The experience you get from Goddard is unlike any other childcare center when I started my search. From the beginning they emailed you a follow up email with the information needed to make a decision. They shared information without trying to pressure you to enroll. Now that my kids are here they come home happy and say how much they love their school. My kids happiness and safety are my biggest priorities but we have gotten so much more. My preschooler is beginning to know the letter sounds and can identify the beginning sounds in words. He is eager to attend school and comes home excited to tell me about his day. My toddler was only familiar with in home care. I thought it would be a hard transition but he has enjoyed the school and is eager to attend. I am so happy and this has been a perfect fit for my family.

They are quick to respond back to messages. I love that we can have a open communication with the teacher and the management team. My child loves it there and would recommend this place for a reliable and good quality care you are looking for.

My 5 year old daughter has been at Goddard Huntersville for just a little over a year now. Soon, after she started, the school ownership changed hands and we cannot say nicer things about the current owners. Our daughter is introverted and it takes her awhile to warm up to new people but since starting this school she is so happy. There are no complaints on school mornings and she always has a good day! We had a wonderful teacher her first year for her 4 yr old class. Now, in Pre-K we are also thrilled with her teacher. They are experienced and professional. We receive picture updates all day with a daily report to let us know what she ate, what they learned and if she napped. Addy loves going every day! She is happy and learning so much.The new owner is responsive and kind. Even though we aren’t able to go in to the classrooms because of Covid she meets the parents outside at drop off and pick up most days. She is always friendly and communicative. She really cares for our kids. She knows them all by name and they love her right back.It has been a challenging year for child care. Goddard Huntersville has exceeded our expectations in keeping our child safe and happy throughout all of the change and uncertainty. If you are looking for childcare/ pre k please go meet with Ms Tarika and her staff. You will not be disappointed. It’s a wonderful place with a lot of love inside.

We have had both of our children at Goddard in Huntersville for the past 4 and a half years - most recently just my 2 year old as my older son is now in 1st grade. The previous owner ran the school generally well. The school was sold a year ago and we have noticed a significant change.Because of COVID, we have not been allowed inside the school building for a year and a half - which I 100% understand and support to limit exposure. However, other methods to help prevent the spread of COVID have been lacking. While staff are required to wear masks, every day I dropped off/picked up, at least one of the (visible) teachers had their mask below their nose. They still combine classrooms when enrollment on a particular day is low, and because of a general teacher shortage they have lots of substitute teachers in and out of the school. This obviously leads to more intermingling and higher risk of spread. They also either appear to not understand the COVID guidelines and/or are dishonest with parents when cases occur.Communication is terrible. They use the Tadpoles app, but it seems like very few teachers actually use it appropriately as more than half the time daily reports are missing most or all relevant info. I didn’t even know who my son’s teacher was for the last several months - I’m not even sure he had a permanent one at all. It took over a week, multiple emails, and several voicemails to get answers to questions, which is unacceptable.The school’s one redeeming factor over the last year has been the staff, particularly the Director, Assistant Director and a couple of teachers my older son had, but both the Director and Asst Director have now left and I no longer have confidence that this is a safe and supportive environment for my son.My son used to walk happily into school every morning (even when I was no longer allowed to walk him into his classroom) with the occasional exception (we all have off days!), but since the former Director left in July he has screamed and clung to me every other day, not wanting to go inside.It’s really disappointing, because we’ve been a part of the Goddard family since my oldest was very young (both here and at a school in a different state), but we will no longer be attending for all of these reasons. I cannot recommend anyone sending their child here.

The new owner is very present, communicates well with parents, and is retroactive in resolving issues.

Great location, great teachers, daily communication format and curriculum. Staff turnover rate is high, seems to be a new teacher in childs room each month. Makes me wonder whos in and out taking care of my child.

The best school in the area, hands down. It is a great place to bring your child for a positive, caring learning experience. The owners are fantastic and actively involved, the manager is amazing and incredibly positive and the teachers care about each child. The school is always looking to add more programs, keep the kids excited and offer parents information to help support each age group. I highly recommend this school!

I have 3 children at the Goddard School of Huntersville and would highly recommend it! My two oldest have been there since infancy and they have always enjoyed going to school and I know they are learning so much from caring teachers. My youngest is just starting there but I know he’s thriving and being loved on by so many teachers.

Our girls have been going to Goddard for 3+ years and we have been nothing but impressed with the school, teachers and most importantly what our girls are learning. My oldest is already spelling words in pre-k and I am confident they will both be highly prepared for Kindergarten! Huge emphasis on safety and security in the school, constant communication provided, parent and teacher conferences so you know exactly what is being taught and how your child is developing, healthy snacks and we receive daily updates and pictures. Very happy and would highly recommend!

My 5 year old son has been attending Goddard for almost a year. He has attended one other school prior to Goddard and what sets Goddard apart is the excellent communication we regularly receive from the Owner and Director. Timely communication is important to me, and often I will email and I usually get a response within minutes to an hour - which is impressive! I also have seen very little to no teacher turnover in the year we have been there. My son has had the same two teachers since he started the school year. If teachers are happy they will stay, so the fact that staff retention is high is another sign this school is doing something right! At our previous school my son seemed to have a new teacher every 3-4 months and it was always an adjustment, especially for a young child.I highly recommend Goddard of Huntersville! The front office staff always greets you with a smile and a hello when you enter and I have always felt comfortable leaving my child there.

Love the school, love the staff and the facilities! But most important thing I love my daughter being at Goddard!

My son started at the Goddard School Huntersville location when he turned two years old. He has been there since and is now about to start pre k at a different school only because we moved to a different county.He has enjoyed every moment and the teachers are exceptionally caring as well as creative in how they interact with their students.We would recommend this school to anyone in the area that is looking for a structured but fun learning environment for their child/children.We are so grateful we had the opportunity to have him in Goddard for the time he was there. I know he has benefited greatly from the education and nurturing he received from the staff.

Have been looking into preschools for my two year old son whos turning three, heard great things about gaddard school in general UNTIL I walked into this location. I was greeted by the owners wife that not only greeted us with attitude but she didnt even introduce herself. Once she saw my husband, son, daughter, and I waiting quietly and patiently to inquire information she greeted us with a dry and catty what do you need as I continued the conversation after my husband already checked out because of her ugly attitude, I stated I was looking into preschools for my son who would be three in January, she looked me up and down, rolled her eyes, and then stated I dont have room for your son in any of my classrooms so I said okay thank you. I then turned to grab my son and she continued with a I guess I can give you a tour if youd like and I politely said no. Thats okay. I couldnt even get past the owners wife let alone trust anyone there with my own kid. If you cant crack a smile and be polite then you shouldnt be running a business that involves kids. I could understand having an attitude with someone causing problems but a family who waited quietly to inquire about YOUR business, not so much.
