This is a great place for children(or adults) to not only build self confidence, but also learn discipline. Training is not easy, but it is fun! You will gain a great deal of flexibility, balance, muscle strength, and cardiovascular fitness. Of course, you will also learn how to defend yourself!

I went to check out a Kung Fu dojo, I studied in Various martial arts along with a long military history. When I asked Master Tomizaki if he taught adults he said no but on the website it clearly states that they instruct all ages from young children to senior citizens. I was very polite but dont false advertise!

Attended a self-defense course here (Empowerment) and could not recommend it more highly. Class is taught in a smart, positive way, with lots of practical advice. Teachers are excellent - clear and direct, but also kind and encouraging. Plus, it was fun! Would recommend the class for everyone, but particularly teenage girls (middle school to entering college age). If I lived closer I would DEFINITELY take classes here.

In 2010 at the age of 55 I became bored with going to the gym and with my son decided to join Tomizakis Champions Kung Fu school in Concord. The only thing I knew about Kung Fu at the time was the TV show back in the 70s and Of course Bruce Lee. The school was a wonderful opportunity to bond with my kid and as I would soon find out, stay in shape. Students from all age groups are welcome and each of us learn at our own speed. Over the last eight years I have been part of an amazing school with students working their way up the belt ladder. Learning not only Choy La Fut Kung Fu but respect, honor and comradery. Grand Master Tomizaki, Sifu Steffani and the rest of the instructors are truly gifted teachers making each class fun and challenging. At 63 Im in the best shape of my life and hope to take my Black Belt test sometime this year.
