My daughter trains at this location and absolutely loves it. Her confidence has grown tremendously over the short time she’s been at this studio. Ms. Toni greets everyone as they walk in and creates a family atmosphere. Mr. Jr and Mr. Brandon are amazing with the little ones. They’re both so good at cheering the kids on and motivating them to do their best while maintaining a level of discipline on the mat that is age appropriate. We love our karate studio and look forward to the many years to come.

My son and my daughter both train at this location and I couldn’t be happier with the staff. Mr. Jr and Mr. Brandon are great instructors and always motivate the kids to do their best. My kids truly enjoy being trained by them. Ms. Toni is great at explaining all cost of all programs, my daughter is in the black belt club and my son is now in the masters club. I look forward to continuing my kids training here.

The team at Avalon Championship Martial Arts is phenomenal! Out kids LOVE their classes and their instructors. We (two kiddos and the mom) have been training here for the past year. When we came our son was beyond shy and struggled with confidence, he would give up at first try and would refuse to get back on the mat. Each and every time when that happened one of the instructors took time to talk to him and both encourage and reassure him. Now he enjoys sparing and enjoys a good competition on the mat – a miracle in itself. Our daughter was 4 when she started, often due to her age one instructor worked with her individually as due to her age she was not physically at the level of older kids - so much individual attention. As a parent all you ever want is to know that the place you entrust your child has quality individuals that believe in your child and know how to work within your child’s personality in order to foster personal growth in their crucial formative years. The instructors constantly work on the curriculum to ensure that it fits the kids, that it fits where they are in their physical development, placing tremendous focus upon proper technique to avoid injury. The entire staff has impressive skills in working with children, while they are fun and energetic, they still place great emphasis on focus, discipline and perseverance. We are tremendously grateful to all the instructors (especially to Mr. Jr and Mr. Brandon) and Ms. Toni for making us as a family feel welcome. Every time we miss a few classes they call to see that we are ok and at times the instructors even call the kids to just tell them that they see the effort and the progress the child makes and how proud they are of them – how many places do that? – not many! If you look for a sport and school that feels like family and prioritizes your child and emphasizes respect, look no further! Try it out and watch your child flourish physically and socially.

My daughter has been part of the CMA family since 2018. She started like most kids, very tentative and unsure about taking a karate class. Three years later she is just 3+ months away from earning her black belt. She really enjoys all the programs and loves the all the instructors there. All the instructors are great teachers, they are strict, but fair and are great teachers to all level of kids.

I understand that it is a business. But there shouldnt be so much bad business conducted. When you tell a parent that you as a school are recommending your 4 year old daughter a promotion to Black Belt Club, and fail to tell me as a parent of the cost of that promotion until your daughter is already being recognized in front of the entire class. This in tern puts you into a 3 year contract that you cannot cancel although when we signed the paperwork the location manager was asked if my daughter doesnt want to do it anymore in a few months, because she is 4 and peoples interest change, we were told that there would be no problem canceling. This information should have been provided before when you approached us as parents of the nomination and not presented when the student is already in a state of excitement for the recognition. Very unprofessional in my opinion. DO NOT fall for this trap. This should have been handled very differently.

My daughter has been going to CMA Avalon Park for almost six years, and has begun testing for her second degree black belt. She was very shy at first, but since she started she has gained numerous friends, a good deal of self-confidence and an appreciation for work and tenacity. She thoroughly enjoys going to her classes, and I am thankful shes found a sport that she likes.Personally, Ive done a season or so of their CAGE FITNESS program classes. While the program is kinda scattershot in its programming, its a fun way to spend a half-hour or so with other people doing physically demanding activities.There have been staff changes over the years, but thats to be expected. We have not met anyone on staff that wasnt pleasant.

Superior martial arts school. Instills MA skills, confidence and discipline in our kids. My son has been with CMA Avalon Park for about four years having progressed from white belt thru black belt. During that time I have been thoroughly impressed with the curriculum and every instructor my son has had the honor to learn under. To be clear, it has been challenging for him. I expect no less. The instructors instill discipline and demand excellence. Achievement without sacrifice is an illusion. Some background….I am a retired USAF Col having fought two wars in the F-16 and been a flight instructor on every level of flight from basic to advanced F-16 weapons employment. I have seen good and bad when it comes to instructional methods and instructors. Bottom line: CMA has the correct mix of curriculum and instructors to give our kids discipline and skills to not only to succeed in martial arts, but also set them on the correct vector in life. My hat off to the entire program and instructors.

I have been taking my boys to train at CMA Avalon for over 13 years. My boys have learned so much from the instructors there over the years. The dojo has been a second home to them. We love the instructors and consider them family.I read a review that has me very upset. I dont appreciate my son being called a disappointment, which he definitely is NOT. He has trained so hard. He has left sweat, blood and tears on that mat. He has matured so much and enjoys teaching the kids what he has learned.If you want to leave a review go ahead,. Everyone is entitled to say what they want. But make sure you say the whole story and the truth!

Both of our sons are students of CMA Avalon. We love what the Dojo stands for and what they teach and instill in their students. They teach discipline, respect, honesty and so much more than just karate. The instructors are great with kids of all ages and skill levels. We love the staff, Ms Toni has been great about keeping us informed of the different programs (costs, benefits, addressing concerns if for whatever reason our sons interest lies elsewhere), she’s always made herself available to answer any questions or concerns we have. I don’t even know where to start with Mr. Brandon, Mr. Zaus, Mr. Junior, and Mr. Jim. They are real life superheroes to our boys. We truly appreciate and admire them and their dedication to not only their craft but in the way they teach it as well. Our experience has been filled with nothing but kindness, courtesy, honesty and respect, you know all the things they teach. Here you are not just a student at a Dojo, you’re part of a family.

I would like to provide a fair and honest review of CMA - Avalon Park. I will start with the staff as I feel when handing your young child over to someone that will help mold their behavior this is priority #1. The Director Ms. Toni has always been wonderful to our family. CMA Avalon has experienced significant growth. While she has a lot on her plate she always makes rounds to see the kids. The Instructors Mr Zaus, Mr Jr, Mr Brandon, Mr Jim are the main team that we see the most. They teach with love, care and compassion. I am continuously amazed at their patience, understanding and communication with children. We have a younger child that sometimes zones out and gets lost. The team is always there to help with some 1:1 and reset his focus. This staff is amazing.I have seen some reviews around letting kids get promoted that shouldnt. I dont think that is a fair statement. While I like rigorous standards for my kids to reach for. Children at a young age also need to feel and learn accomplishment and this should be applied on a 1:1 basis vs a blanket statement. How well a child develops should also be on the parents to work with their kids outside of training, just like school. That is our responsibility as parents.Avalon CMA has grown a lot. If I could provide one recommendation it would be for a larger facility. Sometimes with children and parents it gets tight.If you want your child to learn Focus, Respect, Patience, Athleticism I would highly recommend CMA Avalon Park.

Today my family was kicked out of this location after spending 3 years training.i was forceable told to leave by nick peterman.Jr and brandon were a huge disappointment.toni is the biggest problem she lies to your face and smiles.mr O cant even look at you when you ask a direct question that is how you know he is lying to you.i love how the manager told cory armstrong on her review they would look into it. thats a lie.we had a meeting today that was supposed to be open discussion and turned out the decision was made already.the instructors even admitted they have not watched my son and they will not let him test.next week is testing and they kick us out so classy.i have spent over 8k with this program to be treaded like dirt.they are a belt factory nicks words not mine.they only care about you if you spend money.they dont care about the skills i have seen kids promoted that should have never been promoted.do not through your money away. i even had the instructor Jr tell me that what they teach now is no were close to the hard program that he learned when he was a kid in the program.it is a dumbed down program to take your money that will not teach your kid to survive if they need to defend them self.i have asked for a year for the owner to contact me i have never been contacted. they dont care.they have your money.

Championship Martial Arts does more than just teach a martial arts discipline. They truly care about the kids in the community and are constantly thinking of ways that they can be a part of a positively influencing their development.

As a parent, I highly recommend CMA Avalon. My son has flourished so much since starting there over two years ago. The instructors are amazing- truly outstanding individuals who are great role models for children to follow. They go above and beyond to ensure each individual childs success. My son has been active at this studio for 2 1/2 years. We absolutely LOVE all of the instructors that he has been blessed to work with. They have given him confidence in himself and hes made some great friends. Hes progressed through each level with hard work and lots of encouragement from ALL of the staff including Ms. Toni. Ive always felt that hes safe and well cared for while hes taking his lessons and during the frequent extra curricular events that the studio has. Even though our son started there when he was 7 years old - my husband and I have always been so impressed with how well all the instructors interact with the smaller kids. Its amazing how some of these young instructors have so much patience and a gentle manner when teaching the littles. The programs arent cheap, but you get what you pay for. All the instructors are at the top of their game and they encourage my son to strive for the same. Highly recommend!!

Awesome place to learn martial arts! My son and I have been CMA students for the last 3 years and we love it! Instructors are very knowledgeable and do a great job teaching to help us students learn / improve our martial arts skills. As an adult, I really enjoy going to the adult Martial Art classes. It is a great way to exercise in an indoor environment, learn about self-defense and interact with a group of peers where we try to help each other get better.

We have been part of the CMA family for almost a year and it has been a great experience. My son has grown and learned so much from the instructors. All of the instructors to the leadership students are amazing. They are always willing to take the extra time to help and are continually encouraging the students along. You can see the care they show for their students in their interaction with them. They know their students individually, not just as kids passing through. This is a great school to be a part of. We recently moved to Avalon Park from NY where my 7 year old was bullied for his small stature. We had always discussed putting him into some sort of martial arts training, and I am so happy we found CMA Avalon. From day 1 my son looks forward to his classes. With the new move, he had a rough few weeks shortly after the new school year started. The only thing he looked forward to was his classes at CMA. I truly believe it is what he needed to help with transition. It has been a great outlet for him.The instructors are amazing. We cannot say one is better than the other, they work great as a team and it is reflected in their instruction and love they have for giving back and teaching their students. The classes are engaging and a mix of exercise and skill and with every month focusing on character building.We look forward to being a part of the CMA family for years to come.

The younger instructors have been mentored through their process from student to instructor and I have had the pleasure of watching it for the past 7 years. The heart of the dojo lies with Miss Toni and Mr. Abid. Even when Toni moved away for a time, she was missed. Now that she is back, her dedication and love of her job is apparent every day. Mr. Abid is dedicated to the students as well. With the outreach programs to the schools and participation in local events, CMA is an asset to our community! We are blessed to be a part of it!
