For such an expensive school I would hope to have a dean with some integrity. But Dean Knox is the worst. Told me ( a 3.9 gpa student) that students had no right to complain about a professor and because I am just a student I had to just deal with it. Last time I checked students pay to attend this institute... and with that being said deserve the right to proper education.Funny enough the same professor I had a complaint about got fired for the same issue I had a few months after. Would not recommend this school to anyone.

I have been at Keiser for one term online only, after this term ends on October 21st I will transfer to another school. My experience started off great. They told me exactly what I wanted to hear from the beginning. The problem is with the teachers who teach the online classes. Some of the teachers would pile on a ton of work in the classes that are only 4 weeks long, which, is terrible if youre a parent and working adult. They advertise this school as a school for working adults to get an accelerated degree, but with this enormous amount of work you would have to stay up all night to complete or miss out on time with your family.Grades are supposed to be done by Tuesday, but depending on the teachers you could get your grades on any day of the week. MY current professor seems to not read the work or emails being sent to her and responds with answers that have nothing to do with what was asked. Professors are supposed to get back to you within 24 hours, that also did not happen. When I attempted to talk to the school about it I was told that I have great grades and need to relax.Honestly, for the money youre paying for this school I would suggest going somewhere else that would treat your concerns like they are important.

I want to start off by saying I have a wonderful encounter with Lorena the bursar. I was unaware I had a balance and she took the time out of her day to help me figure out everything. The Campus President Nancy is absolutely amazing, i really wish i met her sooner during my time at Keiser University.Because of Nancy, I am giving Keiser a 5 star review because i feel there could be potential here.Unfortunately, my time enrolled in the DMS was cut very short due to the lack of professionalism with the professors. They are constantly telling you that the program is extremely hard and you will not have a life for 19 months during the program, which is true. If you have children or even work a full time job (or even part time), DO NOT ENROLL FOR DMS! You literally have to have 100% financial support from your spouse or parents to be able to attend. For me, time with my children and work is a must (even 1 hour a day is impossible to have alone with family in this program). Although I like the fact that the professors let you know that the program is hard, I DO NOT like that they constantly remind you that it is going to be extremely difficult to get through this program, people constantly drop this program, more than half your class that you start with, will no longer be with us during time of graduation because they will either drop or fail. Hearing it once, sure, but hearing 3 times a day every day gets really discouraging. Now, I have always excelled with academics - I just made Deans List before my last class, and IT IS STILL IMPOSSIBLE if you have a life outside school. I really wanted this to work, however, I really really hope to see changes. Which is why i decided to write this super long review.Nancy, youre awesome, so i hope youre able to bring some changes to this school (: including hopefully the professors.

The Hospitality Program at this location is great field to study. After completion of your general education courses there will be only about 6 more classes to take which are considered your core classes. Core classes deal with your degree field. After completion of these classes a required 2 month internship will be scheduled, the instructor happily helps you find a paid internship while finishing the class so there is no break in your schedule. After completion of the 2 month requirement for the school to get your degree you can continue on if you so choose. The point of this degree field is to help you network, learn the ins and outs of hospitality, and get you on a path to succeed. I am so happy I chose this field and cant wait to start my externship. Other graduates have had nothing but success after completion of this program, and most started to work up in the company where the interned.

If no stars was an option, thats what this school would get. Tuition is extremely high and you hardly learn anything because it is a vast amount of work to be done in such little time. The things you do learn would be the things you basically taught yourself. The advisors are clueless and do not advise you of everything you need to know and be aware of. I regret taking my masters degree here. Nova Southeastern University is so much better. I currently am enrolled in a doctorate program there and am learning so much more and having such a better experience than I ever did at Keiser. If possible just go to NSU.

This institution has some great educators! But I wouldn’t recommend this institution to veterans as they charge well beyond the GI Bill allowance as well as a veteran I went to them about having felt the need to take a break, due to emotional strain of loss of a loved one and I was advised by Dean Knox to push through this semester and then take a break if the need was still there then. Needless to say, I failed that course and was punished to the Max by this institution as well as I had to pay the DOD back. This situation put me into a very deep depression and the experience as a whole took more from me than it could’ve ever gave me! I felt more like a dollar sign than a person, student, out veteran! Beware!

My name is Samantha Shinbaum and I went to Keiser University for quite sometime. It is an absolutely wonderful school filled with professors who want to see your success. Dr. Parkash and Dr. Miceli are two of the greatest professors youll have if you persue a medical degree from Keiser. Youll have to work hard for your grades but at the end of the day youll feel like you accomplished huge goals the size of mountains. At Keiser, I enjoyed school and the professors made the subjects as fun as possible. Not to mention, the great staff and Dean Franke is just a phone call away if you happen to encounter a problem of any sort. I recently switched to Hodges University since Keiser didnt offer the specific medical degree I wanted. I have had a horrible experience with Hodges financial aid (feeling like Ive been scammed for money) and most of their professors are terrible. Hodges was quick to get me signed up for classes but as soon as I had an issue, no one would answer the phone or return my calls. Most of the professors at Hodges just scroll through powerpoint slides for hours not actually teaching anything. I have been to a few colleges and nothing is like the wonderful experience of Keiser. Im seriously considering changing my major again slightly so I can reattend Keiser. If youre a hard worker and you want to become smarter, go to Keiser, you wont regret it!

To whom it may concern,My name is Christopher Starr, I’m currently in the hospitality program and I have been attending Keiser university since September of 2014. Overall I have been very dissatisfied with your school. My first class was intro to computers and half the time either the internet or the program that I paid for in the text book did not work. I understand this is a private school, but I paid and continue to pay a very high tuition to go to your school and am not getting the paid services. An example is your writing studio, Keiser University prides themselves on this studio and shows it to all incoming students. Yet when I actually used it for my composition class, I got a 70 on my paper. I don’t understand how using your services and having assistance only helps me to get a 70. Shouldn’t both the teacher and the person in the writing studio have the same standards? I mean you as a school, pride yourselves with this writing studio yet only C average work comes out of it, that doesn’t make sense.I was patient with initial classes and hoped things would be better once I started my core classes, but unfortunately that is not the case. Currently I am taking Hotel Front Desk and am upset with the unprofessionalism I am receiving from the professor. The teacher does not follow her own syllabus. Each week we cover two chapters, yet for a weekly quiz we are given 50 questions – this is a quiz yet it seems more like an exam. The first week the entire class failed the quiz, but instead of re-teaching or as any good teacher would do try to see where our misunderstandings lie, she had us spend the entire class redoing the quiz searching for the answers in the book (where was the teaching or planning involved in this lesson?). For the final project, I was asked to submit an outline of my PowerPoint presentation. Isn’t a PowerPoint basically an outline of a presentation? Considering key points are put on a slide so that the speakers then speaks to those points to engage the audience, I never would want my audience to read every word I wish to share with them on every slide, so basically it is an outline. The teacher to this class is Nicole King. In my honest opinion, I feel she is an inexperience teacher who has no class room management and a busy schedule. It seems that this class is not her priority. I should have an experience teacher, who treats this class as her first priority. You as Keiser pride yourself about professionalism, yet I have left class feeling disrespected by my teacher on multiple occasions. There have been several times Nicole made very inappropriate sarcastic remarks to not only me, but to other students. She has even called me a “Smart Ass”.Due to Ms. King’s lack of professionalism I was told I needed to meet with the Dean and had an appointment the first thing the next morning. I arrived early for the appointment, only to find he had a conflict on his schedule. Dean Knox then bragged that he was early for his appointment at Harbor Side. Again a lack of professional courtesy considering no one bothered to call and reschedule my appointment would have been nice. I’m expected to dress and act professionally and work so that I can pay for my tuition, yet my time and work is not taken into consideration when I ask to be treated as a professional. In addition, this meeting between the Dean and I, should have remained between the two of us and not have included Ms. King.

As a non-traditional student with a demanding work schedule, Keisers unique course structure has proven ideal for me. I have attended other state universities in the past, and while they all may have provided the curriculum I need to complete my degree in MIS, they rarely offered classes that could accommodate my demanding schedule.Keiser University, however, offers an ample number of online and evening classes that accommodate even my needs. What is more, courses at Keiser are completed one-by-one, every 4 weeks, meaning I can complete the course load of a full-time student whilst still working full-time.Further, the professors on the Fort Myers campus, specifically, have proven to be some of the most knowledgeable and passionate individuals with which I have ever had the pleasure of working. I have had Professors Michael Quaintance and Amanda Brunson for several classes now, and they are terrific; few professors can match the level of experience and enthusiasm they bring to the classroom.Enrolling at KU was truly one of the best decisions I could have made for my education and career.

Beware the DSM program and teachers. at least two of the teachers are not there to teach. They are there to weed out people that just dont get it. and they do this in ways that are, to my mind, completely unethical and cruel. The first teacher weeds out through the basic physics class that is required to make it into the DSM program as a whole. The second uses cruelty, bullying, verbal assault and degradation as her tool. She picks favorites in class, turns a blind eye to blatant cheating and feels no remorse at her behavior when she is openly vicious to any student she feels requires this kind of behavior by her. She stands in class on her cell phone conducting personal business, gives misleading information with regards to classes and testing and reads the power points verbatim with no actual teaching of the content to students. This behavior is further tolerated and seemingly ignored by administration. Further enforcing the feeling that students are cash cows and not consumers of knowledge, paying for a product that Keiser is providing.Dont ever expect to see any of the tests you have taken and where you might need to study further as tests are NEVER returned to the student. Whether this has to do with a previous history of someone cheating or school policy, as a student you can not be certain of where you need to study further as everyone gets the same examples for incorrect answers back.Be certain, if you are considering this school, to do your research about each individual site. No school is perfect and no student should ever be verbally assaulted by a teacher or singled out for ridicule.I have had time to rethink my first opinion of this program and the degree obtained. This program, if one can call it that, is driven by the labile emotions of several women. None of whom in my opinion should be teaching, dealing with the public or in healthcare in any regard. These women have the ability to threaten ones career choice as well as financial well being. They push through students they choose to push through and make others struggle with every step.Teacher M. is more interested in promoting her second career at the expense of class time. On the phone frequently with family, friends and others promoting her singing career and bar gigs. Teacher L. feels free to threaten ones career by making the program more difficult for some and less difficult for others, turning a blind eye to those who blatantly cheat. These so called educators will contact others to make their agendas comes to fruition. They are less interested in teaching than in making their points as to whom they choose to further in the program.Do not, and I cannot say this strongly enough, DO NOT allow anyone you know to attend this program. Specifically the Fort Myers Campus and especially male students. These women hate men.I will guess this review will never be seen by those at Keiser who have any ability to change this situation and those people have no interest in changing the status quo of what is now and will continue to happen. I have found in my dealings with these people there is not one person who will or can make any changes when it comes to these women or this program. They are making money off everyone who walks in the door, what motivation do they have.UPDATE!!!They have proven my point. The director of this program has vindictively blocked and threatened the career of a former student by refusing to sign a certificate of verification. The student completed all their scan time and proficiencies that are all documented through the school. SHAME on you Keiser. SHAME on the Keiser Administration for allowing this kind of thing to happen.

Keiser University is a rip-off-period!!! Listen people, I looked at the reviews for this school and looked the other way because I needed and wanted an education so badly. Initially, everything seems great- truth is, I had a member of admissions tell me that people were getting upset because financial aid did not tell students that they would have to come out of pocket for some of their program, and they had to leave half-way through(because were talking thousands here)--conveniently, she is no longer there. Dont get me wrong, there are people there that really value their jobs and want to help you, but they cant because their system is so screwed up. I had 3 different stories told to me by 3 different financial aid people. Needless to say, the first one I worked with is no longer there.Keiser is full of hidden-fees and lies. On top of their crazy fees they want you to pay 50 a month Keisers theory so if youre a student that is used to having financial aid pay until 6 mths after graduation, forget about it. If you have to apply for a private loan and dont have great credit, they make you apply to all the major banks before they send you to the one that works with people with less than perfect credit, which lowers your credit score anyway. When asked why I should apply to these places when I know that they wont approve me, they said its just their process- stupid process- there are other schools out there, dont choose this one unless youre really desperate and cant go anywhere else- the people that say theyre happy there- good for you, glad it worked out- everyones experience is different but ive heard more complaints than kudos for this school- and the people that did well probably have never used their financial aid before and i bet keiser sucked them dry just for an associates- if youre a transfer student you can almost guarantee you will have problems with the financial aid dept
