I’ve come here for 2 years, and it has been amazing. My skills have progressed more than I thought they would in the last 2 years. The instructors are fantastic- they’re personable, fun, and very knowledgeable. I was nervous to jump into guitar lessons as an adult, but this place made it so easy. Hands down the best place to attend music lessons!

The staff is incredible and so amazing with kids. They know how to encourage little people and build their confidence and skills. I highly recommend this place for lessons for kids and adults. I wish everyone teaching our children were as talented as these people! This place is way better than any place I attended as a kid. Your kids will love it, and they will gain skills and experiences that will enrich their lives for years to come. My words dont do this place justice. They are the most talented group of instructors for children that Ive ever seen.

My three children have studied at Fort Worth Music Academy over the past 10 years and also have done summer camps. It has been a wonderful and fun experience for all of them. I am now taking guitar lessons there too and am grateful for the excellent teachers and for the gift of music.

We first found Fort Worth Music Academy through their summer camp program last summer. It was such a great experience for my son, especially during the Covid lockdown. As a parent, I loved getting to see the kids perform a music showcase of songs theyd learned that week including original songs! Afterwards, we signed up for guitar lessons with Rowdy, who is hands down fantastic! The student concerts are held at great venues and give the students a chance to be stars :) The owner, Eric, is very responsive and enthusiastic and you can tell he is passionate about what he does. This music school is not just about fitting kids into slots, but its about getting kids jamming and loving music!

We’ve been going here for a month - so not too long, but our experience so far has been phenomenal! My son is 5 and taking the “kidz rock” class that let’s them explore different types of instruments and is just a way to introduce them. Steven is an AMAZING instructor- he’s soooo patients, kind and can get on his level to earn his trust (which can be hard to do with my kiddo). I can’t wait to see where this musical journey will take him! If you even think your kid is into music - give Fort Worth Music Academy a try. They give you a free week or so to try it out so zero commitment 😎

When looking for a guitar class for our son, FWMA was not the first school to pop up but it was the first to return our call. Im SO glad! This school has given our son the opportunity to experience many instruments, in addition to the guitar. His confidence in learning has gone up as well as his confidence with performing since his band performs on stage at a local venue together. We are grateful for FWMA!

My son has been taking guitar lessons here for the better part of 4* years. Eric and all the staff here are passionate about helping the kids become confident in their talents, and building on what they already know to stretch and reach new heights constantly! Within the first year, my son was playing recognizable songs (Classic Rock lovers, rejoice!) and adding more complex techniques to play them better as he progressed!I like the martial art belt style they use to celebrate the kids accomplishments, and every spring they hold a showcase for the kids who want to have some fun showing off what theyve learned! The education they provide is highly valuable, and well worth the reasonable rates! Music is a key foundation and universal language that these folks know and do a great job embodying the unifying feeling that great music evokes.Throughout our time with FWMA, and especially through this pandemic, Eric has done an exceptional job managing, promoting, and operating what must be his dream job! Hes an innovator, who constantly looks for new ways to teach the kids and progress his business. He, Anna, and the FWMA team truly care and will go above and beyond to make you feel welcome!10/10 would highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn music: guitar, singing, piano, and now violin too!Ask if they have online lessons available, its something they implemented for the lockdown, but looks like they may continue! (*Not sure, so ask)

My 10 year old son has been taking lessons here for about a year and a half. We love the high quality of instruction from very personable teachers, the passion of the owner and instructors, and especially how fast our son progresses-but he loves it because it is so fun and easy to understand and he feels motivated every time he attends class, whether in person or virtually. Can’t recommend this music school highly enough!

My little boy started playing guitar here with Eric at only 5 YEARS OLD!! Their youngest guitar student ever! Other places turned him down and said he was too young. He will be 12 years old this September and has never stopped playing! He is an amazing guitar player!!! Thanks to Eric and many of his other teachers through the years, he continues to be challenged and steadily progress. Going to his lessons each week is literally his highlight...even 6 years later😉 Would recommend this place to anyone!

Signing my daughter up for guitar lessons at Ridglea School of Music has been the best experience ever! My daughter who was 10 at that time had only had a guitar in her hands for about 2 months and me being skeptical that she really wanted to learn to play reluctantly signed her up anyways! She has know been playing 2 years and 6 months and is 13!! Id say she was pretty serious, but not without the help of the amazing instructors at Ridglea School Of Music. Eric who was her only instructor until recently, was/is so patient with her, he cares about his students and their success. He has always motivated and encouraged her somewhat CHALLENGING endeavors. During lessons there is never dull moment, there is lots of energy and the kids are having fun! Did i mention she takes group lessons...personally i feel group lessons have been the most beneficial part of her taking guitar lessons! It has forced my daughter to challenge herself more, practice harder and not give up!!! Since beginning lessons in March of 2013, she has bought 3 more electric guitars and has started learning to play the drums, which is also taught at Ridglea School Of Music! The new guitar instructor Pedro brings a different style, technique and energy to the learning experience and she just LOVES her drum instructor Wes. I would definitely recommend this music school to anyone, kids and adults both! They offer lessons for everything just about...guitar, piano, voice, violin, drums, ukulele...I think they pretty much have you covered!!

We love Ridglea School of Music! My son started here about 5 months ago and Ive been so impressed with his progress. Definitely happy I sent my son here instead of other places we looked.

There are several very competent instructors who will improve your playing. They can teach most styles and the owner, Eric, has a special class for teaching classical guitar. He studied under Parkening so he knows what hes doing. He also has a close friendship with serious shredders like Greg Howe, so whether you want the classic rock or classics, these guys can help you. They put in enough theory to be helpful and in so doing they build some of the skills we all know we need but are too busy noodling to learn. They tie them to real world playing and once those connections are made in your head its only a matter if time before it translates to your fingers. They stress proper technique and are adept at fixing bad habits. The school helps the electric guitarist best unless you embark on a deep dive into the classics with Eric. Those guys seem to really love what they do in that class though, despite the obvious challenges!I would say come and give this team a try. They have lots of types of classes, skill levels, age groups and teachers, so it might take a few weeks, but they will find the best place for you. Ive seen ten year old maestros and 60 year old novices, so they really can take everybody. But be prepared to be challenged, sometimes frustrated, and ready to put the time and effort into your playing. They will make you better if you can do those things.

I was skeptical about buying my 8 year old a guitar since he has never demonstrated a long term interest in anything. After over a month now, my trepidation is gone. Jon has connected with him and given him the motivation and encouragement I trust will take him far in life. I am very happy with the choice to send him to FWGA!

Our son took electric guitar lessons for several years before going off to college. We were both very pleased by the quality of teaching, but we believe it was an even better experience because Mr. Eric is a great musician, teacher, and a great person. His students are his top priority. He is an excellent role model for young men in so many ways! Carol and David Wagner

My son loves lessons at Fort Worth Guitar Academy, and had a blast at rock band camp this summer. The teachers are fantastic, and the group lesson format is perfect for him-- he has more fun working with other kids. This school is great...Eric owns this place and is totally accessible. he asks questions of the parents and students alike. Amanda, is a great help also and responds quickly to all concerns or questions. I could go on and on about my daughters instructor but there arent enough words to describe how great he was for my daughter. my proudest moment was that my daughter had been attending class not quite 2 months when at this time she taught herself happy birthday song and played for her grandmother at her 70th birthday celebration....thanks Ridglea

I took lessons at the Fort Worth Guitar Academy for almost a year before a change in jobs made it too difficult to maintain a schedule. The amount that I learned in that time was incredible. I have taken lessons on and off for the last decade and have tried to teach myself off of the internet as well, all to no success. I had decided that I would try it one last time and I am very glad that I did. The well rounded approach that Eric takes to teaching guitar will not only have you playing the guitar, but understanding it, allowing you to create your own musical voice of expression. I cannot recommend these guys enough, if you are wanting lessons for yourself or your child, you will not find a better place than this. I will miss taking lessons, and I hope them all of the best in the future as they continue to grow.

F you’re looking for serious results and a no-nonsense approach to learning an instrument, I highly recommend The Ridglea School of Music.Taking music lessons as an adult can be intimidating. You don’t really know how your secret inner-desire to be a rock star will be taken by those you share it with. Usually people just smile and nod. The only thing that’s a sure thing, is that you’ll find someone who will take your money and tell you “good job.” Why bother, right? It’s so much easier to just sit at home and play the same tabs over and over again and pat yourself on the back. From my first lesson with my teacher Eric, he took my dreams of starting a band and showed me how to make them happen. Eric met me where I was and gently let me know what I needed to work on. I never felt intimidated or embarrassed. I wanted results and Eric showed me how I could achieve them the right way.Make no mistake, taking lessons in itself isn’t going to make you a monster musician. There are no shortcuts to getting the fundamentals under your belt. The Ridglea School of Music isn’t just going to award you a black belt, when you’re really a yellow belt… just to take your money. With Eric, I learned the essentials that really matter. He took the things I was trying to teach myself through webites (and the things I didnt know I needed) and showed me the right way to learn them. I knew that my hours of practice were actually producing results that would make my dream happen. It was truly refreshing to see my fingers doing things on my guitar that I’d never seen them do before. If you want to actually learn to play your instrument, I recommend, from personal experience as rock-star-hopeful, The Ridglea School of Music!
