Amazing place! Like the instructors that are friendly, respectful and passionate, that same energy is passed on to the students and it shows all around.I recommend this AMAZING ACADEMY of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to those who are interested in trying it out for their first time. They will definitely teach you the basics foundations of the art. Everyone in the academy even the current students are very helpful. They Speak English, Spanish and Portuguese !! Spanish is my primary language and English is my second. It has helped me a lot to understand different techniques because it’s sometimes translated in Spanish, This place and the people here are like a 2nd home and family! Come and try it out for yourself!

This place is a rip-off. Complete rip-off and scam.I paid them $700.I went to 3 classes, got a chronic health issue which put me out of doing jiu jitsu pretty permanently and they wouldnt refund me ANY of the money back.Scam.

Before signing up here I looked up the reviews and they were great. The training was also really good and I learned a lot of new things. However, their billing system is a complete SCAM!!! Initially I was only interested in applying for the 1 month at a time terms but Herbert, front desk/one of the trainers was telling me how I could save money if I sign up for three months. He said that I can just cancel when I know its the last month I want to attend. He also made me sign a contract for a waiver and agreement to that. Nonetheless, something came up with my family and I had to leave for a month out of the country. I asked them to credit me the days I was going to be gone so I can use my days when Im back but they refused. Apparently, Herbert can only take your money but doesnt deal with billing. They only way to do so is via email with someone else. Good luck trying to reach any of them via phone. No one had mentioned that I can freeze my account whatsoever. I told him that I was really disappointed from that and I went to my bank to refund the money and they did. However, the gym kept charging me even though they knew I wasnt attending. Later on, they showed my bank that stupid piece of contract and they were able to take the money again. I didnt realize Im signing up for an apartment lease and to have my freedom taken away to not do anything but their stupid Jiu titsu. I have tried so many times to explain to them how unfair and inconvenient this has been but they ignored all of my requests. They only offered me one month for free. What on earth makes you think I want to go back to you after what you did??? They want to teach you something good but they take advantage of you at the same time even if you dont attend any of their classes. Not only that but Herbert who was acting as a noble coach told me that he had bad feelings about me when applying. How rude!!! What kind of coaching or customer service is this???!!! I will never recommend this place to anyone.

Are you looking for jiu-jitsu instruction for your child? Look no further - the guys at HBJJ are head and shoulders above other places. I know this because we attended two other places before this.Heres are the differences between HBJJ and other Jiu-Jitsu places in my experience.1) Understanding children. These guys are here to make the experience fun even though its in a disciplined setting.2) Discipline. The instructors here keep the kids in line but with the right approach. There is no yelling or threats but they command respect from the kids because they give it.3) Safety. This was my main concern based on my previous experiences. I had attended other classes where my child was not taught how to fall correctly and there was risk of serious injury in every sparring session based on lack of oversight and instruction.This is NOT the case at HBJJ. The kids are taught how to fall and practice falling at the start of every session.The instructors are skilled at keeping an eye on all sparring matches and end any match before an arm bar or other move risks hurting a participant.I cant say enough good things about HBJJ.

First class instruction, by world class teacher. The dojo is highly competitive, but at the same time they break down lessons in a patient way. I recently received my brown belt for Sensei Rodrigo, hes as kind and caring as you can ask for in a coach, but he gets results.

Being a female I was looking for a gym that teaches kickboxing in a friendly environment were I could get a great workout and have fun. I definitely found that at Hollywood Brazilian Jiu Jitsu! Awesome location and facility, the instructors are great and very knowledgable. We do a lot of social events together as a group which is a ton of fun. Highly recommended!!

My son has been taking jiu jitsu classes here for about four years (he is now 8), and loves it. Hes stuck with this longer than anything else hes done. Coach Tim Davis is the primary instructor, and is exceptionally good at teaching kids. The coaches take the time to teach jiu jitsu in a way kids can understand, while also instilling in them confidence, self-respect, respect for others, discipline, and being a good teammate. The kids have fun and learn a lot. Jiu jitsu takes time to master, and my son has improved greatly over the last couple of years. For the last year or two, the classes have been a pretty equal mix of both boys and girls. The kids in class get to know each other pretty well, and are truly supportive of one other -- they really do act like a team. Kids classes are offered 3 days/week. The monthly fee is reasonable.
