I joined this gym because I wanted to expand my training from Muy Thai to MMA. David does a great job running the classes and is very knowledgeable about training/drilling. The facility is always clean and the gym culture is all about hard work without all the toxicity. Id recommend coming in whether youre completely new or an experienced fighter.

Our 5 year old son spent his entire summer break at Moorimgoongs Summer Camp and he had a blast!! In fact, he has already asked to come back next summer! The staff was always ready to play and they had such creative activities for the kids each day. It is such a caring and supportive environment, thanks to Chief Master Daniel and his leadership! We are looking forward to continuing classes during the school year as we really noticed a difference in how our son listened at home. Amazing! I highly recommend this school!

I wanted to wait until I had been here a few weeks to share my experience. I love this place because it’s one of the few places in the nation who teach traditional philosophies. The professionalism is beyond exceptional. The attention & teachings with the heart of a teacher & leader is exactly what I hoped for. Please be advised that you have to crawl before you walk. The discipline, reflex, mindset, & encouragement that I’m attaining in my lessons is worth every penny, for my overall well being. I hope you have a great experience as well!

It is a very good korean martial arts school. It is especially good for people who wants their child to do something. It is also good for people who are interested in different asian martial arts. We learn punches, kicks, weapons, and a lot more. A lot of the martial arts schools have strict teachers. If you want things to be chill then this is the right place. Even though it is chill, we still learn a lot. If you want to know more about how the school works, please come pay us a visit. Thank you!!!

Ive been training at Moorimgoong for only a few months now and I love it! I never imagined that I would enjoy it as much as I do. I went in with the mentality that martial arts was not for me because my passion was dance. However what I came to realize is that both art forms complement each other. Not only have I gained more flexibility and balance but also Ive become more focused and confident. I highly recommend Moorimgoong because it is a positive and welcoming environment.

Getting my Black Belt has always been a top goal for me personally, but in working with this school I have also discovered so many more benefits & goals it has made me see to work towards also. First, I felt really inspired to exercise and how good and healthy and beneficial it feels to my body to keep consistent. Second, it is keeping my mind young and sharp. Lastly but not least, my spiritually has been enhanced and this is enriching and inspiring many other things as well. In conclusion, now almost at my Black Belt this school has not only given me a chance at this number one goal, but given me many more other benefits and inspirations in my life as well.

I just cant say enough good things about our experience so far! My 6 year old son attended summer camp and from that moment on, he is living and breathing martial arts. He couldnt wait to get up and go to camp everyday, and asked to stay longer when I would pick him up. Aside from all the fun, I feel that my son built very strong relationships with his classmates and teachers. Chief Master Daniel and all of the instructors are so patient and really know how to build a long-lasting passion in their students.

I think that Moorimgoong is such a great place to learn self-control and live a good life. Thanks to all the staff at Moorimgoong, my life has become more lively and easier to live. I had first came to this place 7 years ago, and trained for 5 years. But after that, I took a break for 2 years which I think was a big mistake on my part. But now that I am back, it feels great and I encourage other people to come and witness this blessing with all of the Moorimgoong members.

I joined MSW Martial Arts during my Sophomore year of high school and it was the best decision of my life. At MSW, I learned to become a more sophisticated person: educationally and humanly. After two years of diligent practice, I earned a black belt. This achievement allowed me to not only become a more respecting person, but also a person who received respect from others. Martial Arts trained both my mind and body, developing me to become who I am today. I definitely recommend MSW to anyone of all ages as it will help you become a more confident and happy person.

I’ve been coming here for a while now, this is more than a martial arts place it’s a constant learning environment for both the young and elderly. Martial Arts has teached me a lot especially in developing my character and being able to properly defend myself. How would I have ever guessed that martial arts could help my psyche? Suffering from a skin condition, the beautiful and charismatic, Grandmaster Ari Moon, initially helped me punch and yell out my itching. Now I also practice with her son, an amazingly adept martial artist and teacher, Chief Master Daniel Lee, along with the patriarch, the honorable Great Grandmaster Yong Moon. Their Dojang, Moorimgoong, has changed my life— the discipline, the focus and the sense of achievement has pushed me in new ways. Moorimgoong is a family of patience, kindness and hard work. My good friend started training at this dojang and she recommended I just try a class. I was never really athletic or into exercise so I didn’t know what to expect. What started as an intrigue eventually ended being something totally unexpected and really fun!As I started investing more time and energy into training, I’ve noticed a dramatic increase in athleticism and flexibility - two things that I have struggled with my entire life! Though there is still much to learn and get better at, I know that martial arts is a constant journey of self improvement. Also, I was able to find an amazing community of positive and like-minded people here. For all the ladies out there, it’s definitely worth investing time into training and learning how to defend yourself!

When my oldest son attended Moo Sool Won in 2015, he did not only start learning Martial Arts, he became also a member of the MSW family. In his first weeks of MSW classes, my son, who was 4, behaved so hyper and playful, used to rollover on floors, jump up and down from benches, run everywhere, and did not follow directions very well. However, with the right guidance and patience from his Masters at MSW, he was able to gain self-discipline, confidence, and focus. Two years later, my son is a blue-one black stripe belt, developing strong physical and mental skills that help him out on daily basis, specially at school. Plus, he is more self-independent, kind, and honest, proof of the quality of teachings by his Masters at MSW.My 6-year-old son loves his Kung Fu Masters, specially Chief Master Daniel and Grand Master Ari, whom along with Great Grand Master Yong and Master Sosam, guide all students, regardless of age or gender, with compassion, respect, trust, and love the essence of Martial Arts at MSW.Plus, the Masters main focus are to grow self-confidence and trust on the individual. I highly recommend Moo Sool Won if anyone seeks for a school that also teaches with love and respect.(The picture shown below is my son with Chief Master Daniel during the June 2017 Belt Test, when he proudly gained a black-stripe on his current blue belt.)

Before MoorimGoong, I was near 300 pounds and at the heaviest I had ever been. I started and stuck to a diet recommended by the Chief Master: Daniel Lee Moon, now im 215-220 and the best Ive felt in years. MoorimGoong is more than just a dojo/school, it has given me a sense of purpose, as well as discipline, and constantly humbling me with the limitations and lessons my body teaches me. 고마워요

I started training at Moorimgoong one week ago. I am a 30 year old New York transplant here in SoCal with a 4th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do who hasnt properly trained in 10 years. I have been searching for a martial arts school here in Los Angeles for 4 years with no avail. That is until I met a student who beat paralysis and attributed so much of her recovery to her physical and mental training at Moorimgoong.Upon entering Moorimgoong and meeting Chief Master Daniel I was very optimistic and felt welcomed by the general atmosphere and decor. Chief Master Daniel is a super friendly and knowledgeable business operator as well as a personable and efficient Instructor. He always has the time to explain the slightly different styles and ways of perfoming similar techniques. If youre looking to learn a new art, get in shape or you need an activity to boost positive mental health I highly reccomend seeking out Chief Master Daniel at Moorimgoong!

Ever since I was young, I’ve always wanted to do martial arts. From watching cartoons, Power Rangers, and kung fu movies I wanted to emulate what I saw. The Chief Director, Daniel Lee Moon was my highschool classmate and asked me to come in.I mustered whatever energy I had to come to class, and boy was it a revelation. I had never been so out of breath in my life. I never really knew how out of shape I was. After high school I stopped weighing myself and decided to focus on what I thought were more important things like getting my degree and looking for work. With time, dedication, and a few more moments of clarity in my life, I wanted to try other avenues to really maximize my output, but I had no prior experience, but thanks to MRG, I was able to explore that avenue. MRG isn’t just a martial arts school that taught me KungFu/TKD, it is a community that opened its arms wide to welcome someone lost like myself who wanted to better my life. They care about me as a person and I really appreciate that they cared about my growth so much that they able to show me “tough love” and push me to my absolute limits. Over time, I learned to understand that if I wanted to become something more than I am today, I’d have to work through whatever struggles I had. At MRG, I never had to do it alone.

Ive had my three kids enrolled in Moo Sool Won kung fu since last summer - and have kept them in for the school year. I have a boy age 11, daughter age 9, and another son whos 6. Theyve all had a great time making new friends, learning manners, respect, meditation, healthy eating and lifestyle -- even new languages (they also teach some Spanish, Chinese and Korean) -- and of course Kung Fu!The staff has been SO kind and understanding - Grandmaster Ari Moon and her husband Great Grandmaster Yong Moon are wonderful people who are in the dojang pretty much every day. There is a bus that picks them up from the local schools so I dont have to leave work. There are regular belt tests, and the kids gain confidence as theyre challenged with each new level.Moo Sool Won has classes for all levels, weekend classes in addition to after school programs, summer camp, Saturday Camp, family classes, womens classes, senior classes... theyve got something for everyone!Grandmaster says, Martial Arts is only 10% kicking and punching. The rest is a new way of living and seeing the world. The staff here at Moo Sool Won have provided a fun, loving, safe environment for my kids to support parents in teaching them to behave politely in society, prioritizing whats important... providing a foundation for a healthy individual, in addition to learning self-defense.Parking can be a little difficult, but theyre understanding about coming a little early or late to avoid heavy traffic times, and there is additional parking on the street and nearby businesses.Overall - excellent school. Im so thankful to have a school like this so close to home.
