Oak leaf is an amazing place for any child! My child has grown tremendously and that’s due to their strong leadership and philosophy that ALL children can learn. My daughter is undergoing speech therapy and occupational therapy for language delays and tantrums. She had been kicked out of many schools but oak leaf is the first school to TRULY support my child. My 2 year old was non verbal and now she’s mimicking words. I am amazed by the love and support she gets from EVERY individual she encounters. Special shoutout to Ms.Najee, Mr.Ben, Ms.Hannah, and Ms.V.Ms.Najee asked to attend her occupational therapy sessions to learn more about my child. They made time to incorporate the visual flash card and drills that supported language development and for that reason y’all …. I can praise them enough! This school is so amazing. They embody their philosophy.I’m so glad my daughter and my son attend this school. Ms.Noni is the REALest!! My four month old also thrives with Ms.Maritza and Ms.Jennifer. The infant crew is loving, safe, and efficient too! These babies are engaging in all kinds of activities that parents can witness on their app! The brightwheel app is dope! I’m always in the loop of meal times, feedings, and classroom lessons for each of my children.Sidenote: If you decide to attend, tell them Harleigh and Knox’s mom referred you. (Thank me later 🤩)

I love Oak leaf school. My son has flourished so much since his enrollment. I’m grateful that they nurture the skills he has while teaching him new skills. Mrs Noni the director is a great leader. When the class was in between teachers she came in and taught the students. She’s very passionate about what she does. There are so many other great things I can say but I’ll end it here. The school is a gem and I’m glad we found it!

The Oak Leaf School is one of a kind. The difference is evident in the enrollment process. The administration was concerned with ensuring that my child would be acclimated to the environment by allowing us to visit several times before enrolling.

We searched high and low for the best, kid-centered, fun learning environment for our two kiddos who had never been to any kind of daycare center before. I had a lot of anxiety especially about how our 2.5 year old would handle it. I cannot say enough good things about Oak Leaf. Everyone we’ve ever dealt with has been professional and genuinely happy to see and interact with my kids every day. My 2.5 year old still has some tough mornings, but the second she knows Ms. Noni is there, she goes running in. The love that woman has for her job and the children under her care is unparalleled in my opinion. The learning environment is self-directed and easily accessible so kids can pick and choose what to learn about and explore on a daily or even hourly basis. The app they use to communicate daily far surpasses most other centers’ forms of communication. We get updates every single day about our kids’ eating, sleeping, and learning trends… which with growing kids is super helpful. It also eases this worried momma’s heart to see photos of my kids having fun and playing with their friends. We absolutely love this place and the staff.

I love that I can see my child in the infant room. The app is wonderful, it shows you what they eaten, potty, and picture and video. Love this daycare and his teachers are the best.

The Oak Leaf School has been a great educational investment and experience for my grandson. He’s been enrolled for almost a year and from the moment he walked through the door he was comfortable and ready to engage in learning. There have been a few minor incidents and concerns . However, they were all handled quickly, professionally, and with compassion. I’m so happy that we chose this learning program for our grandson. Families are welcomed to participate, share ideas, and be actively engaged with their child’s learning. There are a few restrictions due to covid but all for the safety of the staff and students. Brightwheel is also a great connection resource for parents to get a peak into their child’s day and to communicate with the schools teachers and staff. So far, so good!! Praying that they continue to prosper in all areas of growth and development!!

Unfortunately, I did not have a great experience with the administration at this school. I NEVER leave reviews but I had to take the time out to document my experience with the school. Everything started out positive and we completed a tour of the daycare on 5/6/21 with another family that same day. Ms. Noni was very detailed with informing us about everything the daycare had to offer and what the particular classroom that my son would be enrolled in does. We were very eager to get our son started as well as the other parents because she informed us that there were only two slots left for that particular class and that week we completed the tour on was also my sons last week at his previous daycare. So fast forward to May 10th, I receive the application and I turned it in on the same day to the school. I did not turn it in or speak to the director Ms. Noni but another staff member. I asked him what were the next steps and when would we know about the discovery day that was a part of the requirements to start. He said that Ms. Noni would reach out to me, ok no problem. So here we are on 5/13/21 and I am emailing the school about completing the discovery visit and family orientation because I have not heard anything. The response that I received verbatim is: Good Morning,We had you scheduled to come in for a discovery visit this past Tuesday. Would you like to come in next Tuesday? If so, would you like to come in during the morning or afternoon? So after hearing that I am honestly puzzled because I did not receive a call or email to inform me of this? I relay that and received this response verbatim:I apologize. Ms. Noni said you mentioned it during the tour. We’re booked for today and we’re closed for a professional development day tomorrow. Are you available to come in for a discovery visit next Wednesday? After seeing this I am thinking to myself ok I did mention that but I assumed that this would be confirmed by the director or someone because of how structured the process is, not that I just waltz in because I said that is when we would like to do it. That was the first issue but I didnt think much of it. So we complete the discovery visit on 5/19/21 and everything goes well. I then speak with another staff member (male) who states that we could complete family orientation once we turn in all documents, we were missing his birth certificate. No problem, I ordered my sons birth certificate and received within a week.Once I have the last document we needed I proceed to call the school and ask when can we schedule the family orientation, I speak with the assistant director this time. She stated that we could not complete it that same week we did the discovery visit because the director was out of town, sure no problem. So she said we could come and do the new family orientation on 5/26/21 at 5:00PM. At this point, for some reason I was under the impression that all of the family needed to be present for this and so that is why we did it in the evening to accommodate my husbands work schedule. Fast forward to the day of our family orientation (a week has passed) and I receive a call that day at 2:30PM stating that they needed to cancel the orientation to prepare for a preschool ceremony the next morning. At this point I am irritated honestly because I feel as if we are getting the run around and we have been patient and gotten documents in a timely manner and have communicated with them almost every week. So I called and thankfully Ms. Noni answered the phone. She stated that she was not aware that they had scheduled us and that she was heading out of the door to her sons high school graduation and that she would email me briefly. She never did but she sounded like she was in a hurry so I made no big deal.I called the school the next day and no one picked up. So I decided to go up there to turn in the rest of my sons documents and to see when we could complete the orientation.

Continued reviewThe first woman that came to the door seemed confused as she didnt understand what I was trying to do, another woman came to the door and I explained that I was here to turn in documents for my sons application and to see when we could complete his new family orientation. Ms. Noni then came to the door and I reminded her of my sons info and she asked if I wanted to go ahead and complete the orientation now so of course I said sure because this is going on week 3 of him not having childcare. We completed the new family orientation with no problem, she enrolled my child in their app and at the end I asked so when can he start. This was last Thursday 5/27. She stated that she was not sure and did not want to give me an answer yet without being sure and also that she needed to go help clean up after their ceremony. She stated that she communicates through their app Brightwheel often therefore I messaged her that Friday on 5/28/21 at 12:45PM to ask for an update on my sons start date. I did not receive a response so I called the school at 2:30PM and no one answered. Called back in a hour and spoke to a female staff member, she stated that she would put me on hold. Came back to the phone and told me that Ms. Noni was going to message me back in Brightwheel now. I never received a response and was fed up at that point so I did not call back that evening. So here we are on 6/1/21 almost a month later from the initial visit on 5/6/21 and I asked my husband to go up to the school before work to check on the status of his start date. My husband informed me that he rung the doorbell and waited a little because no one came, luckily a male was walking up the door and asked what he could be helped with, who he needed to see and if he had an appointment. He stated he did not have an appointment but asked the male if Ms. Noni was here which the male stated yes. My husband stated he was here to see Ms. Noni regarding our childs start date. He left and came back and stated that she was with a staff member right now and would give us call. The facility and program seems great, the play area is innovative and clean. The school seemed like it would have been great. We were drawn in because of the small teacher to child ratio and the structure of the program, activities and amenities. But the administration or the way they communicate (or lack thereof) and how they handle business definitely needs some improvement. I am not sure why we had to have this experience with them and I am not sure why everyone did not seem to be on the same page regarding info but they should really look to improve this for potential clients at their daycare. Like I said, I never leave reviews but I felt that this was important to document not to expose them but more so for it to be a learning experience and to also give my experience so that other prospective clients could take note.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Oak Leaf. As first time parents, we were very nervous about where we could take our daughter for daycare when we had to return to work - especially during Covid. We visited a few other facilities in Fayetteville and didnt feel great about any of them. Then we found Oak Leaf. By the time we finished our first visit, we knew that is where we wanted our daughter to go, even though it was still a few months away. Now that she goes everyday, she loves it and we can really tell she is having a great experience learning and having fun (even at 7 months old). Ms. Noni, Ms. Jennifer, and Ms. Jaunae are all wonderful teachers and we can tell they really have a passion for what they do. We feel like they are part of the family now and feel so grateful they are taking such great care of our daughter each day.

As working parents with 9 to 5 hours, my husband and I were unsure on how we would navigate the virtual learning world with our son. Mrs. Noni, the director at Oak Leaf School created a virtual learning lab for school age children; that supervises and assists children while they are in their virtual classes. I am so grateful that this ECE program supports virtual learners. Without this support one of us would be jobless. The entire school is absolutely beautiful. It has infant, toddlers, and preschool classrooms that are inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach. The area where the school age children are located, is an actual gym with multiple rooms that has different activities for the children. My son loves attending the virtual learning lab and talks about his day at Oak Leaf School nonstop. The entire staff is caring, loving, patience, and professional. This is truly a school that hires teachers that love what they do.

This is the best school in Fayette County! I toured several schools in the area and NONE compared to Oakleaf! Their learning curriculum and hands on approach is much different than all the other schools in the area who only use Abeka. I have a busy 3 year old and I knew the Abeka curriculum wouldn’t be a good fit for him. I liked the fact that the director really took the time to explain their approach to learning. The center also has a garden, mud-pit, and the classroom set up is amazing! They also have the brightwheel app to keep parents updated throughout the day with photos and comments. They are also way more affordable than all the other centers in the area and they offer way more! All the teachers seemed engaged and actually loved to teach vs. just baby sitting. I never review anything but I had to review this school! My son and my family already love this center! I highly recommend the center to any parents looking. They are also the only center that does field trips when Covid-19 isn’t a issue.

If you’ve been struggling to find a place that cares for your child(ren) the way you do Oak leaf is Hands down the best school/daycare for the little people you love. The facility is beautiful and has a very home feeling to it . My children love their teachers and have not had an issue making new friends. I have frequent communication sent throughout the day of what they have eaten and how they are doing, as well as picture and video updates of how their day is going via there family friends app.I was initially worried about leaving them the first day but all of that worry dissipated when I could see how much fun they have here. Unlike many schools they have a a very hands on ( make a mess) way of teaching which allows them to express themselves freely. Which has drastically reduced the crayon I find written on my walls at home.As a “ Helicopter Mom” I wouldn’t want my kiddos anywhere but here.

This is my sons 1st time in daycare, and his mom and I were very selective. He is 3 and has excelled in the few months he has been enrolled at Oak Leaf. They provide details of his day and communicate effectively. Any negative review is not condusive to the wonderful experience and care that Mrs. Noni and her staff provides. Every afternoon he expresses how he loves his teacher, Mrs. Myia, and his new friends at school. Oak Leaf has provided us a peace of mind, and an outlet for my child to grow and nurture his expanding mind and curiousity.

When I first moved to Fayetteville I was shocked at the limited options for quality preschool (with hours that accommodate working parents.) Once I found Oak Leaf school, I felt an immense sense of relief. For less than I was paying at a chain, my daughter gets a more individualized, natural approach to learning. The Reggio philosophy is beautiful in so many ways, supporting children by respecting their innate strengths and curiosity. Im thankful I found you guys!

I enrolled my son Ms Noni the director started off with a professional attitude but that quickly changed. On my son’s first day of the school I was contacted two hours after his arrival to say that he had a runny nose and he couldn’t return until he received a note from the doctor. I thought this was very unprofessional. When I picked my son up, I was so upset because this was his first day of school school and I didn’t expect this type of unprofessionalism. I told her at that time that I wasn’t sure that he will be returning; however, I reached back out to her the same week on Thursday and Friday and did not get a response from her. The following week I was told that my son slot had been filled. Before enrolling him I was told that the school would probably not be a good fit for my son because of the director and her attitude and all of that was proving to be true. She’s always out of the office when trying to contact her you never get anyone, she’s the only one that can answer any question and no one ever answersthe phone. Leave a message, no one ever returned your call this is the first time I’ve experienced this nonsense from a business. I would not recommend this facility to anyone not as long as Ms. Noni is the owner and director.

Oak Leaf School has been a tremendous blessing to me and my family!! For the last year both of my children ages 4 and 7 Have loved everything about Oak leaf and it’s teachers. I have had so many bad experiences with daycare facilities not having patience with my children, just the compassion that should be extended to younger children I had not experienced. Finding Oak leaf has ease all my Anxieties that I had regarding daycare centers. The amount of love , support , and nurture that is given is amazing, the facility is clean, I love how I get daily updates on my children, the atmosphere is awesome . I love how everything is hands on for the kids , it’s a calming feel , everything has a natural/Holistic feel!My children are learning and growing , I love the small setting and the one on one that they receive..I am forever grateful for everyone, Ms Noni , Mr John ,Ms Mya , Mr Benjamin .. the staff are all great !! And with us being virtually now , I mean Lifesavers so much of my load has been lifted , I can still work in peace without worry if my kids are ok , the stress has definitely been lifted and I’m forever grateful!!Thank you Oak leaf For always caring and providing safe , clean environment for my children...Tiffany Favors

As I mentioned in a prior review this is not the place that you want to carry your child where he/ she may be dismissed because of a runny nose which is taken way out of context. Everything is blamed on COVID-19 now. The director Is very unprofessional and lacks leadership style. Be ware of where you leave your child(ren). I definitely would not recommend. She’s very confrontational and likes to go back-and-forth when you are able to contact her.

I love this school! The facilities are clean and well kept and the provocations are amazing! I love looking at Brightwheel to see pics and updates. Most of all, the love the entire staff has for my daughter is unmatched by any other facility. They go out of their way to make her feel at home, which in turn helps me feel at ease while working. A great gem on the south side for sure!

I have 2/3 year old who attends here. I been searching for months for a great daycare/school to send my toddlers. When I called I spoke with the owner she was very pleasant and nice. She invited me to come in for a school tour. When I tell you this place is amazing and huge. It’s very clean the staff is professional. She told me about all the curriculums she have planned. This place is amazing my kids are learning not just playing and napping all day. I love that my kids can stay here until 5th grade. My children loves this place they wake up on Saturdays looking to go lol. When they come home they love to tell me all the awesome fun they had. And don’t let me forget I know everything my kids are doing, learning, eating, napping, potty or if they have an accident . They have a app to communicate with you through out the day. I love getting pictures of my children daily. The teachers are wonderful and very patient. They definitely are good. I truly love this place for my children my search is over. Thank you Mrs Walton and staff for everything.
