Wouldn’t recommend this place. You can go elsewhere much CHEAPER AND COMPLIANT. They took my money without sending me information about the online and class session now they’re fighting for that money back. James at heart chicago training is very unprofessional.

This is class was fun, there is a lot of information to learn in a very short amount of time and for me it was a review from nursing school but still difficult to re-learn. The instructor is really nice and helps and guides you through the skills part of the class. I would definitely recommend the class and instructor. Five stars for sure!

James is absolutely wonderful! Very well knowledgeable and a terrific instructor. He clearly has a passion for what he does and it reflects. I would highly recommend taking a class here. James applies the course to real life situations and scenarios. He provides hands on experience and makes the course really apply to your job. I will definitely send anyone I can here and hope to continue to do so in the years to come.

Ive been a nurse for 10 years, and am currently in between jobs. Chicago Heart Training had excellent availability of classes and James was very helpful with rescheduling a classroom session for me. The class was conducted in a very professional manner, with excellent equipment, and a knowledgeable instructor. James was very helpful with explaining pathophysiology and best practice with good rationales. The other thing that I enjoyed is clean and appropriate equipment. The mannequins arent old and dirty, like the mannequins that have been used for way too many years. A++ Will utilize this service again. James was fantastic!

Ive taken 6 certification/re-cert courses and this was one of the best Ive taken. The didactic learning format was thorough but concise. The instructor, James, was knowledgable, down-to-earth and has a good sense of humor, which made the session enjoyable.

Phillip was a great instructor for my ACLS/BLS training today. I started at 9am and was done by 1 pm (although I was the only one in the class). My instructor was knowledgable, patient and very thorough with ACLS/BLS content. I would recommend this class to anyone in the Chicago area! If I wasnt a travel nurse - I would be back in 2 years for re-certification from Chicago Heart Training.

No nonsense approach in a relaxed yet very professional setting. What more can you ask for? Our instructor James possessed great skill and was very knowledgeable. Most importantly he was able to transfer that knowledge and skill to us seamlessly. I would definitely recommend CHT for anyone looking for recertification.

We just watched videos that I had already watched for free online the night before when studying for the course. They help you pass the exams but his clinical skills section is off the charts difficult. You arent taught beforehand how to handle the situations he puts you in, in front of everyone. I was an EMT for 5 years and just finished the first two years of medical school and I looked like a fool. I wouldnt wish James Gibson on my worst enemies.

The instructor was very knowledgeable and professional, and gave me great feedback during the course. Ive taken BLS courses with different organizations/people for jobs in the past and never left feeling as prepared for a real patient case as I did with this one at CHT! I would highly recommend.

Great review of skills for BLS and ACLS, with helpful review on key concepts during the training to ensure the principal points stick. Mock code helpful for piecing together interventions. Knowledgeable staff that incorporates evidence based practice updates into programming to maximize skill learned.

Had an awesome instructor for the ACLS certification, James Gibson. Would 100% take another course with him and recommend him to anyone looking to take classes. He did a mini review that interacts with the students after every lesson watched on the videos. He even sent out extra learning tools and answered all questions (it didnt feel intimidating to ask at all). He has years of experience and knows everything like the back of his hand!

James did a good job of keeping the sessions focused, responding to questions and ensuring that we learnt the key components of the algorithms. This was my first ACLS training & overall I was nervous beforehand; but the training dynamic was excellent.

This course is great for health care providers with the basic knowledge of cardiac rhythms and BLS. The instructor, James, is very knowledgeable and doesnt bore you with unnecessary mumbo jumbo. The course is straightforward and doesnt make you fall asleep.

The combined BLS/ACLS class was a great learning experience. I have been to BLS/ACLS classes before where it just felt like the instructor was trying to get through it, but this one felt like the instructor actually wanted to ensure we were comprehending. The instructor, James, was a wonderful teacher. He explained everything very clearly and provided correction when necessary. I would highly recommend taking your BLS and/or ACLS at Chicago Heart Training.
