I had high expectations as well I seen the decor the layout of the place was ok clean Parking lot but all of management was beyond rude. Welcome to LA paying for parking thats another joke $200 deposit ok I can understand that this place keeps jaking up the prices as you stay. Its not worth staying at this place when people treating you with disrespect is a understatement. Fix management or just hang it up.

Okay look I usually don’t do reviews for hotels but I had high expectations for this hotel due its decor and area. Me and my partner stayed for 1 night and for 1 night it’s okay I suppose but the service and room were horrible! I don’t know the guys name from the front desk but he was really impatient and rude, woke up on the wrong side of the bed perhaps? I have no idea what was going on in the rooms but our room was a mess. Broken lights, hair inside the bathtub and our sink, dirty unsweeped floors. VERY and I mean VERY dirty sheets, so dirty they even had hairs from the previous visitors and believe they were hairs from areas I do not want to describe. Overall I rate it a 2. I honestly do not recommend staying here due to my experience here.

There is nothing wrong with this budget hotel. Its easy to see that the negative reviews are being staged by this establishments competitors and isnt indicative at all to The Legend Hotels true cleanliness and/or managements customer service professionalism. To find a location as this one and its 5 minute in proximity walk to Hollywood Boulevard for in most cases less than $100 is virtually unheard of. I can say with the utmost confidence and assurance that I recommend this hotel over all other budget hotels within the Hollywood area.

To my surprise this actually met and exceeded my expectations super quiet super comfortable no drama I will intentionally go back here.

This hotel is disgusting. The pictures the property posts are extremely deceptive. Within 15 minutes of my arrival a huge roach runs from underneath the bed. Maybe 20 minutes later another came from under the bed. I killed both. Pics attached. The bedding had stains, the towels had stains, the shower was covered in mildew, and the toilet handle was broken. I showed my pictures to the front desk and he could care less. Was unwilling to provide refund. I left a few hours after checking in. I refuse to sleep in a dirty bed, reach infested hotel.

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. Was planning to stay here as a budget hotel and they had promised free parking (first come first serve) when I had booked a month in advanced and even brought my concern to them that I am afraid the policy for free parking may change and they had promised me that that will not happen. When I call a week before my booking they tell me that the policy has changed and they cannot do nothing about it. They are definitely GREEDY and do not keep their word. Untrustworthy employees. Cancelled as soon as I experienced this. Payed even more money than what they had charged me for another hotel with a lot better staff. Completely worth it than booking with this hotel. This hotel is a joke.

I lost my wallet during My last visit to LA on August 9th., and havent been able to process a new ID drivers license yet because of pandemic and I was mugged my last time here because I was denied entry into La Brea inn for an unexpected extra day emergency stay in LA I didnt have my cashapp card which was lost as well as my ID the only identification I had was a picture ID I used for my Medicaid and a virtual. Credit card on my cash app on my phone. I booked a stay at 4 other different hotels tilt. Quality Inn, best western on hiland Blvd and was denied entry into each one. Because I didnt have cash one being just 20 dollars at the cheepest pace i found Lebrae. Inn. To beg to give me a min to get in room first ans charge phone this way I can figure out how to take my money out of cashapp and pay the incidental fee.I had $1921.00 on my cashapp and explained my situation and showed them. All 4 hotels denied my entry and charged my stay as if I stayed at each one anyway.over 1000 dollars spent on stays I was denied check in. And showed the door.I had to walk with all my belongings in rhe streets at a late hour where I was hit in the back of the head which I dont remember happenning or 5hrs after as my goggle history shows me waking aimlessly because I suffered a concussion my inability to report it or look for answers didnt dawn on me until days later.I just wanted to go home and didnt know why I was in LA and not in NYC.As a result of the attack aftermaths of health situations began to happen. My left hand started to swell then. It healed when I was about to admit myself but then I began feeling a sharp pain in the upper middle section of my back right behind the location of my heart with pain in the front part of my chest... same side... and I couldnt breathe properly my breathing became strained like I couldnt Get enough air to breath with knot my lungs.i walk well I ended up in cardiovascular intensive care unit for over a week. My heart was pumping blood at 18%.to the normal 60%.. I was robbed of everything not only in the street but also by those hotels that could not give a helping chance to someone in an emergency situation.This hotel is like those.5 stars on cleanliness and location.

The staff at this location is extremely rude. Parking is horrible and there is not enough spots for the rooms being rented. They do not tell you this if booking online so beware there is a $25 charge just to park. Additionally even if you are willing to pay the $25 charge there is not enough spaces for you to park.The theme is pretty cool and the paintings are nice along the wall as well as the color scheme, but this is an older hotel with very basic items on par with the Motel 6. You will hear a noise from neighbors coming in late at night, the beds are very basic, no Hollywood glamour here...

The staff is extremely rude. They dont have any customer service skills. They have an attitude all the time and are very nosey who comes to visit. You are not allowed to have guests to come to your room.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! They will not provide any cancellation prove after canceling, then they refuse to give back the copies they made of the Credit card and ID. The guy at the from desk just keeps ignoring us for 55 minutes straight and the guy named Alis or something refusing to even talk to us. Thats the worst hotel experience I’ve had in my whole life and god i have been in so many hotels in my whole life but this front desk guy is literally sitying there screaming at us and refuses to help us.Edit:Been 2 hours at this point and this front desk guy keeps ignoring us and refuses to provide a receipt nor the copies of he made of my credit card and even after telling hil he can keep the money we just want a receipt or a cancellation form to avoid any cancellation charges and he just refuses to assist nor even talk to us. He’s just watching tv and playing with his phone.

Ive been to this place about 5 times now. People are exaggerating. If a hotel is 60-70 dollars dont expect the best things. The service isnt horrible but they hardly speak English. Just keep the conversation short and youll be fine. Your cars are safe here, the rooms are clean, the shower water is good, the beds are comfortable but DO bring pillows because the ones they have are small. The room comes with queen bed(s), a table with two chairs, a mini fridge, open closest space (better described as a hanging rod), two night stands, and a clean bathroom. Definitely worth $60-70. Dont book ahead of time, I never have so I dont know that experience but past reviews make it seem like a bad idea. Just as for a room the day of, I always do and they always have rooms. :)

Great location, near a CVS and other convenient establishments. Clean and a lot nicer than I imagined it would be. Overall, great price for the stay. The only con: its near a busy street where it gets some traffic from people and cars, so the noise may be a issue for some.

Rooms are small and updated but still felt old. We had double beds that felt like they barley fit. The manager was odd and asked for cash for parking immediately after charging our card for the room instead of asking if we wanted to charge parking with our room. The location is amazing and in the heart of everything. We walked to the Pantages theater and it was about a ten minute walk. We havent made it to breakfast yet but it looks to be a pretty basic continental breakfast.

Great place!!! As Long as you got your own Plumbing before you show up!! Careful of the loose needles hanging around. Also the $20 parking is limited so you might pay for a spot that isnt available! Other than that coffee is great! And the guest and staff were nice.

First time coming here with my family. After a long day we came across this place and it was very friendly, family oriented, clean and as modern as it can be for the price. I highly recommend coming here !

Legend Hotel Hollywood is a quaint hotel located at the intersection of N Cahuenga Boulevard and Yucca Street. Its technically a motel with the word Hotel in its name. I like this place because three stores which I visit quite frequently not only walking distance but directly across the street. 7-11 is next door. Panda Express is across the street. And a 24 hour CVS is adjacent to Panda Express. The rooms in the motel are decorated with memorabilia featuring such stars ad Charlie Chaplin, & Uta Hagen. Beds are comfortable, rooms are similar to Motel 6 but a notch higher in decor. Everything else in the room as far as configuration is pretty much the same. Continental breakfast in the lobby.

Really annoyed that they havent refunded me 200 dollar deposit. They took it out of my account as a purchase. GREEDY

This hotel I awesome! The rooms are very clean, a nice size, and very modern Hollywood feel. The price is incomparable!! We stayed here for 2 nights and couldnt ask for more. Guaranteed parking if you pay for it. I will be staying at Legend Hollywood every time I am in LA

Incredibly insensitive towards my plight with booking a late check in for one night only after a long arduous flight experience only for their nigt attendant to inform me of a $200 DEPOSIT last minute upon checking in which I did not clearly see on my itinerary THEN telling me their cancellation policy implies no refunds! Not even a partial refund! Many Yelp reviews unfortunately say the same

The place is very well designed. THe backdrop behind the bed was a large diffuser for sound. I immediately took note of the fact that the room was sound treated to some extent. The neighbors had music blasting, and I could not hear it until they opened their door. Great place. Nice easy stay and great way to pass the days.... nice and easy.

The hotel owner was very polite,the rooms were re renovated to a new modernized look/feel. prices were pretty fair.They were however, a little small but still, i would recommend this hotel to anyone. Also a very convenient location!

My first visit was back in 2003. Back then it was called Best Inn Hollywood. I am a regular visitor (2005, 2008, 2010) and now 07/2016. It has gone a renovation and now the Hotel looks very modern and cool. Nice place to explore Hollywood, Universal Studios and so on. I will stay again here. Then only trowback is that you have to pay for the parking.

Wow; these rooms are as posh as the Hilton or the W. It has an upscale artsy side to it. I dont know about the the rooms but I just checked in and love it. Definitely worth the price; although staff may be disconcerting but I think its because they clearly dont speak English

Great location, right across Panda Express and CVS. Steps away from Hollywood strip and night life. Parking here is $20 a night which is a downside and the management Mr Mosby looking headass Rafi was rude upon checking in. Staff weren’t friendly or helpful at all. Rooms were clean and air conditioned. Bathroom kind of small. Overall, probably won’t ever stay here again.

I had a very unpleasant experience with the manager. My account is all messed up from them having a hold and then also taking more funds out. He was extremely rude and got loud with me a few times. However, the morning guy was friendlier and the room was really nice. The parking was limited, but they didnt tell us we could only have one car until the second car got there. I probably wont go back.He almost ruined my NYE.

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at before. Most items were dirty from previous guests such as bed sheets, toilet seat, dressers, and sink. Additionally, mattress was squeaky and uncomfortable. Wifi connection was terrible and tv didn’t have many channels. Breakfast did not look appetizing, there was brown bananas, rotten apples, and no brewed coffee. Noise was also an issue as everything outside ur door can be heard loud and clearly as well as out the window. Bathroom was not well done and there was no mirror inside the bathroom. Unfriendly workers and room was obviously not cleaned from previous people with other people’s hair on the bed and sink. Overall, expensive for a bad quality hotel and expensive parking. Not a recommendation for a hotel in Los Angeles.

Very nice rooms but this place did not have enough parking for their guest. On top not that, they charge $20 for everyday you stay to park your car. Even if you dont get a spot, you can still park on the property but you still have to pay.Free breakfast is just cereal, yogurt, danish.

The rooms are nice but the bed and sheets have unpleasant odor to them. There is a parking fee of $20 for EACH vehicle and space is limited. The parking lot and entrance are very tight in space so they dont allow trucks and suvs in the motel parking lot. They make you park down the street in a public parking lot. There should be a sign before the entrance stating that trucks and suvs should not enter due to the tight space. It would make things easier and help prevent accidents from happening.

Personally I think this is a wonderful value for the price. They have really done a wonderful job with the renovation. They have always been very accommodating when ever I have to go to a hotel for the night.

It was really clean and nicely decorated. Extremely close to Hollywood Blvd and the great things in Hollywood! My only problem was the $20 parking fee. Considering it was the only place to park, it was annoying not to know therw would be an extra charge but other then that a good experience.

The place is pretty decent. The cleaning service is good. WiFi speed is good. The password changes every Sunday.

The staff was not helpful they were very rude. The parking is not free and there is no where to park your vehicle because parking is limited. When you reserve this is something they should tell you in advance and they do not, nor do they provide information as to where you can park. How can a hotel with 25 rooms only have enough parking for half the rooms available. Very unacceptable.

Legend hotel was great. The rooms are clean and spacey. Parking lot is a little tight if you are going to park. Great location, within walking distance to many restaurants bars. Would defj itely recommend.

I havent stayed here myself so I cant say from my own personal experience, but I have spoke to a family that stayed here on vacation and they said it was significantly cheaper than other hotels in the area but it is a cheap hotel, so just dont expected to be nice. But if youre looking for a deal, this is the place.

The owner of this place was very rude and almost seemed racist towards us. We had just arrived to LA and we needed to stay somewhere with our luggage for a few hours until our 3:00 PM Airbnb check-in time. We were not going to stay there for the night but we were more than willing to pay for a room at a full-day stay rate so we could stay somewhere for a few hours. I saw that this Motel listing online was for $94 and would come to a total of $107 after taxes. I called to ask if they had a room available at that exact moment(10:06 AM) he said “yes.” When I told him that I’ll be there in 15 mins he said that they were still cleaning the room and it would take 30 mins. I told the owner that we did not mind waiting with our luggage in the lobby until the room was ready. When we arrived I told the guy that we had just spoke over there phone and he’s like “yeah the room will be ready in 10 mins” And I told him that it was fine we don’t mind waiting. So I asked him for the total and he said “well if you check in before 12 PM it’s $145 and if you check in after 12 PM it’s $125” I told the guy that the listing online said otherwise and he didn’t tell me that the check-in time mattered over the phone. Then he started to change his prices and started raising his voice at us saying that we would have to pay extra because he could easily sell the room to someone else. Again, I explained to him that we wouldn’t even stay the night, it was just until 3 PM , and he hadn’t mentioned any check-in times over the phone. He then said that since it was more than one person in the room it would be an extra $45. The guy could of made easy money from us because we were only staying until 3:00 PM but wanted to upcharge since we were women and knew we were tourists because of our luggage. This guy lacks customer service, lacks communication skills, and lacks respect for other people and customers. You are better off going to a hotel since it will eventually be the same price!

The worst customer service. I called to cancel my reservation and the desk clerk told me that I couldnt cancel the reservation. After discussing this with him he informed me that I would have to cancel the reservation within 24 hours. I informed the clerk that it was within 23 hours 30 minutes and he informed me that I still could not cancel the reservation. I asked to speak with the hotel manager and he refused to let me speak with the manager and he refused to let me speak to the motel manager. I again requested to speak with the manager and the clerk hung up on me. I called back and informed him that I am canceling the reservation, the clerk decided to tell me that he had been in the motel business for over 40 years and then he hung up on me again. The worst experience I have ever experienced from a clerk. I would not stay at this motel now knowing how they treat their guest.

The staff was so nice and the room was wonderful! The good in the morning was amazing and so good!The parking is a bit sketchy and getting into the lot while its high traffic can be a handful though.

We arrived (after an 11 hour flight) and were greeted by a very grumpy man who just demanded credit card and passport for I’d.He then photocopied the credit card and passport when asked why he photocopied the credit said he needed it for I’d, even though he has the passport for id.We woke up the next morning with itchy and painful rashes , when we investigated further we realised it was BED BUGS!!!!We then looked under the sheet and bam, there it was , a baby bed bug running around.we even have videos to prove.As if that wasn’t bad enough, when we went down to speak to the manager , he didn’t even bat an eye lid, didn’t get up to see the bites, just didn’t care at all. And then accused us of lying! The attitudes of the men running This place are diabolical.They wouldn’t wash our clothes despite there being a laundromat next door, and we had to buy our own cream and medicine and bed bug spray !bed bugs can’t be controlled especially when people are constantly coming in and out, we showed this understanding, but the way the management dealt with this was horrendous.Do yourselves a favour and avoid This hell hole!!!

They keep unsecured customers information. Including a photocopy of your licence and credit card. When I asked him what they did with them he said they were filed for 3 years. in the morning I witness the front desk clerk looking at last nights photocopys if these people arent selling identites then they are just cheap because for 200+ a night this information should be encrypted. the clerk says its been this way for 15 years, probably time to upgrade security. Cancelling cards today thanks for nothing

My husband and i stayed 2 nights in this hotel, our first night was not very pleasant we hardly slept due to noise coming from the street and our neighbours. The walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbours talk. The person who did our check-in (not sure if he was the owner) was not very polite and professional (he didnt even say hi to us the 2nd day and he barely speaks English). They charge $20 per night for a tiny parking which doesnt have enough spots for all cars. The breakfast is... well very basic, we liked the Yoplait yogourts though. As for the room, it seemed very nice when we entered but quickly realized that it was an illusion. We found a cockroack on the counter, the water in the shower was not warm enough and the toilet tank was leaking (my husband mentionned it to Rafik but nothing was done during our stay). Basically, we wont come back in this overpriced hotel!

The stay in this hotel was excellent, everything was very clean, the best thing was that the floor is made of wood and that helps it not to have a bad smell. Very suitable for family.
