Sensei Ed, owner and head instructor, offers adults, teens and children a safe and very convenient place to learn self-defense & discipline, while getting a great cardio workout. Over the past 10 years not only have I been a student but also my daughter and many of our family friends have enrolled their kids. My kids first started their martial arts journey with Sensei Ed. He made it fun and enjoyable for them so that they wanted train. It was a good mix of hard training, real life self defense and fun. Cost is very affordable and training is excellent.

My son has been coming to this dojo for 5 yrs now. Sensei Ed and the rest of the Sensei has a lot of patience to teach kids, you can tell they all love kids. Price is very reasonable for 3 day a week session.

I brought my Son here in Oct 2011. I then joined classes for adults in Dec 2011. My Son and I are still training here and it is Feb 2020. Through the years I have visited other dojos and I have not found a system as complete and practical as the Sei Shindo Kai system. The pricing is very competitive and I have not found any other system that actually teaches you how to defend yourself against attackers like this one. Sensei Ed Torres is an extremely humble man who loves the Martial Arts Lifestyle and he is great with kids. He has always been very gracious to myself, my Son, and many others that walk through the doors of the Dojo. Through the years I have seen many come, go, come-back, and I have not yet heard anyone say they could find a better self-defense and fighting lineage such as Sei Shindo Kai. Respect, Discipline, Karate, Boxing, Kick-boxing, Women’s Self-Defense, Grappling, Weapons, and character are all taught very well here.

Sensei Ed and his assistant instructors trained me in Muay Thai before I had my first child. Unfortunately I had to quit to take care of my family. Now my son is 5 years old and I returned to the dojo to have my son training in karate, kickboxing, weaponry and grappling! I can say that I am honored and proud to have my son train with sensei Ed and his assistant instructors. I’ve been seeing improvement with his behavior as well as motivation with him in learning more about martial arts. One of his idols is my idol, Bruce Lee. He hopes to become the next Bruce Lee or at least reach his status in life. SSK martial arts will push him towards it. Sensei Ed is also great with kids! Very respectful to the kids and also the parents! But makes sure the kids are not out of life in class. Giving them structure and making sure they listen in class. He always asks them if they’re tired to go and take a break if they feel if they can’t keep up and have them sit for a bit or do some pad work to keep them moving. I can’t wait for my daughter to turn 5 so I can put her in as well! ;)

My son has been with Shihan Ed for almost 5 months and he is by far the best martial arts instructor. His dedication, knowledge, and patience are second to none. Our son is 4 years old; Shihan Ed and the rest of his instructors are able to connect with him during each session at the dojo. Our son’s self-confidence has grown tremendously. Sensei Lou has developed a special bond with my son during kickboxing. While at 4 years old it is difficult to have proper technique, our son thoroughly enjoys training with Sensei Lou. Sensei Lou is extremely patient and you can see that he cares about his students! I recently referred my neighbor to Shihan Ed as my neighbor entered into a lengthy contract with another instructor and is paying $248.00 per month for 2 children to attend class 1day a week. Shihan Ed is NOT looking to rip you off and take your money. Shihan Ed truly cares about his students and treats each student as an extended member of his family. The lessons learned in the dojo will last your child a lifetime!

Sensei Edgar is amazing I was his first student and he took me under his wing. I am blessed to even have met let alone train with sensei. He was patient with me and my lack of coordination. He saw something in me and took a chance. Sensei focused on training me in the ways of Muay Thai!! I learned so much from sensei and will never forget the skills he gave me. He is such a great instructor and cares deeply for all his students!! Some of the best times I have had were training with Sensei. He treated me and my family like family. I had been training and learning Muay Thai from Master Ed for 5 years. He is extremely knowledgeable and eager to teach, he has lots of experience, knowledge, patience and kindness and he comes from a very respectable lineage of martial arts, i i truly recommend him for anyone that wants to learn very practical and effective ways of self defense or to learn the sport and discipline of kickboxing orif you have children that wabt to learn Karate as well. Master Ed is also very knowledgeable in jiu jitsu as well, i highly recommend SSK Martial arts!

This dojo is home to some of the most humble and talented instructors I have ever had the pleasure of training with. If you plan on training martial arts I would recommend starting here as the dojo is one of respect and humility which is harder and harder to find in a world of rising MMA gyms and dojos.
