Amazing atmosphere, great teachers. I attended a sewing camp and the teachers were so patient and always asked questions on how you are doing. Karen is so fun and patient her other teachers are also so fun and super helpful. They take you through the tedious process of a garment design and make you understand as best they can. On Friday you wear your garments to a class trip and you make friends and the virtual students are also included as best they can. I will definitely go back for another camp. Thank you for the amazing experience 🤟

Karen has been personable and accommodating from the very moment I spoke to her on the phone to in person. The atmosphere in the studio is very welcoming. Youre guided and at the same time collaborating, on what you are going to get out of the classes you take. Creativity is yours to explore, which is a necessity!! To me you get it all hands on, hands off, terminology, no question is a stupid question, full explanations and of course homework. I will be taking more classes in the near future!!

Amazing college prep programs for any age.

I love Karen’s School of Fashion. I am currently a college student at NYU and I wanted to take fashion design and pattern making classes. Karen’s classes are personalized, at your own pace, and fun! I love going to Karen’s and she makes sure to follow all social distancing policies. The classrooms are super clean and a friendly environment. I now know how to make my own patterns, sew, and drape!

My twins took a class this summer and absolutely loved it. One is taking a break till next summer, and the other one is never stopping! Her words. Its a fantastic program, so much fun, and incredibly professional. I highly recommend it.

KSOF is one of the best sewing summer camp experiences my daughter has had. While the other sewing camps were great for starters. KSOF revolutionize the art of sewing and transformed it into a house of fashion and design. My daughter and I are impressed by the details introduced into KSOF such as the art of fashion, choosing quality fabrics, and are intrigued by the creative mastermind of Karen and her assistants. Hands down, KSOF has been the continuing catalyst into my daughters future design career.

I have only been taking Karens classes for less than 4 months and I am so amazed at everything I have learned thus far! She is patient and great at explaining things with detail. I feel so comfortable to ask questions and she truly helps you all along the way. I have created some great bathing suit style, costume pieces with her and I am forever grateful to this new skill she has helped me acquire. I will forever be her student! I look forward to learning so much more.

My older two daughters are current taking classes at KSOF. We are extremely thankful that Karen founded this school and provides kids with excellent opportunities and unique experiences to learn new skills and pursue thier passions in fashion. The first time in this class I instantly felt good vibes Karen is one of the most kind and sweet lady’s I ever met. I’m reinventing myself after retiring young and could not have made a better choice! Karen is amazing! She really makes sure you get it and she has the sweetest spirit! The location is convenient. The space is beautiful and comfortable it makes you feel as if you are already a professional working in the fashion district.

My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the week - the instructors, the other kids, and of course the content. She was engaged from day one, having fun and learning a lot. I think she appreciated the seriousness and professional aspect of the work they were doing, and she was having fun at the same time. The fashion show at week’s end was great, and it was interesting to hear the kids talk afterward about their ideas and designs. It’s a great camp!

My 16-year-old son has taken fashion design classes with Karen for almost two years. His progress has been nothing short of amazing. KSOF is like a mini-FIT, highly recommended for teenagers who seriously want to pursue a career in fashion. Karen, the owner, has tailored her instruction specifically to my sons interest in menswear and has helped my son perfect his sketches and sewing. Karens expertise in the industry and fashion education is very impressive. KSOF provides serious education in fashion drawing, design, and garment construction, complete with field trips and a fashion runway show that showcases the students creations. Karen is an amazing Teacher. After applying to FIT and not being able to get in, I did some research and found KSOF. I called quickly and sent and email to book my spot. I registered right away and I have 0 regrets. I learned how to draw within 1 week, call it even a day. I learned to be more accurate with my measurements and how to clean up the inside of my garments. I will be re-registering for her draping class which a friend of mine took and raved about and now I CANT WAIT!!!!
