I wouldn’t recommend this school to ANYONE. You learn NOTHING!!!! They teach you to do a brow one day and boom your on your own no brow mapping no nothing their just collecting money and can care less about how you do when you are out on your own. Instructors and head directors have favorites they will send you home for the most pettiest reason before stocking their products! If you wanna do laundry and dispense products and sit in a room from 9-530 and do nothing go HERE!

School here is a joke, they don’t help you learn anything. They promise you classes to expand you’re knowledge and.... it’s a lie. The instructors are all very unfriendly and catty besides a couple of them. I wish I would of done more research before enrolling here. I’ve brought it to the director’s attention and it’s brushed under the rug. Please do research before enrolling here ladies!!!

I had an amazing first experience here! I cant remember her name but she cut my hair exactly the length I wanted and she was very kind. It seems like a positive environment for students to learn. The instructors would always answer her questions & and reassure that she is doing a great job. She did a fantastic job, ill definitely be back!

I signed up for the 2 facials a month membership. I scheduled my appointment 3 weeks ago for an appointment this morning and confirmed my appointment 3 days ago via text. I come in at my appointment time and am walked back, but then told they are “completely booked.” I said I had made an appointment weeks ago and confirmed and she said it didn’t matter because they were booked. She then said the call center lets the customers know when things are cancelled. I told her I have not received any calls, messages, or texts to let me know this was canceled and that it would be nice to know instead of me driving all the way out here just to be sent away WITH AN APPOINTMENT. I re checked my call history and texts and I didn’t receive anything. She gave me a $10 coupon for “next time” but I probably won’t return. Do not make appointments if you are booked and be respectful by letting customers know ahead of time. I see this has happened to other people who have left reviews. Follow through what you say you will do. Very unprofessional and poor communication.

As a student you want to be taught and that is not what is done at aveda. You teach yourself pretty much everything. We as students are not heard by the instructors or the higher up educators. If you want to go to a school where you pay them lots of money go here. If you want to go to a school where you have to clean bathrooms go here. If you want to go to a school where your bathroom breaks are timed go here. If you want to go to a school where instructors belittle you go here. I have gone and talked to what is supposed to be the “head” of this branch and she does nothing. You’re better off going to a different school.

Have had great experiences there in the past with waxing and spa service and today decided to give them a try for a haircut. I left with a patchy undercut and the top all the same length and sticking up like a troll doll. It looked manageable in the chair but got out to the car and found how patchy it was and realized what the top was doing. I am curry sitting in the lobby of another salon to get it fixed.Probably the worst haircut of my life.

Bad experience. I totally understand all of them being students but the teachers did not help at all and I was sitting for 6 hours to not even get the results wanted. I wanted to be all blonde and for some reason ended up with brown highlights? Not even worth the cheaper price in my opinion! ….. NOBODY HAS REACHED OUT TO ME YET…

Seriously waste of money to be apart of a school that teaches you nothing. They make you feel stupid for asking questions. You try to ask for help with the higher up people and they just say we will figure it out and they DONT!!! Please read this before enrolling these people don’t listen to what you are going through and don’t care. If you have any concerns or anything and go to the office they just brush you off. They are so unprofessional. They are so unorganized as well.

PLEASE READ BEFORE ENROLLING!!I go here and they treat you so badly, you don’t learn anything to help with state board. The instructors are mean, rude, and unhelpful. It’s so sad nothing changes. We as students are treated poorly and the higher up administrative does NOTHING about it. When they comment and say “we are sorry and will look into this” it’s only to keep up appearance.

I go to school here and it’s awful!!!!! The instructors are mean and they don’t teach you anything you really need to know! Seriously they need to clean house with the people who work here.

Ava did a wonderful job. Please keep in mind these are students and they are learning, but honestly, she did just as good of a job as a “tried and true” hairdresser. I’ve been to high end salons and to small town salons, but for the price and the attention to detail, you really can’t compete, especially if you just want something simple. Wish I could tip, though.

Went in to get a balayage. My hair was already pretty blonde and I was just getting the balayage touched up. I left with brown hair and my ends a blueish grey. I have no idea how they put bleach in my hair and I ended up with hair darker than when I came in. The instructors were not doing their jobs at all. They were playing on their phone most of the time and only came by to check at the beginning and end of the service. When I pointed out the issue I was told I was wrong. As soon as I got home my roommates, who didn’t even know I got my hair done, both said “oh my god what did you do to your hair?”. When I called and asked for a refund as this cost me $86 dollars I was told no. I will now have to spend $200 to get my hair fixed. Maybe the instructors should learn to do their jobs.

I got in within a week of emailing the salon! Emma did a great job cutting my hair and styling it with curls. I needed a haircut badly and I just moved to the area.

I went for a 30 min facial and a haircut. The facial was nice. It was my first facial ever, so I did not go in with any expectations. It was relaxing and quick. I will definitely book a longer one in the future.Then I got my haircut with Tara W. She was super professional and listened to what I wanted. She delivered and my hair looks great! She was so nice and we had a fun conversation. I appreciate that she never took out her phone or got distracted, which has happened in the past with other stylists at this location.Overall excellent value and service. I will be coming back!

If you plan to attend this school as a student to be a esthetician don’t do it unless you only want to learn how to provide Facial services they don’t teach you anything else they will cover the topic of other services for a day or two then your on your own.

I was very impressed with their attention to detail regarding social distancing, etc! I would highly recommend their services. Valerie G was a great stylist! I have naturally curly hair and it has never looked better thanks to Val. She was very informative regarding products I could use to achieve the same look myself. I will definitely be back.

I have previously had services done here before with great experiences and outcomes to my hair, but after my most recent visit, I cannot recommend it anymore and you should AVOID this place. I understand the need for students to learn but needs of the customer should not be sacrificed for that. At no point did the student or supervisor/teacher ask me what my goals were or attempt to look at photos of what I wanted done to my hair (this always used to happen). They basically did not communicate AT ALL. The service was just completed with little regard for if I was happy throughout the process, like my head was a mannequin and they were just running through the motions. Furthermore, the teacher acted like it was my fault that I booked a service that takes a long time in the afternoon, even though that is what was offered over the phone. She tried telling me that what I wanted was wrong for my hair and when I offered to reschedule, she said they would take care of me which they most certainly did not.

I go to this school and would NOT recommend going here due to the teachers making you feel absolutely terrible and the zoom teacher Mrs.Marie makes you want to drop out. She picks on students and then thinks it’s funny. I only have her the first two days of the week but still. It’s ridiculous it’s been brought to the head person attention and nothing is still done and she still treats us as she wants. Seriously disappointed.

Had a great spa day. Had a facial and waxing. This is a school but the quality of service is very professional. Support this school you wont be sorry. I will definitely be back.

I love this school to get my hair done. However this is like the 4th time they canceled me at last minute. They are not open on the weekends right now. I cannot miss work so I schedule the late appts. Today they gave me a 10.00 voucher and a 60 min facial but it’s not worth it. I drove here from Delaware County to be turned away once again. What’s the use of a voucher when I can’t get in?

Hate this place so much. Dont ever get a permanent wave they burned my hair so bad that its impossible to do anything now. I asked for bigger roll but the girl insisted using smaller roll and i hated it. After that she told me to see after 2 weeks if i still dont like it and when i came back the store goes like oh you signed the contract to come back in one week and you didnt so you have to pay again. I dont even want to give one star. They ruined my hair so bad. If you want the worst hair in the whole country, theyll be your best bet. And plus the curl didnt even come out well.

Do not waste your time or money attending school here. I was withdrawn from school during a mandatory 14 day quarantine per the Ohio department of health. It’s been over 3 mos and still haven’t been allowed to return but they sure want me to pay them.

Absolutely the worst experience someone can get! My wife went in for full highlights and they talked her out of it and did a horrible job then when i called to get it fixed she said that shes no longer allowed as a customer! Update.... a year later we went back and a girl, Anne Marie did a fantastic job. Thank you!!!

Coming from a student point of view, there is just too much to say. Its ridiculous. If you are looking to go to school here, I do NOT recommend it.

Its unfortunate about the bad reviews because I come here fairly often and have generally really good results.I just (September 29, 2020) had my hair colored, styled and cut by Manny who did a fabulous job.I travel 5 hours round trip and plan my visit as an indulgence day because it is not a fast process - its a school, they are slow/ methodical in their process so as to get the procedures learned and committed to memory in their heads and hands.Really its a trade off, my time for a reduced price and their apprenticeship in their furture chosen profession.There is always an instructor present and following each step of the students progress.I agree that the students need to do a better job of remembering that when they are on the floor working with the public that it is required that they exhibit an EVER PRESENT PROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE whether they feel like it or not - thus the 4 stars rather than 5 stars.When students are in the presence the public, the rules are different than when in a classroom setting where gossiping and complaining may happen because the classroom is considered to be an in private setting - this is an area where I believe there could probably be a little more discipline on the students part.Overall though, I find it a good value and I return time and again for a variety of services - there are a lot of services to chose from.Just plan extra time for your services because the extra time usually returns good results.

This place is hit or miss - understandably - because its a SCHOOL! Dont come here expecting a perfect experience. Ive had them set me up with beginners when I asked for an experienced student. Ive had students cut holes in my hair, give me bangs on accident, etc, you name it. The reason to come here is because its cheap. You can pay a few bucks more for one of their senior students, and usually get a pretty good salon grade haircut. They do have experienced teachers on hand watching over the students. If youre not happy, let them know and get a free visit back or something like that. Ive had some great haircuts here also. And the coloring is so cheap, its wonderful! If the color wasnt what I wanted, I come back within 7 days and get it fixed for free.

Prices are really great. It’s important to remember that the professionals are students - so sometimes the cuts take longer than usual or they may seem nervous - but usually the quality is high as the instructors check in throughout the service. The high quality Aveda products used throughout the service are also a plus. I’ve been for at least 5 manicures and haircuts and never left disappointed especially for the price I paid and overall value.Also, they have a partner charity that accepts donations if your hair is long and you’re looking for a change! The minimum length for donation to their partner is 12 inches and they do it all for you!

I went to Aveda with my girlfriend to get her hair colored. The lady who was appointed to take care of her was someone who took interest in her work and definitely looked like someone who wanted to make her clients feel comfortable telling her what exactly to do. The place has a good vibe with soothing music and a cool environment. I was allowed to sit and watch her get her hair colored. The lady even talked to both of us to make sure that I didnt get bored waiting. It was a great experience!

I have really bad social anxiety and havent been to a salon in 5 years, my hair was super long and super damaged. I really appreciate that the student I had took time to make me feel comfortable and to assure me that she would take care of me. I also really like the fact that she didnt try to talk my ear off. My hair was so long I actually had to stand while she cut my hair, which didnt bother me. She took about 5 inches off and honestly you cant even tell my hair is shorter. The only difference in my hair that I see is that its all one length and healthy again!

I got an all over color, that took 4 hours. And a pedicure that took 1.5 that was so messy and just bad experience overall. Also, a student came in to sit by us during the pedicure and just complained the whole time. I know its a school, but pretty unprofessional. My appointment was at 2:30... Writing this at 7:30. Color and a pedicure should MAYBE be 3 hours total. I also immediately took my polish off when I got home because it looked like a child did it.

I had an appointment with Asia this weekend. It was a great experience for the price I paid.They took my coat when I walked in, offered me something to drink, and Asia did an amazing job on my hair color.Everyone has complimented my hair today. I watched the work of all the other students and they did amazing jobs, I saw one disappointed customer but the instructor took over. Loved it! Excellent prices.

Went for a haircut.Keep in mind that because these are learning students, this haircut is likely to take longer than normal because the instructors are involved before and after the cuttings. They are all so nice and friendly. I have been here twice now and I think these students are better because they are more apt to please the customer and learn how to cut hair right according to each person. I really enjoy coming here and will come again when i need another cut. Plus its a good price for the service.

The Aveda Institute offers exceptional customer service and work. Prices are affordable and every student I had helps me meet my beauty needs. The Instructors/Supervisors are welcoming and personable. When I call for appointments, staff are helpful, caring, and listen to my questions/requests. If you have not booked your appointment, you need to. You will save money or you can treat yourself for a couple extra services. My Mani/Pedi appointments will always be scheduled at The Aveda Institute vs any other salon. They are Fantastic Fabulous!!

If there was an option, I would give this institute negative star or zero. I came all the way from 8 hrs driving distance to attend for a institute Tour in order to sign up for upcoming Cosmetology class, I had made an appointment with Daliya Rozman through phone and text but when I went there today on time, She did not give me a chance for tour even though II explained and showed her the text messages conversation but she all the time ignored. they didnt treat new people good. Seems like they do not need any more new students.Daliya did everything for not to have me in the tour.. I was quite surprised that I waited until 12:15 but there was no one showed up and it was told in a group. I am still thinking about why she did it to me? why I was treated that way... It was 8 hours driving one way... its not a joke...... I do not know how did they got 4 star .. should have 1 star... according to my experience today. She just spoiled my weekends. Too bad experience!

I went yesterday for my first visit to get a simple haircut to even out my length again. Overall it was an OK experience. Positives were that I am happy with my haircut. Negatives were that my stylist was a little unprofessional checking her phone every time it went off. Made me feel like I wasnt her priority. Also I woke up this morning with a bruise on the back of my neck from the shampooing when my head was bounced a little bit on the metal sink. They give a great massage and its very relaxing while being shampood however im a little sore today.

The girl who dyed my hair took 3 hours to just do a simple highlight on my short hair! I asked for a very subtle streaks of highlights that matches my natural black hair. But she kept the bleach for so long it turned out to be orange instead of being at all close to my hair color! But at least she took the time to fix it so giving 2 stars for that. Then i also wanted a haircut but apparently the girl only knows how to color hair. Gave me the most god awful haircut thats not evened out at the bottom! I showed her a picture just so she knew what exactly I wanted. She didnt even look at the picture for a second. As you can tell she cut my hair nothing like the picture, no layers what so ever when I specifically asked for layers! And of course she could not cut it to the length i asked for, now its so short i want to cry. NEVER. AGAIN.

Got a facial and it was amazing. These girls really know what they are doing, especially being students and still in the learning process. Professional, knowledgeable and ready to take great care of their clients.

I had a haircut/style and brow wax at the Gateway location, and was very pleased with my services. It was my first time at the Aveda Institute, but Id had a bad experience at a cosmetology institute before, so I requested a senior student. She was pleasant and prompt, and my total visit was only an hour and forty-five minutes, which was good considering both services, the stylists attention to my hair, and the throw-ins that Aveda offers, such as the mini facial and massage. While the stylists talked among themselves about their schooling, etc., I didnt feel ignored at all, and my stylist and I talked quite a bit, as well. I didnt get the makeup touch-up that the site says is included, but I really didnt care for it, anyway. Also, she didnt try to sell me any products, which I really appreciated. For the price and the quality, it was a great value, and Id highly recommend the institute, as long as you have the time. Id also recommend requesting a senior student.

A big shout out to Marissa who cut my hair today into a really cut short cut! I walked into the Aveda on Neil Avenue with shoulder length damaged hair and walked out with a chic classic cut that looked exactly like the photo that I gave her of the style that I wanted! I love my new look! I will definitely be back!

I graduated from the Institute over two years ago from both Esthiology and Manicuring. I worked very hard to learn all I could from qualified and professional instructors who really care about teaching each student how to make a living in the industry and to do so by the standards of the state. There are always students at every learning institution who are less committed than others, which I was very familiar with after my undergraduate experience, so please dont let that deter your experience for receiving a service or learning a new career skill. I was also employed within three months of graduation and have remained close with my instructors since. Ultimately, I cannot image having had a better experience.

I was interesting in attending the school, but came out of my tour very disillusioned. The massage & waxing tables looked dirty. I was grossed out by the thought of laying on them. The students were kinda lounging around looking bored. They didnt seem very productive at all. I met one of the instructors & she appeared as though she was barely out of high school. I have to ask myself what kind of education can I receive from an instructor who doesnt look like she has a whole lot of experience under her belt. Needless to say, I will not be attending that school. It looks like a waste of time, energy & money. :(

I always get my hair colored ,every step of the way they cant go wrong they always have an instructor each step of the way to make sure everything thing done correct .

Initially, the area I sat in was a table, covered by a glass, that had fingerprints, grease and crumbs. I had to brush the crumbs away for the technician to notice. Not a very good first impression. Then, found out they do not remove gel nails. They do not ask ahead of time, although it was mentioned by the manager that they were supposed to. Nothing offered for the inconvenience and waste of the 15 mins that had went by before this was determined.

I made an appointment three months ago for my daughter and I to get highlights because she turns 13 today. I let them know this when I made the appointment. When I arrive today for our 10 o’clock appointment she looked at me and said he called you to tell you that your stylist did not come in today which was eight minutes before our appointment and we had to drive an hour. How the situation was handled was poor I would not recommend going back. Highly disappointed in the situation. They gave me a whole bunch of excuses and no solutions Not a way to run a business and you’re not teaching your students properly on teaching them responsibility!!!!

One of my favorite places to get a cheap, affordable haircut. Youll get it done by a student but 9/10 times, it has been a good experience and was very professionally done. They also provide free massage and facials as well as tea.

I wish I could give Aveda zero stars

I dont usually go to places like this, but I had heard good things and it was the closest place for me to get a haircut. The woman who ended up cutting my hair (cant remember her name) was very nice and talkative. That being said when it came time to cut my hair she seemed to cut one strand of hair at a time. She would talk to fellow students and it seemed like she forgot she was cutting my hair. After about an hour of this she asked if I thought it was ok, I politely said no and told her what I wanted. However she continued at a snails pace until her instructor came over and ended up finishing my haircut. I hated the haircut, but I told her it was fine just so I could leave without her messing my hair up more. She cut my sides totally uneven and left some parts thicker than others. I ended up going to a barbershop to get it fixed. I will probably never go back, I cant afford to spend $15 on a crappy haircut.

Very disappointed for how they handle the appointment! I made an appointment and drove 1.5 hour to there on this Saturday. When I arrived there for my 3:45 pm appointment, the worker said that studnet didnt come today, and they dont have anyone to do it for me. She said they called me at 8 am in the morning and more excuses. But there is no miss phone call shows on my phone. Also, I received a message from them to remind me I have appointment 2 hours beforey appointment. I looked other people review, and noticed Im not the only one in the same situation. They should have better customers service. Find solution, not excuse.

Great price for student services

My daughter will graduate from Aveda this week, she had an Excellent experience and learned so much !! I always loved my color and my cut!! Just keep in mind the students are learning and you will be there longer than if you were at a regular salon.

Always nice to meet new people who want the experience at a fraction of the cost. I appreciated trying this out.

I used to love coming here for my leg waxing and underarm waxing. But the last time I had service, the girl was untrained, and she ripped the wax off of my underarm, and did not pull my skin taut like it is supposed to be done causing SEVERE pain. I cried. I asked for someone else to complete, and no supervisor came in to check. Some lady approached me in the bathroom, and asked how I liked the service, and if a supervisor had checked me?? I was like who are you? And she said she was the supervisor. Very unprofessional. Then once I got home, so much hair was missed on both of my legs. Awful. And my poor underarm took days to heal. Awful. I had to buy gel with lidocaine to ease the discomfort. And the same day I had a pedicure (which was good!!) but the supervisor stopped by and said she was going on lunch break and would “sign off” on my pedicure before she left. So no one checked when my pedicure was completed. But thankfully, it was a good pedicure. And then last month I came in for a haircut, and it was awful. Lopsided, choppy. The student ripped my hair out as she was brushing it, and hurt my ears when she kept hitting them while brushing!! Awful. She made me stand while she cut it??? Awful. I have never had to stand for a hair cut. An hour it took her, and I’m almost 60. It was brutal. And it was an awful cut. So, I came back for a recut, and senior student made it marginally better, but it is still longer on one side than the other, choppy, uneven, and looks like a 10 year old cut it!! When I pointed out that one side was longer than the other, the stylist said it was because I parted my hair on the side. OMG!! SMH. And earlier this summer, I had an awful pedicure, and the girl didn’t clean all the old polish off my nails, OR SKIN, and barely filed my nails, and, and painted my cuticles, terrine paint job, and even painted my pinky toe on the skin above, and not the nail, cuz that nail is so small. And the supervisor came to “check” and asked if I was happy, and left. I felt the supervisor should of looked closer, and not burden the client with pointing out the student’s mistakes!! I had to come back for a re-do on that pedicure. Awful. I will not be returning to Aveda and it’s sad, because I had been going to Aveda (Neil Ave and now Bethel Rd) for waxing and pedicures for almost 10 years, and was always pleased with service. It’s changed in the last couple of years. Somethings changed there, and it’s not good. The supervisors are worthless. No one is checking the students work. Abysmal service.

I was nervous about coming here, and honestly had no idea how to describe what I really wanted but Nina along with her instructor, were able to pull what I wanted right out of my head and make it happen.She was dedicated to making sure I got exactly what I had in mind.

Ive been going to Aveda for years and have never had a bad haircut or experience.

Should really have the students learn more before working on clients. Had a pedicure there and the bottom of my feet were messed up for a month due to him buffing the bottom of my feet rather than removing the callus parts.

Kateri gave me a superior cut today. It is very difficult to cut short hair, but she did it quickly - tapering and texturing, perfectly! I was extremely pleased!

I went to the Aveda on campus, b/c I didnt know that the juniors and seniors were at the secondary location... I made an appt, only because the phone operator said there was a senior that could cut my hair... so I arrive & the staff informs me that only freshman and sophomores where there performing services, having just had a terrible haircut- reluctantly, I stayed....The student was amazing! I loved the cut she gave me ... and then the teacher came over to remove bulk ... I know have chunks missing from only one side of my head, bc she only did one side.I just found a pc that went from about 9 to 3... and its noticeable.go ahead and go, just dont ever let them say we are going to remove bulk SPRINT OUT!

The aveda . copied from the existant style and the attitude should be top notch . irish babe is the dynamite only if she treats baby boys really good. more service more business. attitude determines altitude. to become a good irish girl u need to understand the customer mindset. step up the game girls. love the aveda tea and curly baby

Aveda is the only place i shop for my hair and beauty needs. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the best products for me and my daughter hair type because we are of mixed race. Our hair is lovely and skin products keep our naturally, makeup free faces beautiful. You have my loyalty as a customer just as you have been very kind and sweet to us whenever i come there. Truly loves this establishment and the people you employ. Coming from me thats great because Im a very critical person who only utilizes the best services out. The moment I walked in the door at AIC I knew this was the school for me! When walking through on my tour I noticed that students were busy, the staff was warm and inviting, and I could tell immediately that I was going to get a quality education. My educators (April and Kara) were AMAZING- they took the time with each student to confirm their understanding of the material and it was apparent that they were passionate about educating students so that they were successful in the workplace. During the first portion of my training, I learned the fundamentals of esthetics (anatomy, skin physiology, etc)--both in theory and hands-on. We learned how to complete 5 different facials from start to finish, lash/brow tinting, makeup applications, and full body waxing; it was definitely fast-paced, but I felt confident in my abilities because my instructors took the time to teach me how I could improve and what would be expected in the real world.After the fist portion of my training, I was down on the spa floor offering services to paying guests. Most days were busy, which allowed me to perfect my skills. Slower days would happen (as in every spa), but it was my decision to take advantage of those slow times to work on fellow students, catch up on bookwork, and learn additional tips and techniques from my supervising instructor. One frustrating aspect was that not everyone would do as I did and keep busy--but I guess youll have that in all work places.About three weeks before I graduated, April taught my class state board prep. She took us step by step to prepare us for our practical exam and even sent us home with everything we needed for the test. We also did practice written exams (which wasnt my favorite). Once I graduated and got my paperwork from Aveda, I scheduled my state board exam. Looking around the room at all the test takers from other schools made me appreciate the time that April took, teaching us the correct procedures for the practical exam. There were four of us from Aveda taking the test together and we were all calm, cool, and collective; I definitely noticed some frazzled faces from other schools. I passed both exams and scored in the 90s.I did not take advantage of the free nail program after graduation (not a huge fan of feet) but some of my classmates did. Aveda only offers natural nail services (no gel or acrylic), but when students arent busy, they had plenty of time to practice and prepare for state board. I came back for the free managers program (not necessary to do, but very helpful)--I appreciated the fact that it was a separate program because I was able to take a little vacation from school before starting the managers portion. I was fully prepared again for the 50 question state board exam--I missed one question.Since graduating, I have had many opportunities for employment (I interviewed in NYC at an Aveda spa in SoHo and a non-Aveda waxing studio in San Fran). I have consistently had potential employers rave about Aveda students skills. I currently work at one of the top well-known spas in Columbus (non-Aveda) and LOVE IT! I felt prepared walking in because of my education.For me, Aveda was the perfect fit and I will never regret my decision. Ive heard positives and negatives about both Aveda and Spa School, but I think thats how it is with everything. Take the time to research both location and see which fits your personality better. I would also contact employers and ask them which school produces better estheticians, because from my experience- I have always heard Aveda.

DO NOT attend this school. For estheology anyway, they do not take it seriously and i have been screwed time and time again becauseof the below par instruction i recieved there. Not only that but on 4 seperate occasions i have been over looked for jobs based on the fact that i attended Aveda. (i have actually been told this, i am not assuming).The for mentioned experiences came only after having grduated, I havent, and will not go into the substandard training they provide you with, or the catty and high school remenicent staff, or the fact that the free nail course left me COMPLEETLEY unprepared for state board. (i know aveda is a natural and green corperation, but they need to understand that we will need to learn acrylics and gel nails more in depth to make it in the real world0 it really seems all they are looking for is free work and molding Aveda Soldiers to put in their salons. oh and i didnt mention the the managers course is NOT included in the original course, you have to sign up and attened it sepreately, they mislead you into thinkingthat yo can get a job witout it. yeh, good luck with that. overall my experience with this school is lacking and this is not a highly recognized school for estheticians. please keep this in mind before wastin your time and money.
