Where to begin. Bryan is one of the best instructors that I have had the pleasure to work with and learn from. Very detailed and passionate about martial arts and self defense, Bryan has a vast knowledge in a variety of systems (Filipino Martial Arts, Muay Thai, Silat...) by training with top notch instructors (Guro Dan Inosanto, Chai Sirisute, Guro Virgil Cabada, Sifu Francis Fong...) and combines his expertise with a great dose of reality.He is not only a true martial artist but also a great educator and instructor who leads by example and remains very humble, despite all his achievements.

Have yet to train with Sifu/Guru Stoops in NYC, but trained with him for over seven years when he was located in southern California. His impressive skill set, covering a variety of martial arts, is only exceeded by his humility, wisdom, and patience. Whether a novice or advanced student, a child or an adult, Bryan Stoops would make an excellent choice for a martial arts instructor.

Guro Bryan is an excellent teacher. He has an impressive depth and breadth of martial arts knowledge but I think his key attribute is organizing and breaking down that knowledge in a way that allows it to be passed on to his students. He is very good with new and beginning students. His enthusiasm for the arts is infectious.

His curriculum is great! it is sometimes hard to find a martial artist who is as good as teaching it as he is good at practicing it and Guro Bryan happens to be both. Awesome guy all around! His classes are fun!

Guro Bryan is 1 of the MOST Diverse and cerebral teachers of martial arts today.He brings to the table real life full contact dog brothers experience, as well as traditional martial arts such as Wing Chun.Hes an amazing teacher, you cant go wrong by taking any of hos classes!!
