This is a very nice preschool, which has recently changed from a daycare to a really high quality Montessori school with a STEAM curriculum. The teachers are very good and trained; they have all the real Montessori furniture and manipulatives. Lots of outdoor green space and very clean! Also they changed the menus recently and its probably the healthiest food of any preschool.

I’ve had (and still have) such a great experience with Excel. Both of my kids have gone through the infant room and each day I’ve arrived to see smiles on their faces. My 2 yr old has thrived and my smaller one gets so much attention and care in the infant room. The entire staff has been supportive through my kid’s developmental stages and they’ve provided very helpful suggestions as they age. I love that the enrollment size is small because it really does make it feel like a family. Definitely recommend!

Great daycare !!!!This is the best daycare in the Galleria area with a clean facility and huge playground. Family owned for 30 years and they are always open. If you have to get to work early and stay late like I do, then this place is for you. Tony (the owner) is super friendly and is always willing to help my children or the staff with any accommodations I need. Thanks guys and keep up the great work.

We never had an issue with our son. Miss rosa and miss liz were so sweet and wonderful with my son. We were sad to leave but we ended up moving away otherwise my son would still be going there.

Up until a week ago my review was 5 stars. Last week an incident happened due to lack of proper supervision and the managements attitude about the incident made me change my review and I pulled my son out of this daycare immediately. My son is almost 4. He was in the 3s class and they combine 3s and 4s after a certain time and if the teacher doesnt come for one of the classes. The 4s have a special needs 12+ year old boy. This boy choked my son. I was not even told about it until the next day and only by his actual teacher (who was told by the teacher that was supervising the day before). Everybody else is denying it. At first, they changed it to the 12+ year old pushed my son and now they are saying he was just on the ground crying with the 12 year old standing over him. Right after this incident, my son did something he has not seen at home and has never done before, he pretended to choke me. I do not believe in this big of a coincidence. There are too many holes and inconsistencies in their story. I will be reporting them to the authorities. In the meantime, I pulled my son from this daycare. Who knows what else has happened that they hid from me or other parents. They admit that this kid is always mean to kids, yet they continue to put him with 3 & 4 year olds and claim they are not doing anything to harm the kids.Just to be fair, he has had excellent teacher/caregivers, Ms. Larentis (2s) and Ms. Debra (3s). But the managements nonchalant attitude about this incident and not reporting this incident properly and on time made me think what else has happened that I have no idea about. I would strongly recommend finding a different daycare.

Went their with my wife and daughter for a tour in Dec 2017 and I was in shock!! this place should be shut down. when I walked in 4-5 toddlers were placed in chairs with no activities and each baby had an iPad in front of him and the whole group were in deep crying session, red eyes and teary cheeks. while talking to the teacher who seemed clueless clumsy millennium the kitchen staff brought the launch which was so unhealthy and gave it to the 1-2 years old toddlers to eat it by themselves!! and while talking to the this young lady one of the toddlers erupted crying because he burned his mouth with the melted cheese!!!!!! I was about to slap the lady and the staff. till today I still remember the cry of that baby and feel angry of how bad people can be. Please don’t send your kids to this place because their life will be in real danger because the staff don’t have any idea about child care

I highly recommend Excel Academy. They really have a great program in set for children. For the summer of 2016, I lost my babysitter so suddenly and had to find a daycare within days. I searched 3 daycares in the Richmond area and was so worried that none of them were up to par. Due to staff, space, activities, price, etc. When I came into Excel Academy and took a tour with mr.Tony (great guy) I was really impressed with the whole place from the space, to the playground to the daily activities they have in place for our children. I made the decision, and was so relieved with the results.Tony and Mizzy have a great program, and really do care for the safety of your child. My son looked forward to going to daycare every day. From the ice cream trucks, splash day, they even had a petting zoo one month and a magician the following month.Which is more than they had to do. As a parent we want our children to be in a fun yet safe environment and Excel Academy did that every day. It really gave me peace of mind while I worked and did daily routines in life.My son is in school now, but if Im in need of a great provider I will definitely go back and have that peace of mind that we need as we leave our children in the care of others.
