My daughter attended for about 5 months. Some teachers were nice, but others were extremely rude. One told my husband that when I dropped off my daughter I should “smile more”. They were constantly short staffed, and the babies often went for long periods without being checked. The owner of the facility was never there. There was a strange teacher that would always be eating fast food while handling the children. The last straw was one day I noticed my daughter woke up from her nap and stood in her pack and play for about an hour, waiting for someone to pick her up and change her. She wasnt even yet a year old. When my husband got there to pick her up, and asked for an explanation, the teachers wouldnt even look at him. The baby’s diaper was full and heavy. That was our last day there. I would not recommend this facility to anyone - if you do decide to enroll, you need to keep your eyes glued to the cameras….which really doesnt make it worth it.

My three kids attend this daycare and they love it. They have small class sizes and the staff takes such good care of them. Tuition is due monthly or you can split them up into 2 payments. They offer sibling discounts. They are very communicative via the Remind app and they have been extremely flexible with our 5 year old’s childcare, as she is enrolled in after school care and for the occasional “drop in.”

Outstanding service!!!! I was very skeptical because I was coming from another child care facility where I had a horrible experience. Vivian was completely honest and reassuring. Everything she promised, she made good on. The staff is very welcoming, loving to the children and professional. This facility is very clean and organized. My daughter loved her teacher Ms. Martha. I will recommend this facility to anyone!

Overall, we are very happy here and will be putting our second in daycare here too. My son is well loved by his teachers and that is the most important thing for me. The only concern for us is that our son is very smart and may need a curriculum (and a more challenging atmosphere) than what he currently gets. However, kids learn best through play and he sure does play!

This appears to be a good facility with kind staff. I would highly suggest that the facility is more prepared to answer questions concerning vaccinations, and what is or is not accepted. It took about a week for me to get a response, and I am the one who continued to follow up. I work for child care licensing and I know what the federal standards are for child care centers. It is interesting to know that Ms. Romero will be changing policy based off of what appears to be a personal decision by her. Fortunately, this facility was not my 1st pick however its always good to have this information for other parents.

The staff at this daycare is kind for the most part. I really wish that the 2/3 year old class would have been more structured as I never actually saw evidence of any sort of real curriculum being carried out other than a lot of coloring. I do believe that my child was extremely bored In this particular class, which I feel accounted for some of the behavior issues we experienced there. Honestly, I just felt like my child was at an typical baby sitter vs an actual school everyday. The kids in this class always ran around rampant, my child included. Another thing was that far too many incidents occured with kids hitting and not getting along and I felt that teachers should have been paying closer attention in order to help prevent them. As a “teacher” you may not be able to catch everything but a lot of things can be prevented, if you’re actually monitoring properly. The child/teacher ratio was actually not bad at all there so a lot of incidents that occurred was a result of teachers simply not paying attention, in my opinion. There were several times that my spouse and I were called to pickup our child for reasons that we were led to believe were way out of control, only to arrive to find the situation very much under control and that the out of control issue would be “crying to much” or a simple nose bleed. This came off to us as lazy with no regard for our careers or time. Our child did have some behavioral issues as before mentioned, however even if our child would have been an absolute angel, he still would not have benefited much from being there as structure and curriculum are very much lacking. If those two areas were improved, I’m sure that this daycare would be really nice. I feel that this daycare definitely has great potential under the right management. The only reason that we did not remove our child from this daycare early on, is that we did absolutely feel that our child was safe there and we also knew going in that it would be only temporary and did not want to move our child more than absolutely necessary.

Our son has been with TGTA since he was 5 months old. As a first-time mom that didnt think I could trust anyone to take care of our son, The Growing Tree Academy exceeded my expectations. Ms. Regina in the infant room is one of the sweetest caregivers you will ever meet, and has a sharp eye for when the infants are not acting like themselves and may be getting sick. I always appreciated the detailed notes they took on what/when our son ate, napped, dirtied his diaper, etc. He has now moved up to an older classroom, and his teachers are kind, gentle, and patient - yet know how to get the kids to listen just by using the right eye contact and tone of voice. He comes home with new Spanish and English words each day.The tuition cost couldnt be beat when we initially explored other daycare options in the area. Now, you couldnt pay us to go elsewhere! The cameras are a bonus. I love being able to see what my son is up to when Im really missing him at work. The director and assistant director are marvelous people and excellent at addressing all concerns. They are the initial reason I decided to trust them with the care of our son, and the kind teachers are why I continue bringing him to and from school with peace of mind.Thank you, TGTA, for giving us a great experience every day.

I was really impressed with Ms. Romero when I first had a tour. But luckily I did a second tour before I enroll my kids. A teacher grabbed the arm of a boy and pulled him as he tried to get away. The teacher was angry because she asked the kids to sit on the table and he didnt. The room where it happened was the first class on the right side when you enter the daycare. And Ms. Ebonie who was standing next do me didnt say anything!

Moving to the area as I am now teaching in Alvin ISD- chose this daycare because of the 5-star review. Pricing is super competitive and Ebonie at front desk was helpful throughout registration process. Let me first say, my children only went one day because I found another facility I liked a lot better... The 3 year olds classroom teacher talked to me too long without checking or looking at the children to observe what they were doing which was worrisome. I would say her voice volume and annunciation was another put-off. When I picked-up my boys, the youngest had not slept (which is understandable given his first day) but also kept saying he was thirsty and wanted water. He was also sitting at the table alone when I walked in.Lastly, when I notified Ebonie that I found somewhere else that was a better fit- she said that the facility was unable to refund our registration fee although they had plenty of vacancies and we only went for one day (not even a full day). Although policy, I feel that this is unreasonable.Hopefully our next experience will be much better.

Our son has been going there ever since August 2017. So it has been over 3 months there. I believe I can provide a true and honest review at this point:I have not met the owner yet, but she did a great job hiring the staff she has. They are all very friendly, very nice and what is most important: they take good care of the children. My son who just turned 4, was not interested at first to practice any writing. And then, all of sudden, when he felt ready, and with the help and encouragement of Ms Liz, he started being more serious about it, instead of scribble-scrubbling. My son has learnt to count in Spanish and sings songs in Spanish and says words in Spanish. Love how he learns fast!Ms Dyesha is also one of my favorite teachers! She is funny and engaging. Love to start my days with joking around with her when I drop my son off(when I am not in my usual rush)!I love when I go pick him up in the evening and I am always welcomed by the warmth of Ms Ebony, the Assistant Director! She is funny and friendly! They might be understaffed, but they are able to manage and take good care of the children. The tuition is paid at the 1st of the month and it includes breakfast/lunch/2 snacks/drinks. They serve breakfast from 6am to 8am max. As they start splitting up kids into their assigned rooms around 8:30. They do provide a discount for siblings. And they also have before/after school pick up.When you register, if you sign few scary legal papers to waive any right for lawsuit im case of injury that is caught on camera blablabla, then you are given a username and password allowing you access to the classroom your child will be at, along with the common rooms (like after-school room and outside playground etc.) It is cute to check on kids during the day, if you have time. They also have a babies room where newborn and infants are taken care of. Never been there, but I know they have few babies in there, as I stumbled upon parents at drop off/pick up times.
