UND Aerospace Phoenix offers a well structured flight program at a great price! Professionalism and safety are held at high standards. This is a great school to learn to be a professional pilot.

While I definitely appreciate the training I recieved at UND in early 2020, I still would not recommend this school to others. There are pro and cons with any school and the biggest one here is, its just not worth the money. A 141 school like UND will make financing a breeze (well sort of, youll spend more than what they quoted you and good luck financing that later on). If you decide to go here, do yourself a huge favor. Make sure your CFI isnt new... and if you can, avoid a CFI who graduated from ATP. UND hires good and bad CFIs and I noticed the ones from ATP gave lesser quality instructions than others who have taught much longer. My CFI was brand new as a instructor, good pilot but hesitant and reluctant to give up controls. Sometimes youll overhear CFIs talking in middle of the briefing room complaining about their students, and I get it, some students could get them killed. Additionally, watch your account closely, many charge extra pre and post despite the actual time they are there. They might just sit in the plane while you preflight and charge you for sitting there or get there late but charge you anyway cause thats their minimum rate. If you do attend UND through their partner college CGCC, bare in mind, itll be a slow, painful process, semester after semester and possibly longer if you dont complete the requirements by end of a new semester. The staff at CGCC are not knowledgeable regarding the avaition program and prepare for the ground classes to be a complete waste of time. The Ground classes dont correspond to your flight training since its mostly self paced. Theres still going to be a lot of self studying required and you might wonder why youre watching other flight schools youtube videos in class instead of it being homework or why UND hasnt made any of their own. Honestly, if youre not under 21 and want to get into flying, Id recommend finding a good CFI thats also a DPE as theyll know of cheap plane rentals. Best of luck!

Great facilities. Friendly people. If youre looking for a flight training program that gives you options from airlines to GA and beyond, look no further. UND does their best to keep costs as low as possible, while still providing first class instruction, a safe training environment, and opportunities to connect with people in the aviation industry.
