Took the plating 101 class, overall positive experience. Instructors were knowledgeable, however did not go into the depth expected of showing different techniques and tools. Was more so a playground to test techniques you may have seen elsewhere. Was expecting a bit more depth / tutorials. With that said because this was a plating class its more artistic so I imagine their other classes may go into further depth based on reviews Ive seen.

We did the Top Chef Competition as part of a work team building activity. The chefs were very helpful and entertaining. Many in our group did not have much cooking experience and learned several key skills. I would recommend this to friends and colleagues as a group activity.

We had a great time at this cooking class. It was intimate and well run. It was great to get to sit down and have a nice meal after we cooked our food. I would definitely go back and do a second class with more friends.

Had such a fun night with city cooking !!! I booked the cooking with truffles class we made fresh pasta with yummy truffles !!!! I was hesitant to book alone but my group was so much fun ! Also chef ken was amazing super informative and so funny I loved how easy it was and the best part eating!!!! I recommend this for singles or couples and fun for a girls night! They served wine. I do not drink but I enjoyed the sparking water ! They also served a dessert to end the amazing meal we cooked ! Worth every penny ! I can not wait for the sushi making class !

Hosted a corporate team building event with City Cooking and it was a blast! From start to finish, the structure of the night was well thought-out and flowed nicely. Even the planning phase leading up to the event was worthy of praise because Stephanie was so understanding and communicated well. The hosts were super personable, which made it not only educational, but extremely fun. We added the cocktail option, and it was worth it!

After a long hunt for a Knife Skills class that wasnt all the way downtown and on a weeknight, I found City Cooking West End. Four of us signed up together and were part of a class of 10 people on a Saturday afternoon. Chef Ken was terrific; relaxed, very interactive, and he made the class fun and informative. He also prepared us a delicious meal that included all the different things wed chopped and cut while learning how to use our knives, and the class sat down and had a lovely, social lunch together. They even bagged up the leftover things wed cut up to take home, which I used the very next day. From start to finish, the experience was everything I was hoping for and more.Steph is lovely and accommodating, and we definitely want to take more classes at City Cooking West End!

Ok so hear me out... We like to cook, we love to eat, and we like to drink. I kid you not, we sat through an hour lesson on how to precisely cut your onion radish & Jalapeño. I dont wanna watch, I wanna do. There was no wine provided until the very end so watching this lesson on cutting was like watching water approach a boil. They actually did not have enough food for everyone and had to make a run to a local store for more avocado and tuna. There was no humor in the presentation & I think a couple stormed out at the very end which was relatable. I gave 2 stars because she did make a run out to get more food because I didnt get any of the tuna tartar. Ive done cooking classes before and they always provide too much food where you can take leftovers home. This place was penny pinching on everything. I asked for more Jalapeño and they didnt even have an extra Jalapeño in the back! Lmao. $135 pp - jokes. Go to Brooklyn Kitchen, thats a real cooking class.
