I really wanted to wait to post this review until my son was established in his new school to make sure my wife and I werent crazy and Goddard is as bad as we thought. I really encourage you to read my other reviews as well. I dont really do bad reviews. This one is important to me because this is about our kids and I hope this helps folks decide on who you want to care for them.My son started going to Goddard when he was two years old. He really did good that first year, the teachers were incredible and he was generally quite happy with school. However when he turned three and went to his new class he had nothing but problems. The main teacher was incredibly unprofessional. Whenever my son had a hard day she would guilt my wife and I telling us other parents were complaining about our kid. She never really could elaborate on his issues and consistently just laid out guilt on us. We felt terrible. We set up a parent teacher conference. When we went in, my sons teacher wasnt there which we felt was odd, we met with one of the administrators. She told us she observed my son and that he was completely normal and to not worry about anything. We were at first relieved but then the classroom teacher was doubling down and letting us know our kid was a problem in the class. She would tell us they were only two teachers and that my son required too much attention. We felt there was a huge disconnect between the teachers and the administrators based on what they were telling us. Also the administrators changed every couple of months. After a little while a different administrator called us in and kicked our son out of school. We felt terrible. For some time my son stayed home with us and he really flourished. His personality grew and he did great. We ended up getting him into a new school and the difference is night and day. I mean it. He hated going to Goddard and loves his new school. It really brings me to tears thinking about what a terrible school Goddard is and how long it took us to figure it out. How we thought something was wrong with our son.Goddard will no doubt reply with the same spmn reply they reply to every poor review. I will let you know I did attempt to email them to let them know how disappointed we were with our experience. We got no reply. No call. Nothing. If they do not like your child, eventually an admin will come in and kick them out.If you want more information please send me a message and I will answer any questions you may have.

Finding quality childcare in The Heights/Garden Oaks/Oak Forest is not an easy task. Waiting lists exist even before children are born! We have been fortunate to be a part of the Goddard School Heights since its inception. Prior to the building being completed, the Goddard staff had several informational sessions to get to know the Goddard System as well as the school management. We felt the owner, Christi, was very well versed in what the Goddard system had to offer. We felt very comfortable securing a space for our son prior to the school’s opening. Our son started part-time when the school opened, and soon switched to full time because we loved it so much. Every single teacher seems to genuinely love our son and their career at the school. We have been happy with the school’s security and safety protocols (secured perimeter, hand-scan entry, regular fire and safety drills, etc). The staff also ensured our son was safe, entertained, and well-cared for during a recent health event. Best of all, our son is happy and thriving. We could not be happier to be a part of the Goddard Family.

We had to wait a long time to get into the school, but after being here for 1.5 months, we like it more than the two previous early childhood schools/daycares we briefly attended. Thats a lot to say as both of those were also considered good places to send your child. Were fortunate to be here. The school is organized, has very good safety, security, and health processes and policies, and has done a very good job taking care of our child. Dont worry, if that ever changes, rest assured that Ill update my review.

We put our name on the waiting list with fingers crossed that we would get in. Im so glad that we were actually able to get our daughter into the Goddard School. They have been absolutely amazing with her. Every teacher and staff member I have met there is so sweet and helpful. It is so hard as a first time parent trusting other people with your child but I feel so comfortable with everyone there. Also a huge plus is that they offer so many activities each month like Parents Night Out, Splash Day, Picture Day, Donuts with Dad, etc. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good daycare option!

Being the only high end day care in the area the owners and management are so arrogant and non responsive because parents had no choice. Now there is Primrose school so maybe they will start acting a bit more humble and caring.

My granddaughter has been at The Goddard School for about 2 months. She loves her teachers and is learning so much from them! Some days when I pick her up she wants me to come in and sit down so she can stay longer. I am so happy she is at the school because I know she will be prepared academically and socially for kindergarten.

We love the Goddard School in the Heights! The teachers are very warm and loving, and the curriculum is interesting and fun. They send photos on an app so I can see that my kids are well cared for and happy during the day. My older daughter was very well prepared for school when she left. My baby is still there and has great bonds with her teachers.

We love this school! The teachers and staff are extremely caring and great with our kids. I love how clean the school is and the technology they use (photos and updates throughout the day on the app, fingerprint scan to get in the door, etc.). Would highly recommend to anyone.

We have had many wonderful experiences while attending 3 different Goddard Schools. At the Heights location, our 2 children have thrived and formed many fantastic relationships with other children as well as their teachers. The curriculum has kept our children engaged and learning every day.

The Goddard School in the Heights has made a big difference in our lives in a short time. I expected the first day of school to be tough for our toddlers, but on Day One, they did not want to leave they had such a great time. My mommy heart has been comforted to know they are in good hands with loving, caring and patient teachers who make learning fun. In a few short weeks, my kiddos development has already sped up. They are doing and saying things earlier than I ever expected, and I have no doubt they are in the best place. I feel grateful to have such a special group of people looking after our family. Thanks, Goddard School, for having a heart for our children and for us parents who treasure them so much!

I absolutely love this school! The staff is friendly and welcoming. Everyone at the school greets my daughter by name, every single day. They always keep me in the loop about everything she does during the day. They even contact me when there has been the littlest of incidents. I love her teachers too! They are so helpful and very cooperative with trying to get her on board with communication skills and potty training. My daughter struggled with speech cause she’s bilingual. I have seen a drastic change in my daughters speech since I started her in the school. I’m so greateful for all their help. I highly recommend the goddard school!

Absoloutly the best school EVER! My son has been attending Goddard for almost a year now. Everyone at the school is so caring and loving towards the children. The teachers specially. I have my unborn child on the waitlist now and we look forward to attending as soon as they have availability. Thanks Goddard for always being so attentive to my kid. Keep up the great work!!

I’ve been on the wait list since Feb 2017 (over 13 months now) for newborn care starting in July 2018. We got on the waitlist before we were pregnant. They still say the wait will be potentially to Jan 2019 due to sibling acceptances and their staff needing spots for their own children. We were not told this upfront. An almost 2 year wait....Don’t waste your $150 deposit to get on waitlist. It’s a sham.———————Update as of Sept 2018- we have now been on the wait list for 19 months for newborn care.

Initially We were very impressed with the Goddard School, particularly the reputation of the institution and the curriculum is what made us settle here for our son.Unfortunately as time progressed we began to see a different side of the school.Such as a high turnover of the staff, a staff that were not professional at all.But most importantly we felt a lack of compassion, patience and the inability of being culturally sensitive. After a short tenure we were finally told that due to our sons cultural differences (he speaks two languages) that perhaps the institution is not the best place for him!We were hurt, disappointed and offended so immediately we removed our son from the school.Based on our personal experiences we would not be inclined to recommend the Goddard School.

We currently have two children enrolled at Goddard Heights and will soon have three! We are so thankful and appreciative for all the Goddard School provides! The staff knows our children by name (even our son who isnt attending yet); The teachers genuinely care for their wellbeing; There is always something cool going on that my kids are excited about; They come home every day with something new to share that they learned at school (which is amazing they can know so much at such a young age); Soccer Shots comes to the school weekly to teach soccer skills (additional $); They provide catered lunches (additional $ but worth it.. the meals are awesome) and provide snacks! I could go on and on with what we love about them but the point is it is such a relief to know my children are in good hands with people who truly care of them and fill their days with excitement! We couldnt be happier!!!!

I wont recommend Goddard due to the fact that make the parents pay for getting on the wait list. In fact we signed up in August of 2016 (before our baby was born) and were told we would get into the infant room by September 2017. However, they only have 8 spots for infants and when we signed up they wont tell us, how many people were in front of us back in August 2016. We checked our status on April 2017 and found out there were 94 people ahead of us! Thus, Goddard played us for fools and took our $150 for free. Im writing this review for new parents that are considering signing up for Goddard not to do so and waste your money on the wait list. Due to the fact that there wait is really long for newborns and they will not tell you that.

We have had our daughter at Goddard for a year and have loved it since the beginning. They are great with communication and have an outstanding curriculum. Since they use Tadpoles, we get a daily report each day about what they have done and everyday get at least one (but usually more) picture of her involved in an activity. They are responsive by email when I have questions and always available to parents onsite. We are so happy here that we moved to Spring Branch and still bring our little one here because we havent found anything remotely close to what we have with Goddard. Our daughter is thriving, which is ultimately the most important thing for us.For reference, our daughter is now 3 1/2, she started in the Get Set room (2s) and is now in the Pre-K room for 3s. They offer Soccer Shots also, which is a plus to have an activity onsite where she is able to participate with her friends from school (and we dont have to pick up/drop off for another activity).
