Amazing school! It is like no other. They spend over half the day outside and even eat lunch outside. They play, have fun, and get messy! Theyve recently expanded with a new building and added kindergarten. What a wonderful home away from home!We actually started our child at a different school this past fall (for personal convenience reasons) and decided we liked Blossom so much better that we pulled her out and moved her back to Blossom Heights. Shes 4 and has been there since 20mo. I was a former Montessori teacher, but I knew I didnt want that for my toddler because of the lack of creative exploration. I chose Blossom because of the play based focus, extended outdoor time, and environmental awareness. They are very respectful of the children and use deliberate language to enforce the philosophies they believe in.

I cant even describe the magic that is Blossom Heights. My shy toddler blossomed into an independent, imaginative, and well spoken child seemingly overnight- potty training, hand washing, self-dressing, even things as simple as putting her own shoes on, I struggled with those things until she started here. Even though this is a play based school where children are encouraged to explore what interests them, there is enough routine and structure that these important life skills (waiting in line, taking turns, using words to explain feelings, following instructions) are very effectively absorbed by the children.Even though each age range has their own specific lead teachers, every member of the faculty knows and interacts with every child that attends. Linda (the director) doesnt just show up occasionally to shake hands. She is there every single day, covering for teachers while they take their breaks, sitting down and reading books with the kids, caring for the many gorgeous plants and fruit trees that surround the school (one of my daughters favorite days was when they picked lemons from the tree and experimented with all the different ways they could eat them!). She is so passionate about the school and every child under its roof. Ms. Ana has a special gift for working with young children and made the transition of my daughters first daycare experience easy and enjoyable. I can honestly say theres not a single member of faculty I wouldnt describe as excellent.Yes, there is a wait list. Thats okay- get on it. I waited it out and it was SO worth it in the end. We will always remember the time our daughter spent at the magical Blossom Heights.

Blossom Heights is definitely a hidden gem for early childhood education in Houston! As a public elementary school teacher, there is no where else I would want my own children to start their school years. My children are learning how to be self sufficient, how to interact with peers and adults, and how to be guides of their own learning. It feels like a second home for our whole family and my children have grown more than I could have imagined.

Do yourself and your little one a favor and pay a visit to Blossom Heights. The school is well built with a very cozy feeling and the grounds are amazing. Everywhere you look there is a different fruit, vegetable, or herb growing. The children here have a hand in every aspect of nature and they all adore the school pets. You wont regret it!

This place is amazing! My kiddo wouldnt be in preschool if I hadnt found Blossom Heights. It is like no other place in Houston! Kids spend so much time outside, learning through play, getting dirty and just getting to be kids. They let the childrens interests, imagination and ideas provide a guide for classroom exploration and activities. I cant say enough how much I love Blossom Heights!

So glad we found this gem!! My 4 year old thrives here. The mixed age groups are a bonus, & they develop social skills, while learning independence and exploring their interests. The teachers really go out of their way to get to know each kid & find out what they are interested in. I love how my son talks at home about *his* class & takes such ownership in it. The teachers talk to the kids in a deliberate way, helping them work through any conflicts that arise. Students’ opinions are valued (ex: they will take a class vote on which book to read, or decide as a group on their class rules, etc...). So many sensory activities everywhere, and I LOVE how they rotate the classroom (& outside) activities regularly, so every time we come to school it’s exciting to see what is there. The children do different sign-in activities each day to keep them writing/developing motor skills...ex: cutting out the letters of their name from magazines & pasting on paper; counting things on a certain wall & writing that #, writing their last name, etc.... They learn so much, and have fun while doing it! So grateful for this school!!

Our daughter has been in BH for a year now. She is happy about getting to school. Blossom Heights provides kids with much needed playing with a purpose, which allows her to learn while playing.

The best daycare in Houston! They were featured in November 2014 issue of Houstonia!! Love the staff and you can tell they really care about your child and helping them reach their full potential. My daughter has SOOO much fun learning new things here; I cant get her to STOP talking about it on the way home. If your child is more of a visual learner, then this is definitely the perfect place for you. I am so thankful I found this place :)
