This was the best school Ive ever been to. The teachers and staff are amazing. A few of them were there when I attended elementary school. My son now attends this school and he loves it.

My daughter has attended thia school since Kindergarten, and now she is a 5th grader. I love this school and I will miss my daugh2 attending. Thank you to all the staff

Both of my daughters have been attending Englehard Elementry for 2 years now. I have never seen such a dedicated and talented teaching staff in my life. While they are on a bus for over an hour to get there because of Jeffereson County bussing, I am not going to complain due to the tremendous quality of teaching that has taken place. Great Job!!! In a day and a community where parents always talk about whats wrong with our school system there are schools like Engelhard who demonstrates what is right with our teachers and principle. Engelhard excels for one reason and that is a staff that works together and is committed to nothing short of excellence, and great leadership provided by one of the most talented Principles I have had the pleasure of working with as a Parent. You will find many positive reviews on this school and in reality their should be many more if all parents would review. Jefferson County would do well to use this school as the example on how to run a school and how to build a team of teachers that will make a difference in the childrens lives. Mr. Elliot is the most amazing teacher I have met with skills that should be seen by all and his fellow teachers feel the same way as parents and Ms. Andersons commitment to her students present, past, and future along with a genuine concern for every child she comes into contact with is so refreshing and is very special. She also understands the kids on a personal level and is able to teach them in a manner that they learn and not just try to force all into one method. Yes our schools have issues, but on the other hand the answers or at least some of them are right in front of our face if the powers at be wake up and look.
