Ive been training with Anibal Lobo since 2008. Prior to that for five years I studied submission wrestling at a local MMA school. The former was a house of injury, it left me with hurt ribs and a knee surgery. Not only that but the moves were nearly impossible to apply to a bigger opponent. (Im average at 155lbs) Anibal completely changed the game from day one showing me a relaxed method that worked. The best part is training ever since has been a healthy endeavor. I actually own my own academy in Tigard now called River City Warriors and Im proud to say all our Gracie Jiu Jitsu comes from Professor Lobo. You might be surprised to know that several school owners seek out and train with Anibal on a regular basis. If you can I suggest you train with him directly and get the most out of your investment. Anibal lobo jiu jitsu is pure old school self defense oriented jiu jitsu. After leaving Arizona and team Gustavo Dantas, a very sport jiu jitsu oriented gym I settled in Gresham with Anibal because of his basic and very effective jiu jitsu style. Classes here are filled with solid technique, drilling and rolling. It is the right place for me with plenty of talented purple belts to chase. oss
