My son BJ has been going to here for a couple months and we absolute love it!

They are so good with the kids the instructors. I love the one-on-one and the group experience that they give these kids. I love the message that they give the kids. I dont think its all about learning karate its so much about attitude and the future and in continuing never quitting. I would suggest anyone that their child would benefit from going to Texas black belt academy.

Classes for kids are only 30 mins. All the ladies that work at the front seemed really grumpy! The instructors are all nice. The classes are full so I felt like it was hard for the teachers to pay attention to each child. My daughter got bored and so we just eventually quit going. 30 mins does not seem like enough time for them to learn anything although they do have advanced students in there. They did have pizza nights for the kids which was fun for my daughter. When we tried to cancel because we were moving they wanted proof we were moving (???) we were told when we signed up it would be a $50 fee to cancel but when we tried to cancel they said it’s either $350 or $50 when moving. We didn’t read the fine print bc we assumed the young man was telling us everything when we signed but he left that out. Anyway, everything worked out.

Our family loves TXBBA Fort Worth! Both kids are involved, one growing in confidence and the other in respect/self-control. And now I enjoy kickboxing for the exercise. It’s a great place to grow as a person, beyond just learning valuable self defense skills.

I wanted to share our most recent experience:I need to sincerely thank the Fort Worth BBA Tuesday night Kids Core teachers (Landon & Dylan) as well as the leadership crew! In fact, thanks doesnt even cover it.Unfortunately the lesson this week hit on all of my sons areas of growth and he struggled. Shia has autism, ADHD, and vestibular balance deficiency from infantile seizures. Of course, balance is a big deal for karate...he was nervous, upset, and crying. The team stepped in with support & modeled the positive self-talk that were working on. They echoed my words of you cant do it YET, but youll get there and by the end of class he was happily persevering.Yall dont even know the joy it gave me, not hearing from teachers how far behind he is or seeing him be left out & fall behind, like at school. In karate class, hes not only included- he feels valued & is learning SO MUCH beyond martial arts.

Very welcoming. Instructors have a lot of patience with students of all ages, skill, and size.

All of the teachers are AMAZING! I have 2 boys, 4 and 9, one with autism & ADHD, and they are THRIVING in the program.My 4 year old ball of energy sits still, listens attentively, says yes sir... and has started using those skills at home & at school!My 9 year olds occupational therapist said hes increased his cross-midline ability tremendously since starting 5 months ago.I cant recommend them enough. I hope we can stay in the program for years!

The instructors are very good with my son, they are patient and teach him respect and other life skills

The Bedores are great people. All the instructors here are patient and professional. My 7 year old has been attending classes here for a year now and has learned a lot. Highly recommend!

The Instructors at this school are wonderful!

We sign up during covid-19 which means only Zoom lessons for now, master Donnie deliver his GI uniform at our home so that was great gesture from him. Once classes in the Mat resumes will see how he likes it, for now instructors been great and he looks forward for his lessons every week. Recommend this place to any parent out there.

Just started as an adult doing karate or any martial art for the first time. The instructors are very good at explaining and showing what and how to do anything. They are always available to answer questions and help you with stuff you are missing. The instructors themselves are constantly training.

My 5 year old son started here a few months ago and the friendly staff/teachers have done a terrific job of educating him about martial arts and being disciplined. We were worried about his high-energy personality but the staff assured me they had seen it all and would take great care of him. The ownership/teachers have done a great job building a community oriented martial arts school and you can see how passionate they are about their school and the students. We are very blessed to be a part of this family.

This place is a total scam!! I have been trying to cancel my son’s membership since November 2019 and they refused to let us out of the contract even though we have not been to a single class since July 2019. Now that people are going through hardship due to covid 19, I called them again to cancel and they still refused. They keep taking money from my acct. I was told only the owner can cancel my membership, they took my information and said he will call me back. I’m still waiting on that call almost a month later. Do not sign up with them unless you want to continue taking their classes for life.

Best place for your child to learn respect, discipline, integrity! All of the things! Danté started only about 7 classes ago and I have already witnessed super positive behavior changes in him. Less melt downs too. Super convenient class times, great instructors that care! We couldnt ask for a better coach /mentor for him.

I came here today, since we have COVID-19 they check for the temperature, this boy had 101 fever and She didn’t let him go. I felt very dissatisfied with her judgement.

Been a student since Oct 2018 and have thoroughly enjoyed adventure. Being 66 yo, I wanted an activity to increase my flexibility and balance, TXBBA has met the challenge for me. The staff is always friendly, patient and helpful. They take you where you are and move forward, no rushing. From my experience, I can highly recommend!

They are truly organized for having so many little ones in class at the same time. They reinforce respect in a positive manner. They engage with all the students. My little one couldnt be happier. Hes learned a ton in just a couple of months.

Master Donnie does a great job with his inspiring words for the kids during every lesson. He teaches them important life lessons in a way which relates to the kids. We are very happy with choosing this place for karate lessons for both our kids, aged 8 and 4.

Our son has a summer birthday,and those of you with summer birthdays understand the challenges that go along with planning something fresh each year. TXBBA was the perfect solution this year. Indoors,plenty of room to run around and 2 wonderful instructor to organize the Nerf War,selected by my son. We selected the premium package, supplied the cake,kids and guns they took care of the rest.

If you have low income don’t do it, the contract will mess you up completely if you need to stop due to money. Just had to pay them money I needed for something else and now I’m stuck and I don’t even take him. They are great but make sure you can lose money if for any reason you had to. You never know what life brings.

I have been taking kickboxing classes for almost two years and training in jiu jitsu for the last few months at TXBBA. The instructors are excellent and their classes are great! They have created a safe and friendly environment for learning and growing for kids and adults. TXBBA is great!

We love TX Black Belt! My 5 year old started this fall (2016) and is loving karate with Little Dragons. As a parent you always worry about your childs confidence and safety. My son is autistic and that worry is increased by the horrible things in this world. Karate is teaching his self-discipline, respect for himself and others, how to communicate his own safety concerns and most importantly hes having fun with other kids. The instructors are wonderful with kids and adults of all ages. They expect respect from their students but also give it in return. Joshua has his moments of confusion or hesitation and they always talk him through it and show him how to do things. Classes are organized and tournaments help build their motivation and they want to work hard! I couldnt be more pleased with my choice in TX Black Belt!

Scams, unfaithful, all what they care about is to make you sign a contract with them. Then will show you the other face. I went there and my daughter was so happy to start a class with them, I didnt want a long contract though but Mr. Donn assured me that I can cancel and he asks me to sign one paper and he was telling me what in it since it was written in tiny hand writing, after two months my daughter wasnt feel good to continue and I went there to talk to them, and they show me there other face, so beware from what you sign and dont trust them

Two years ago my family shopped for a karate studio for our two boys to attend. After going to several other studios we came across Tx Black Belt Academy. We instantly loved it! They have great programs so the whole family can train! The instructors are awesome and have become like family. Since joining my kids have not only learned karate but also lesson to be used in everyday life. The instructors talk to the kids about being respectful, confidence, what to do if confronted by a bully, strangers, and many more useful everyday lessons. Im so glad to have found this outstanding karate school.

Worse place you can take your kid to learn some discipline. I have not seen them teaching my son anything new. Also when I was having difficulty taking my son to class. Didnt have car and just had new born I requested them to cancel him. They wouldnt let me cancel his class. I have not been taking my son for any class and they are taking money out of credit card every month. The only option he gave me is to stop payment for one month. I am always singing my son for some new activities but this was the worse experience. I would recommend not to spend your time and money here.

They are great at what they do and are super patient with the little ones. My daughter enjoys class all of the time :)

The new dojo is Amazing!!!. The family area is to die for. The instructors are Great and make every student and parent feel welcome. So glad we are part of this martial arts family.

Great school, with attentive and caring instructors. I have been here over 3 years now and am very thankful for the TX BBA family.

I’ve been trying to cancel my membership for two months. Submitted all required paperwork and they hit my account AGAIN this month. Jessica says I owe a $50 cancellation fee, yet I’ve paid 4 months and have never used it. I run a membership based business and would never treat someone this way. Shady, rude and very unprofessional. I do not recommend this to anyone as their contract basically holds you to the membership until death.

Classes were really good when we first started, then without letting us know, they completely switched things on us. Our teachers were gone and the crew from burleson had come in. We stopped going and they wont let us out of our contract even though we are strapped for money now. DO NOT sign up under them, they just want money and you will pay even if you dont use your classes. Completely ridiculous, would not recommend them to ANYONE.

Do you want your child to be respectful, disciplined, confident, and focused? My six year old daughter started at TXBBA when she was four years old and it has been the best extra curricular activity she has ever done. She also loves going and even after two years she is still excited about it. It helps her in her sports as well as focusing in the classroom. Her kindergarten teacher said she was the most confident child in the classroom. She will get up in front a room of 100+ people and introduce herself and show her peers her karate form. She has grew and matured so much since being in karate with Mr. Donnie. I would recommend TXBBA to everyone who is looking for an excellent activity for their child. Not only does karate help with the disciple and respect and other core values you want for your child but it also teaches them to protect themselves without promoting violence.

Our daughter loves TXBBA. She looks forward to every class and her confidence and attitude have changed so much. The instructors are the best with kids and really have the attention of the students. We love this place. You cant get any better than TXBBA. I can not say enough good things about TXBBA.

This place is a rip off!!! I signed my son up for youth classes before I found out I was pregnant with the $90 registration fee. He never went to ONE class. We suddenly had to relocate for my husbands job and out the area. I tried explaining that to the receptionist, she tells me that I still owe $125 MONTHLY and will also be charged a large cancelation fee on top of that. This place is a scam especially when they have other karate dojos all over the area for less money and offer more classes.Only sign up if you dont mind getting ripped off.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at TXBBA is a great experience. Professor Bedore is a kind, patient, respectful, and seasoned instructor who not only treats his students like family, but is always willing to coach and mentor at YOUR level to help you develop and grow YOUR personal game. TXBBA also offers several other black/brown belt instructors who are all humble and hungry to share as well! They sponsor in house seminars with high level BJJ/MMA athletes, partner with other academies for NJJA Tournaments, and have even qualified for affiliation with the We Defy Foundation to support training for Veterans. My MBA Professor would say, Its not too good to be true, but its too good to be free...and as with any hands-on program, you get with you pay for and are willing to put in. Having trained 3-6 times per week over the past year and participated in instructor training, not only have I lost 43lbs, 6 off my waist, and grown my game exponentially, but Ive watched my 9 year old and 5 year old twin daughters grow in confidence, assertiveness, capability, accountability, respect, and self-motivation as a result of their dedication to this academy as well. This school is worth the time and investment to become part of the family, whatever your level or goals. One of the best decisions weve made for our family.

My son is been attending Texas Black Belt Academy since he was 4-5 yrs old and it has been the best experience. Now we do it as a family. What Im trying to say is Texas Black Belt Academy is the place you want your kids or even yourself to train. I signed up for txbba for jiujitsu without even looking at any other schools and Ive never looked back. Donnie brings the experience & knowledge of a black belt professor but at the same time he is very down to earth, humble, and patient. For that I truly respect him, because it is difficult to find a teacher that wants you to ask any and all questions even if they are dumb or repetitive. We are much like family here and everyone is so encouraging... even if you have doubts about yourself youll feel like winner here everytime you leave.

I love training at TXBBA. I have fun and learn karate and Jiu Jitsu! I feel I can do anything with what I learn in class.

My family and I have found a great place to train and get in shape at TXBBA. I train in the MMA and BJJ classes and my wife and daughters train in the karate classes. It is a great place to go and learn and train with lots of great people there, and all of them are willing to help you so that you can succeed at your goals whatever they may be. Mr.Donnie is a great teacher very knowledgble and patient. I look forward to our classes every week. The staff is awesome and they are willing to work with you in whatever your needs may be. I think if you stopped by to try it out you too would get hooked like my family did.

Our kids are challenged and engaged in the classes here. Mr Jacob watches out for little ones that are struggling and gives them the encouragement they need.

TXBBA of Fort Worth is Awesome. Mr. Donnie the head instructor is amazing with the kids and is very knowledgeable in Karate, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), and Brazillian Juijitsu. I have been in martial arts for years and this place has helped me become the person who I am today. I have more confidence in myself then I have ever had. The people care about every person who steps through the door and helps them to succeed. Kids love the friendly environment and the postive reinforcement from the parents and instructors.
