My child has attended this school since Kindergarten, hes a 3rd now. I love it here, for so many reasons!! Its a very close knit hands on community. There are resources for your child to thrive and also help the parents be their best. Highly recommend! Check out the website for more info!!

My children are attending Vida and all I can say that it was the best decision I made 3 years ago. The staff at the school is very friendly and very professional. The teachers that my children have had and currently have are amazing. They take the time explaining assignments to the children and to the parents. They have great communication with the parents and are always going above and beyond for the students. When you have a concern or have feedback they are accepting to them and are willing to work with the parents to work things out. They have years of teaching experience. The school looks small, but its a great place for the children to think of a second home. The school site just added a playground, which I know the kids will enjoy. Since COVID, the teachers are very understanding to parents situations are willing to work around them to better help the student keep their education a priority. Each student has been given loaner laptops and if needed hotspots. The programs that they use are very easy to use. They have tutorials for parents who are not tech-savvy. Any announcements they post are bilingual. Workshops and meeting are parent and student friendly. They have various special classes that change each quarter to keep the students engage in their learning. My children love their teachers and school.

My daughter has been attending this school since it opened. Weve had a wonderful experience the last 3 yrs. My Daughter is reading, writing and behavior skills have improved dramatically. My wife and I, have always worked closely with the Teachers so that we understand how to assist with our childs educational needs. Heres one example of what we do.... If our teacher tells us that our daughter is not doing well in math, we then go to Barnes and Noble and purchase a workbook that she can practice on. The answers are in the back, so we can correct and work with her. Yes.... it does take time however these elementary years are the most important years of our childrens lives. We must invest and help make sure our child is going to succeed!!! Were looking forward to this coming year at the new campus. We highly recommend this school !

I dont see what the fuss is all about... PARENTS dont be lazy. Help your kids with their homework. I like this school my daughter is happy shes learning a lot. Academically its tough but this is the time your kids are sponges. They absorb everything. The teachers give you the tools to help the students. Now what you do with it its up to you. Cant wait for my other daughter to start next year.

My daughter attends this academy I believe it is a great school. I dont see what the big fuss is about regarding the teachers ethnicities. My daughters teacher is white and I dont mind as long as she is getting a great education. I dont see many Latino teachers and I am certainly not docking the ratings that they deserve!

My sons first year at Kipp so far so good only thing is there arent really many African American teachers and the school has a lot of African American students that attend Im just staying can our black kids get a few teachers that they can identify with a teacher that understands how it is to have been a little black boy or little black girl? I mean it is named Vida Prep Academy first of all, but my son likes it and Im happy with that besides if education first!

I do not agree with how they approach the parents about their childs behavior they dont seem to offer different resolutions to help they are very accusatory in the manner in which they relay certain situations to the parent where are the different services that are needed to resolve certain things. Also Im wondering where are the African American teachers for the African children. I am most certain that these teachers have put in applications to be employed there I am really wondering whats going on at this school!!!

My son has been attending this school for two years, kindergarten and first grade, and I am very disappointed. I have some reasons why: The first reason is that the teachers do not fully teach the students how to read. They give vauge homework. My son gets sick very often, so I will keep him home. They will call me several times for that day, sick. They do not have a playground, and they are demanding for what my son eats, and alternatively wants him to eat their dispisable food. They lock the school down like prison, and I would have to walk almost a mile to drop and pick up my child. They have three doors, but the parents only use one of them. If you dont have valet, you cannot use the other doors, and the valet is limited. My son has to spend school days from 7:30 to 4:00 p.m. Thats ridiculous for a kindergartener. And he comes home tired, yet he must do up to 5 pages of homework. That now he is going to second grade, barely knowing how to read, because the teachers dont teach them how to read, they only give flash cards. This school is a faliure.

HORRIBLE!!! to start ur child there.I started off loving this school. It had an excellent learning curriculum, staff seemed friendly, and the school seemed nice OVERALL. My child went there for 1 year straight anf after the year was over i immediately took him out. The school had no control of the kids. Especially for AFRICAN AMERICANS, they dony care about ut kids. They act as if they do but they dony. My cgild had been in school since age 2 and never even had a single phone call. But there my child kept getti g picked on and they did nothing about it. THEY are basis and kipp in general os a great organization but this school will hear it down
