My daughter has attended CLP since Jan 2018, and weve always loved the school. But Ive been beyond impressed by how the leadership and teachers at CLP have all handled the challenges of the last few months. They seamlessly moved our preschool class to zoom, provided volumes of easily accessible online materials at home, and did not miss a single day of instruction. When the city was ready to reopen, they had met all licensing requirements to give us the option of sending her back to school. My daughter is reading short words, and most importantly - so are the other kids her age. They teach to all levels and abilities and believe that every child can succeed. I love that CLP balances warmth, play and social/emotional development with an enrichment program as part of their curriculum. If you have high expectations of children, they will rise to meet them. The school itself is racially and ethnically diverse among the students, parents, and staff. It was hard for us to find a preschool we could trust with our daughter’s education and development. We knew after touring two of their locations that this was the perfect program for our family, and we are absolutely thrilled with their team. Thank you, CLP.

Im not sure about the reports of poor care. My child has been at CLP and Ive seen nothing but excellent things from the toddler group. The teachers are fantastic and go above and beyond at all times. My child loves being there and she has had the same teachers since day 1.I highly recommend CLP to anyone who wants to raise an independent, caring child who thrives on learning. Thats what they have shaped my child into.

Our family has been at the DCLP since 2016. I trust and love the people at Downtown Children’s Learning Place. They have come to be like family to us over the years. My daughter (4) and son (2) LOVE it there. The teachers go above and beyond at every age group to make sure kids are safe happy and engaged in learning. The Wiggles (infant) room was like having an extension of myself at times and my daughter had specific medical issues so I was so thankful to have them to trust when I went back to work- both of my babies were there at 3 and 4 months old. Since then they have progressed through each of the classrooms, and each one we have adored and eventually have become friends with the teachers. Maria and Alicia and I have had honest and productive discussions when I have communicated any questions they have been understanding supportive and accommodating at every turn. I am incredibly grateful for DCLP and it will be a big change for my family when we have outgrown it. I would highly recommend them to any family looking for a safe happy place for their children!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I came to visit my 4 month old baby on my lunch break only to find her with a red swollen eye. No one could tell me what happened to my 4 month old baby. The director is beyond rude and dismissive. Also, they gave my daughter old, spoiled baby food. They had her napping on stained sheets which I had to make them change. Don’t send your baby here. You spend almost $2,000 a month for POOR childcare. I put my daughter in a different daycare and it was MUCH BETTER!

My husband and I visited many daycares in the Streeterville and River North area and landed on CLPD. Its a very difficult situation to let go and trust others to watch your children, but we are very lucky to have sent our 17 week old son to CLPD. They not only provided great care but followed our schedule and listened to our needs and sent multiple daily updates. He definitely thrived while he was there - working on crafts, learning songs/colors/words; and a huge plus for providing diapers/food/wipes, etc. He attended CLPD until he was 9 months old and we moved away from the area (or we would have had him stay until much older). Terrific teachers who have been with Childrens Learning Place for years.

Do not never ever send your child that place . That place is irresponsible and Untrustworthy. They are refusing giving back my Deposit after I took my soon from that place. they cant take care of children well there and they are not really have power over them , One child hit my sons head so bad ,so my son got a Bump in his head . So question is : what are those Teachers doing when children are beating each other .

I have seen so manny teachers come and go out the door in such a short period of time. Children are bearly getting used to the teacher when there is someone new coming in to take their place.. there is so manny staff members off at the same time and also alot of calling off. Always short staffed in atleast 1 classroom a day... staff floating around classrooms everyday.. there is teachers that do not do the work required to be in working in the field and never value the ones that do.. some classrooms are a mess. Childrens work and unfinished work all over the place not to mention staff eating in classrooms. Isnt there children with allergies?? Ok..Assistant director.....Mr. Alex, you will not even notice he is there.. unless he is making jokes good or bad?!The director.. Ms. Maria. Employees and parents have been complaining about her and nothing has ever been done. Employees have quit because of her horrible attitude.. if she is not in a mood she will not even look at you or completely ignore you, walk right past you....And if employees are sick some would rather go in rather than call off because she will make sure to make you feel bad. I have walked several times into the office or sometimes just to take a break all she ever does is sit and be on her phone and when she is not on her phone she has the TV screen set to watch only the infant classroom where her son is in.. you will not see her in any other classroom as much as the infant room. All employees must receive a review annually and we do not see one unless we are after her asking for it. She is a very unprofessional person..
