I have used Barber and cosmetology services at Rivertown for well over 15 years and have been very pleased with the majority of services that I have received. I have had periods of time when I was unable to come to Rivertown but when I returned I had the same friendly, courteous and respectful service that was ongoing when I left. When I had my serviced at Rivertown oh, I went to the barber shop to get my haircut. My haircut is short and Mr Rainer the instructor knows how to cut my hair and leave me looking feminine with the low haircut. I was so appreciative of having my hair finished by one of the students. The young lady took Extra Care 2 edge my side and front edges as well as being very careful with my back edges oh, they were beautifully straight when she and Mr Rainer finished! Again, I was very please with the service that I got at Rivertown! Thank You, Ms. Lewis.

I had deleted my comment but i want be returning first off the lady at the front desk only nice to who she wants to be nice to.. also the student jay did me a silk press and burnt my scalp pretty badly when she washed my hair her long nails was scratching my scalp she just showed no concern about my hair whats so ever... no am not removing my comment its the truth and it needs to be told...

The beauty college was so welcoming and did an excellent job n cutting my sons hair. He was well pleased.

Ive been going to Rivertown a few years now for a root color touch up. My experience my vary on each visit but overall Im satisfied.

The students/stylists are always kind and efficient. But Ms. Ray (an instructor there, it seems) is very rude. Once, a stylist complimented my skin. I jokingly said, Thanks, I drink no water. Ms. Ray commented, Thats why your hair looks like that. (At the time, my hair was very damaged.) On another occasion, I noticed that it was approaching time for my scheduled Lyft ride (a time that Ms. Ray herself had suggested) and that my hair was nowhere close to finished. This was at night. When I informed Ms. Ray, who was helping a student with my hair, that I could push my ride to 11:25 PM, Ms. Ray roughly responds, Were not going to be here at 11:25. Youll be waiting outside! I did not walk out of there until 11:35.

I got color,wash retwist and style... And my results were awesome..

My first time to Rivertown school of beauty👌🏽.What more can I say is that I will be going again! My hair dresser Keria did a great job. I was very impressed with her. Shes an original. Thank you RivertownYes, I couldnt leave out that the next day I went back to get my nails done and I was accompanied by another young lady Jasmine who exhibited such a beautiful personality to please me as her customer. She was so professional in her demeanor towards her future career. I was very satisfied with the finishing touches. As a retired professional myself, I am so proud to see how diverse the school is and what it stands for (Excellence) . I will be encouraging others to go to this school. Opportunity is there for those who desires a bright future. I believe it produced quality at the highest level for what I observed. You, Rivertown recieves a Stellar Award from me. You must keep in mind these are students learning to horne the skills of personal grooming (hair, manicures, pedicures and eye brows) I truly enjoy going there because their prices allow me to get my hair done once a week. To all the students and supervisors keep up the good work.

First, you have to come with the mindset that this is a school, and these are students. Once you understand that, you can forgive the occasional Ehh... job. And I do mean occasional. Ive been coming here for a few years with my three daughters, and they consistently wow us! We are all natural with hair lengths ranging from mid back to below the waist...and my daughters have biracial hair of three different levels of coarseness. What Im saying is this, these girls know their stuff. And when they have trouble or need coaching, their lead is their watching and giving directions. They also are VERY friendly! The laughing and good-natured ribbing of each other makes you feel like you are with family!

I had my nails done only for 3 days and they already falling off. I know theyre students and still learning but this just not acceptable & their prices are high might as well go to a professional!

People are kind they are also Curtis and greet you with joy and pleasant place to be I love it

They dont teach you anything you would have to learn on your own.instructors make rude comments. They never allow you to make up the mistakes that where made.

The kids are giving services withoit ANY help or advise from the teachers as though they are the professionals and at the price I paid I think the teacher should TEACH and not allowthe student to navigate blindly on the client.

The prices are low the peoples are friendly and kindly thats a nice place to go to get your hair and your haircuts done and nails and told her not to do it all up there they even fix wigs just a nice group of people that there that I would always go and get my hair cut up that for $5 it do hair for 25 and up yes they are they are real friendly and kindly up there yes they are

Totally accepting of a Transgender Queen such as myself. Some customer think its weird when their female nail painter has a five o clock shadow but they dont judge.

Horrible Experience! I came here to get my eyebrows waxed and they came out terrible they didn’t even look like I got them done . Then the teacher came in and cut them un even. NEVER AGAIN! They don’t give refunds
