Speaking as someone who has never fired a gun let alone an AR rifle, I cant begin to explain how helpful Bernard my instructor was at putting me at ease in firing an extremely dangerous weapon and teaching me the proper techniques. Three hours goes by very fast when youre having fun, which was the end result!

Top notch training. Far exceeded expectations. Heavy emphasis on proper weapons handling and safety - so that if you should ever need to use your weapon, you dont have to think about those things. We had private training with Ed (Eddie) - he was fantastic - and well definitely be coming back for more advanced training. They were really great about working with each of us individually at our own pace. Id handled firearms a decent amount before, my wife hadnt, and Eddie was terrific about that. Were both excited to go back for more training. Cant say enough good about this group. Professionals, and really great people to boot.

Had a wonderful experience with ADEs Handgun 1 class, so I decided to take their next class - Handgun Skillbuilder. Lucky for me, the other students rescheduled to another day. Instead of cancelling the class, ADE decided to continue with the class....scored a private lesson! We reviewed and practiced handgun basics....ready position, grip, draw, press out, sighting, trigger press, follow through, and safely reholstering. Its amazing how you can only learn a new skill through repetition and practice (there are so many moving parts!). After many multiple repetitions and the instructor was sure I can execute the foundational skills, we moved onto placing multiple shots on the same assailant, then multiple quick shot placement on different areas of the assailants body, and then addressing multiple assailants. We ended on close-quarter combat from the holster....from all different directions. I was amazed at how far I have come from two weeks ago; never thought I would be exposed to or learn so much in such a short amount of time. In addition to learning new skills, the most invaluable experience is learning real-life situations as to when to use each skill since the main stream media never shows us the true underbelly of our society and what bad things can happen to good people. Knowing such information helps me to avoid putting myself and my family into bad situations...forewarned is forearmed. ADE also keeps reinforcing that avoidance is always the best outcome; using your handgun is always the last result.

I love this place. Bill and Bernard are some tough sons of guns and truly great teachers. Safety is paramount to these operators and they would rather send you home than take your money if you’re being a hazard to yourself or others. I haven’t spent too much time around the other instructors and students but every time I have an interaction it is pleasant and informative. The ADE crew is more like a family and if you’re willing to commit yourself, they will give you back everything you’re willing to give them. Personal enjoyment aside, the ongoing training I’m receiving makes me feel calm and confident. And while I hope I will NEVER have to use this skill set, I will surely be ready if I do. Thanks for having my six ADE.

These folks are an amazing team! Sayaka is a great trainer. Just like any martial art, training form is one thing, but training under pressure is necessary to keep from freezing in a real situation. Also, the attention to detail and safety is extremely important. Get ready to work!

Amazing experience. From the first call talking to Paula and then the classes. Took a handgun class my 2nd one which was great, then took a private shotgun course with Bernard. What he taught me was amazing, he’s tough but I learnt so much and he made it fun. Couldn’t recommend these guys enough, excellent.

Took a lesson last weekend on basic pistol handling. I must say they did a great job. It was all very well organized and efficient. These guys are real professionals and obviously know their stuff. What I really appreciated was the focus on building skill; it was not just an extended safety lesson as nauseum, but real practical training in how to handle a gun effectively in real world situations in addition to safe use. My entire experience with American Defense Enterprises was professional, supportive and friendly. The receptionist I spoke with was cordial and helpful. Great experience with ADE! I would recommend this highly to anyone wanting to expand their knowledge and skill level.They work with you at your pace and teach you how to handle weapons in a variety of possible situations. I worked closely with Bill & Sean in the handgun course. Both were very knowledgable and professional. They gave practical advice that helped me in my comfort & competence. This was my second time joining the group, and my first time going for a one on one. I will be taking more courses.

I took the Combat Handgun l course and it was just as good as advertised, if not better. Ive been to a variety of ranges many times over the years but had never taken a formal lesson. The attention to safety and detail in building foundation skills far exceeded my expectations. Paula and Catherine are phenomenal instructors, so while you are learning a ton, they make it easy to understand and then apply during the course. I really appreciated the fact that you arent in a classroom-style setting but out in the field and learning by doing. Ill be back for more - would 10/10 recommend!

My husband, daughter, and I went to the handgun combat training. Paula was very knowledgeable and patient. Her training helped us to prepare for real life situations. Eddy worked with my daughter who is 13 and has had some limited experience. He was calm, patient, and clear with his instructions and she felt very comfortable with him. Kate was also instrumental in our family feeling comfortable and at ease with our learning process. The staff gave individualized instruction and answered any questions we had. We learned so much more information that we did not know we didnt know. Lol 🙂We will definitely be coming back for more classes.

Trained with ADE for the first time in the intermediate close contact course and had a great time. A special thanks to Paula for arranging a great session with Shain. If you’re looking for a professional and friendly instructor, Shain is your guy. Shain helped me work on the fluidity of my gun draw as well as moving my shot time from 1.2 seconds to .7 within a single class. I’d definitely recommend ADE to anyone looking for pistol courses. This is by far the most responsible and best training one can get in learning how to safely handle all types of fire arms.The instructors are professionals and make sure each student follows safety protocol first. What a great day. You need at least 3 days with each type of weapon since each have there own issues that you must learn and American defense is on top of each new student to make sure they learn safety first. First of all, WOW, Paula and her staff were amazing. Extremely patient and knowledgable. You dont waste time here. You get there and real training start, no videos. Everything was hands on. Even though our group was six people it completely fell like a private class as she had 4 other people assisting us as well. I cant wait to go back and take more lessons from them.

I am new to firearms and I can say the ADE team is amazing. And when I say new...this was the first time I shot a hand gun. They are true professionals...highly skilled at their craft...PERIOD!!They will teach you to shoot if you listen and take the feedback...and they will provide feedback....Most impressive for me is that you dont just shoot down range at the same target all day. You learn tactically how to shoot...not just standing in one place....which differentiates them from the others. My brother and I did a private lesson with Benard which cover the basics of a combat handgun course. Benard was an excellent instructor as well as the staff at ADE who were super organized with coordinating logistics. In a 3 hour lesson we covered a lot of material from basics of operating a handgun to going through the shoot house. Doug and Bill were amazing as well. ADE is a truly one of a kind tactical program in the United States and my brother and I were lucky to experience it.

I finished my 3rd course with ADE which concentrated on a AR15 platform with instructor Barrett over a 4 hr session. We covered safety, awareness, move and shoot drills with the day finishing off in the Shot House used by law enforcement (what a great experience). In the past, Ive taken ADEs shotgun and handgun training both indoor and outdoor at Burro Canyon. Ive also taken other firearms courses in the IE and OC included a 2 day event in NV, but the attention to quality tactical training is what sets ADE above the rest. ADE trains you for real life situations that might involve a split second life or death decision so its vital that your skills are ready for those moments. Thanks to Paula and Bill for building a long standing tradition of excellence that aids their students in comprehensive understanding of multiple weapon systems and how to use them wisely.

Yesterday I did the “handgun 1 class” with Paula at American Defense Enterprises and it was AMAZING. The way that Paula and all the coworkers prioritized everyones safety made me extremely comfortable. Everyone is so helpful, attentive and very nice. They made me feel like family. The class is very didactic and also fun. The glocks they let me use felt like new and were very easy to use. I took the beginner combat handgun class with my friend and her two sons. We went in with very little experience amongst the four of us. Three hours after training with Paula and Bill, we all felt very comfortable and capable of properly and safely handling a handgun. Shooting multiple targets while moving, reloading, etc. It was a fun and informative experience. We will definitely be taking subsequent classes to continue building our shooting skills with them. Highly recommend.

I found American Defense Enterprises originally on meetup through Girl Gun club. I had been looking for a community for women who like guns since it’s usually such an overwhelmingly male sport. When I got here, I realized from the first day that they were the real deal. The stuff we practiced was stuff that was never even talked about anywhere else. How to draw and fire, how to move and shoot, and they had an fbi course that I had heard of in places, but never gotten to shoot.I was hooked. I’ve been training with them for a year and a half and I have to say I got everything I wanted and more. The gun skills I learned are top notch, sure, but what I really ended up getting out of it was a sense of community. A place I actually belong. There’s almost nothing like it, where you can be a woman, or gay or another race and if you’re determined and work hard, they will respect you and teach you things you won’t learn anywhere else.

My daughter, husband, and a group of her friends had THE BEST TIME EVER during our class. All of us were first time gun users and now (because of everyone at ADE) we are hooked! Everyone was so professional, encouraging, and fun we cant wait to book our next class!!

For my daughter, an elementary school teacher, and myself, a rabbi, ADE trianing has been a G-d send. We are both very committed to protecting our charges, children and congregants, from the increasing frequency and danger from active shooters, whether domestic and international terrorists, or mentally ill individuals who want their 15 minutes of fame.Although we both practice regularly at an indoor range, nothing compares to the training we receive at ADE. They are first and foremost concerned with the safety of their trainees. Multiple strategies of defense, speed and accuracy are also developed. And when special needs or requirements are involved, the ADE trainers, including Paula, Chris, and Natalie were very understanding. And to top it all, the fees for training are really quite reasonable, and I have researched multiple training firms in that regard.G-d willing, neither my daughter nor I will be face with an active shooter situation, especially with a house clearing (see photo). But if we and our charges survive, it will be because of the training we received at ADE. We are signing up for more ADE courses. I highly recommend everyone do the same.

I travelled from Melbourne Australia to Los Angeles to shoot with American Defense Enterprises. Bill and Paula were extremely helpful and very professional from my first contact to my 3 weeks spent shooting with them in June 2018. Their very professional friendly staff were also excellent. ADE is amazing! Paula and Bill are so great to work with along with their entire team of trainers. The firearms courses are fun and extremely educational. Safety is their motto and we have a lot of fun at the range learning various tactical maneuvers such as one hand point and shoot, clearing shoot house, removing firearms from bad guys, even team tactics. Ive been shooting recreationally for 15 years. I thought I was pretty proficient with a handgun, but then my wife got me a day of training with ADE as a gift and I realized I had so much more to learn. Sure I could get great groups standing still right in front of a target, but once movement, multiple targets, friend or foe identification, reloads, and drawing from a holster were added in, it was a whole new ball game.Even in one day, ADE can take someone whos never even held a firearm from the basics of gun safety to clearing a shoot house.Whether youre looking to learn valuable skills that can save your life or just looking to have a fun day with friends, ADE is the place to go.

ADE is a paramount training operation. Everyone is extremely friendly, extremely focused on safety, and really want you to have a good time. Have been to several of their courses from handgun to shotgun to AR and all of their instructors are excellent and very well trained. This was the best decision Ive made in learning to use a firearm by far. The instructors were very knowledgeable and nice and very attentive to mine and every others shooters needs. I walked out a better skilled firearm user and more knowledgeable in the safety of using my firearm. I will definitely be coming back to further my skills and just to simply have fun shooting stuff!

Had an amazing day today with American Defense Enterprises. Their procedures and training are the best of the best, and I have experienced military training at its best. Great place to learn how to use firearms. Brought my girlfriend whos terrified of guns and they did such a wonderful job with her that she actually admitted to me that she had fun. We held a bachelor party on the range. It was a great birthday network my experience and a lot of fun. I thought the instruction was excellent with lots of individual attention. We went thru a series of drills building on each skill. Finally, we went through the shoot house clearing rooms of of bad guys. It was quite exhilarating and I would definitely recommend it. Bill and his team are the epitome of professional. Had a great time, learned so much in just my first course. Safety is paramount. Great group of staffers and surrounded by good clients as well. The place has awesome service, a decent selection of range guns, and decent range lanes. However, the ammo prices are way too ridiculous and the place could use a solid remodeling as its just too grimy.

Great instructors, showed step by step how to properly use firearms, and after visiting twice(one year in between each visit) I felt comfortable in shooting, whether it be while on the move or stationary, after visiting the rage this past weekend, I applied what i learned and still saw my marksman skills
