Great instruction and great people!

I have been practicing at the academy for over a year, but had to take some time off due to the virus (I will be nice). I went in after about two months off and it felt like I didnt miss a beat. You will be worked, bit if you stick with it you will pick up a good skill and get some exercise in to boot. Highly recommended.

Clean and friendly facility , world class instructors and classes divided by age and levels. Great place for beginners and others who already had experience.Personally I know Prof Osvaldo Queixinho and he is a very technical athlete and dedicated professor.I highly recommend this academy and a guarantee that you will have a good experience there!

Best place in town. The academy is great! Big place and was newly remodeled! Looks beautiful!The new head instructor, Osvaldo Queixinho is super nice and is multiple time World Champion. They have several classes a day from beginners to advance. I highly recommend this place for all levels!!

So happy I started training at Phoenix Jiu Jitsu! Very beginner friendly and welcoming place and with a very accommodating class schedule. Professor Quiexinho and all of the coaches are very patient and knowledgeable. I look forward to every one of my classes there.

Life changing experience. I am about 8 months into training at Phoenix BJJ. During this time the gym has been lucky enough to have Professor Osvaldo Queixinho become the lead instructor at the gym. The atmosphere, amount of classes, and the family that is forged here is incredible. If you are even contemplating starting a martial art, please swing in and catch the vibe, youll be family in no time!

Queixinho and the crew at Ares Jiu Jitsu in Goodyear are amazing. The amount of talent and knowledge in that academy is over the top. If you’re looking for competition jiu jitsu or a place to grow- you can stop looking, you found it. The space is huge, the facility is really accommodating and it has everything you need.

Professor Quiexinho came to our school for a seminar and showed some phenomenal techniques. On top of that he rolled with everyone who asked him. Amazing person and a great instructor!!

I checked out a lot of gyms before I chose to train here its not close to my home at least a thirty minute drive to train , I chose this place because the level of integrity and professionalism I received from the top down. Both Kevin and Warren the owners are extremely involved in both your training and you as a person never to busy to talk and never not approachable, the instructors are top notch and are never to busy or caught up to help me or anyone else we train with to become better practitioners of the art all of the coaches are genuinely good people on and off the mats. Not to mention they gave me a week free to fall in love with the sport and once I chose to train with them the pricing was extremely reasonable. Unless I was forced to move out of state for work Id never choose to train at another gym. Thanks to all of you. !

This is an awesome environment for the person looking to get into shape or for the serious competitor.They have a top notch kids program that is second to none.The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and willing to share the knowledge.

Dropped in while I was visiting family nearby. No big egos, everyone was inviting, and folks were there to train. Had a great time!

Phx BJJ is my mat space! I couldnt roll in a predominately male gym if I didnt feel comfortable and respect from my training partners. All our coaches have their own flavor and strengths they bring to class with Professor Queixinho setting the pace. The renovations have been great improvements to the gym. Always look forward to training!

Very good School. The staff and coaches are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. My son is 6 and the coaches work very well with the kids. I highly recommend and support this school.

I’m technically handicapped because I have Multiple Sclerosis, but these coaches have treated me as well as anyone else, they have accommodated any limitations I’ve had. These people are top-notch and very encouraging!

Its unfortunate that I am writing this but hopefully this review will not only help potential customers but the Academy as a whole. The Mini Monsters program was not design or developed well. Instead of 4 classes a week their should be two 2 day classes that way there is not a big cluster of small children running around not really being taught the value and heritage of any mixed martial arts. During that program there should be short exercises to make the 30 min sessions that way the childrens attention is not lost. Another suggestion would not to use a financial company who is rude in the customer service business. Last thing although it is out of your hands are the people there are rude. Someone brushed by my daughter knocked her over and kept going like nothing happened and beware of your seats because people will steal them in a heart beat and not care.

Went wanting to enroll my son and myself on 8/23/17 at 3:45pm. There was no one at the counter which is fine, but the instructor didnt acknowledge me and left me standing and reading literature for 15 mins before I just walked out. I see good reviews so dont understand. This review is only on 1st service at the door. So no comment on instructors or quality of training.

This gym went downhill so bad. All the real coaches left and the owner put a 11 year old in charge to teach. Horrible.

My son and I have been training at PHX BJJ / MMA for a couple years now. I have seen a big differents in my son’s attitude, confindence, & disicpline. We love the staff & people that attend the gym. It’s our second home. I recommend anyone to try this place. You will be happy you did.

Was a member here for awhile until I had to move out of state. Really enjoyed the classes and the pricing was by far the cheapest I had found for very good instruction.

My kids and Family were very Happy here but there are so Many changes now . They have a 12 year old as a coach for kids! I would not spend my money here !
