Wonderful experience!!!Master Hwang and Master Kim are real professionals. While attending, my daughter learned not only taekwondo skills, but built self confidence and self esteem.They have wonderful belt program, so a kid always stays motivated. We used to go to another martial arts place. Out kids werr bores and unchallenged. A coworker suggested HTC. Master Jason and his team have exactly tue right temperment and balance between dicipline and fun. My kids are learning to defrend themselves and learning to be in charge of their destiny as well. We highly recomend it . Be advised that this place had relocated to the balcony above Ralphs on Pico and Beverly. They are amazing

Having my son attend Hwangs Tae Kwon Do has been one of the best decisions. I am grateful to Master Jason for being a great coach, mentor, and role model. I enjoy and learn from Master Kims serious and fun approach to coaching children and patiently teaching them the tactics. My son has become more confident and disciplined.

The team at Hwangs Tae Kwon Do Center welcome you no matter what your level. They will teach you with a passion rarely seen in todays world. If you are just interested in keeping fit through to seeing yourself win a gold medal (Master Jason has a few!) you will enjoy your sessions here. A good family event to do something together!

There is lot martial arts studios out there but none at caliber of this studio. They teach genuine Taekwondo with great passion. They are also great at accommodating all ages which is hard to find. Great kids martial arts class in Los Angeles Area!

Hwangs taekwondo is a wonderful place. The place is very clean and the masters are hard working . My two kids take taekwondo here. They have more confidence in them and became very positive. It helps my daughter concentrate better. I really recommend you to visit there.

My 5-year old has been going to HTC for almost a year now. Hes tried other sports and activities, but TKD is probably one of his favorites (and most consistent!). He enjoys the challenges that come with every new belt and dreams of getting to black belt! I love seeing his confidence soar and his determination grow. Master Jason, Master Kim, and Instructor Sasha are all amazing, funny, enthusiastic, patient, and passionate in teaching and encouraging the students. We love HTC!!

So, Im no spring chicken. Ive always been an athlete but lets be real: the older we get the less often we are to step outside of our comfort zone or normal routines of whatever it is we are comfortable doing. Martial arts were never something I thought about or desired to do. My parents didnt present it to me as option growing up so I did all of the popular sports most kids do. Well boy do I wish I had started ages ago! Taekwondo has impacted my life in so many amazing ways. I have become more disciplined, focused, confident, and more willing to keep any and all goals that I set no matter how busy or tired I become. Im learning Korean terminology, Im becoming stronger, more flexible, and my self-defense skills are good enough to make anyone around me feel safe lol. The environment is encouraging and positive, with a family atmosphere of support. I love taking the Family and Adult classes because I get to practice with all belts, which helps me learn more and get better. I recommend taking taekwondo here as an adult and for SURE if you have a little one. I discovered this school through Yelp and the reviews are 100% accurate. I just renewed my membership for another year, as I am committed to becoming a black belt!!!! Im grateful to all of the instructors here who have made this journey exciting and FUN which every adult still needs! :-)

We have been a part of HTC for over 3 years and now have 3 family members participating in classes. It has been a great experience for all. The whole HTC team are fantastic. My son and has learned discipline and confidence and now my daughter has started on the same path. This is the first sport that my kids have wanted to stick with and get excited about each session. My wife takes the family class with my son and has enjoyed the chance to participate in an activity like this with our son.The instructors are patient, humorous, and fun to be around. If youre interested in finding a sport that the whole family can enjoy, TKD is it and HTC is the place!

Hwang’s Tae Kwon Do Center is an amazing place for adults and kids alike. I’m now ringing in my eighth month at the Dojang, and I can honestly say that joining was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The classes are mentally and physically engaging, and Masters Hwang and Kim have a gift for keeping things light while still teaching the martial arts and instilling discipline. They work hard to foster a supportive community in class that allows everyone to edge just out of their comfort zone.Kids classes occur throughout the day, but as an adult, I’ve found it especially appealing that one set of adult classes begins around 8pm most nights, making it much easier for me to make class after work. (If you’re looking for something earlier they have adult and family classes beginning earlier, as a ell).Don’t know how to get started? Master Hwang offers a great intro program where, for a flat, reasonable fee, he gives you a uniform, private lesson where he explains how class works and what you will do in class, along with basic skills, and three lessons to drop in on so you can really get a feel for the place before committing.Thanks to Masters Hwang and Kim, I am becoming more fit, flexible, coordinated, and focused, all while having a blast with amazing new people.
