Words can’t even begin to describe the amazing experience that I had at Maxima School of Makeup Artistry. Salpie is not only a teacher and role model but she is a mentor who gets you ready the real world and of course the makeup industry. She teaches you techniques and etiquette that you will use for the rest of your life. Salpie is your own personal cheerleader and helps you lay the path you see for your future in the makeup industry. During the course you learn how to apply makeup with a variety of techniques, different styles and types of makeup, special effects makeup and so much more! I also had amazing hands on experiences where I was able to shadow or assist on photoshoots and movies. Going through her Maxima School of Makeup Artistry with others that have the same passion was so gratifying; I now have confidence as a makeup artist that I never knew I could have. I highly suggest Maxima Makeup School of Makeup Artistry!

This program is one of the best things that have ever happened to me. Throughout the course I met some girls that I will always hold dear to me and I met the best teacher and mentor I could ask for. Salpie is excellent at pushing her students not through the standard ways. She motivates you to want to succeed on your own. This course not only provides a thorough understanding of makeup artistry but it provides you with a great understanding of professionalism and ethics. It produces well rounded and knowledgeable makeup artists and connects you with amazing opportunities. I would not trade my time here for anything.

This program was such a blessing and great experience for me. Before I got started I was a little unsure of what type of make up I wanted to do. At Maxima School of Makeup Artistry I was able to learn everything from natural to glam, bridal and special effects makeup. Salpie is amazing at what she does and teaches! Thankful for all that she taught me in the makeup industry and skill sets to build my business and portfolio. Going to networking events helped me meet and connect with so many other professionals in the industry. My experience at Maxima helped me grow as an individual and professionally. Forever grateful for the skills and friendships I gained. Highly recommend this if you are looking to become a professional makeup artist, you will be taught by one of the best and learn a wide spread of skill sets. Salpie guides you and sets you up for success during and after you complete the program.

SCAM ALERT!!! Thankfully I never actually attended this school but I can guarantee you this is a scam. Salpie is very pushy about getting you to attend her school and acts like there are limited spots left and you have to enroll NOW or you’ll have to wait to get in. I was getting very bad vibes from her especially once she started talking about paying $100 for the application and how it had to be done now. She was all about the money and she even followed me to the atm when I went to take out the money. After talking to my family we all decided she had scammed me out of the $100 and she would try to get more. After I told her I had decided not to attend anymore she became aggressive and would call me so many times to try convince me to enroll. It was creepy as hell and I really advise you all DO NOT CONSIDER THIS SCHOOL. It is a scam and there are better schools out there that are legitimate.Edit: Read the other 1 star reviews. All the 5 star reviews are clearly fake. Do not waste your money and time.

Maxima is the best makeup school in Arizona! Salpie is up to date with all trends surrounding makeup and provides the best possible training. She also allows us to join the maxima agency once we have graduated from the program, that way we will have clients to work on! The makeup kit we receive is full of amazing products too! I love Maxima and refer all my friends their if they want to go to makeup school.

I would give this school a 10 star rating if I could. I have graduated from Salpie program and have been working ever since. She has taught me and showed me so much in the beauty industry that I have landed jobs on magazine, movies, runway, and more. Salpie teaches her students in every aspect from bridal, sfx, hair so that you will have a strong foundation in building your own portfolio and business as a makeup artist. You can even check my work and search for me on IMBD as well with other alumni 👩🏽‍🎓. I find it so funny in how people would discredit a school like this. People are trying to get in the program for free instead of paying for it, i wonder what they would do to be a regular college student not willing to pay for that either 🤷🏽‍♀️. Everyone of the reviews i have read and have met many who have written them because they value this school and what they learn from Salpie... nothing fake about me here. Check out my work it speaks for it self. Thank you for reading my review ❤️❤️👩🏽‍🎓

Salpie pushes her students to not only excel in their professional makeup careers but also in their personal goals and visions. Salpie creates an atmosphere that encourages woman empowerment and implements a sense of urgency when it comes to making dreams a reality.

Maxima makeup artistry is an amazing school! I also attended cosmetology school and can honestly say I learned nothing compared to what I took from Salpies (the owner) program! So glad I chose to get my makeup education here vs anywhere else. Not only did I learn the techniques to master my skills but I also learned how to network and manage the business side of it. Getting into film makeup was never something I had even thought about before attending these classes but Salpie helped open my eyes and show me all the avenues and possibilities available in the makeup profession. I realized how amazing it was working with a team of people all reaching for the same artistic goal and then seeing your talent come to life on screen! Had I not been given the opportunity by my instructor to go out and work on a few film gigs through her connections, I may have missed out on a lot! Ive been in the beauty industry 10+ years now and still believe this is the best place to go even after talking to other people who have attended different schools specializing in the field. Last thing I would like to add.... I noticed some people were complaining about the classes being small. Personally, I think I got a better education because I didnt have to fight 20 other classmates for the attention or help I wanted and needed to be successful!!!

I never give reviews but I felt compelled to do so because of how amazing this school is. These two random negative reviews are absolute lies. Unfortunately, there are always bad apples trying to ruin someones good reputation. If you want a unbiased and honest review, please read below:I attended and graduated from Maxima about a year ago. I came in to this school not feeling confident and a little apprehensive about my skills and what I would be able to achieve. However, I have to say that I was blown away by Salpie and her dedication to teaching me not only the technical skills to be a quality makeup artist, but she provides her invaluable knowledge regarding business, professionalism and how to have a thriving career. The class sizes are small so she can provide the individualized attention needed to be confident in your skills. Since I graduated I have really grown as a make up artist and have had some great opportunities. What I most appreciate about Salpie is her continuous love and support even after you graduate. She has provided helpful guidance to me when I wasnt sure how to approach or respond to a situation in the industry and its comforting to know Salpie has your best interest at heart. In regards to the makeup kit, I cant emphasis enough that I always get complimented on my make up kit by other make up artists every single time I work at an event. The make up kit is top quality and has EVERYTHING you need to be a successful make up artist. If you want to learn from the best, THIS is the place to go. If you still have questions about this school or the program, Id be happy to discuss.Thank you,Cristina B.

I attended and graduated from Maxima School of Makeup Artisrty about a year and a half ago. When I met Salpie everything I thought Id find in a makeup school Maxima was what I was looking for. Immediately Salpie made me feel comfortable. She was friendly, warm, to the point, confident and absolutely amazing. Salpie is a very knowledgeable and a very talented/well known makeup artist. She is a dedicated intructor/mentor and someone that truly cares about her students. At Maxima, you get small class sizes to ensure proper one-on-one time and you learn so much in a short period of time She makes sure you do things right and is always there for you when you have questions or need help with anything. Being a makeup artist takes a lot of work. Salpie helps prepare you and point you in the right direction. I believe Maxima gives you the real skills you need to help you start a career as a makeup artist. She continues supporting her students after they have graduated. The makeup kit is top quality and has everything you need to be a makeup artist. Thanks to Salpie, I now feel more confident in my skills. Thanks to her mentoring I was able to be a part of the makeup crew for fashion week, a short film, a red carpet event, etc...If you are looking for the best school to become a makeup artists, I highly recommend this school.

If I could give this school less than one star I would. I am very disappointed in Maxima School of what is so called makeup artistry. Clearly the one positive review that was written about this school was done by a close friend of Salpies because there is no way anyone else could write something good. First of all, the description on yelp and other websites says cosmetology school, dont be fooled, this is a film makeup preparation school, if you can even call it a school. $14,000 later and $5000 of that money supposedly put towards a state of the art makeup kit and I have learned absolutely nothing. I come to my first day of class in this school and I have one other classmate, not a single other boy/girl enrolled for this session, but with high hopes I continue.Starting off doing the same makeup for weeks and weeks on end switching back and forth, I practice on my classmate, she practices on me. The same incredibly simple makeup look, over, and over, and over again. Then suddenly we go 3 whole weeks without a single class because of Salpies so called health issues, which I assumed were real and put it in the back of my mind. Then suddenly I start to wonder, in order to reach the allotted hours we were promised and payed to learn for in this class we would have to make that time up right? Wrong. Not only did we not get that time made up but we lost even MORE time. Salpie showing up at least 20-30 minutes late to every class when the first thing she stresses in the beginning is to always be on time, hypocritical right? Then as the contract states, we will have class 3 days a week (Monday-Wednesday) from 10 am to 2 pm, HA wrong again. Assuming class started by about 10:45 when she finally showed up, let my classmate and I in and we got set up, she then let us go by 1 pm every day. How does that add up?Now, onto our state of the art kits. We pay $5000 up front before classes even start so she can build these kits. We do not get genuine makeup kits, we get what are maybe $60 rolling bags fromMichaels, but youd think shed be able to afford a $150 makeup kit with our $5000 that we each gave. Then if you look up the prices of the pallets she gave us which is incredibly easy to do with access to internet, you know that it all adds up to maybe $700, and thats IF you dont include her generous discounts that she gets on every makeup brand, and the fact that most of the products she gave us were sample sizes, so lets assume these kits were around $500. So where did the rest of the money go Salpie? We know shes not paying teachers for this because she personally taught every single class with the exception of maybe 5 that were voluntarily taught by alumni.I will say the only classes I did learn anything from were the special effects classes where she brought Amber in who taught me more in 2 days than I learned in 3 months with Salpie.Very disappointed.Would not recommend.Do not waste your time or money.

If I could give it negative stars I would. Total scam! I want my money back.Maxima School Of Makeup Artistry is a JOKE. The owner Salpie Tatka claims to be a celebrity makeup artist. Her makeup and teaching skills are not thorough nor are they up to date. I finished the course feeling like I hadnt learned much of anything nor did I feel she gave the instruction and feedback I paid for. Shes UNPROFESSIONAL and a total scam artist. .The makeup kit she provides is a JOKE. Her tuition price is RIDICULOUS. She charged half of the class $9600 and the rest $12,600 for no reason and was upset when we had discussed this info and found out what she had done..I wish I wouldve done more research before enrolling in her Makeup course. I feel scammed and wasted way too money into this program.Salpie Tatka claims to have many connections in the makeup industry. When you go in to discuss enrolling in her course she will convince you shes the best in town with a bunch of promises and stories! None of which she delivered. Shes a SNAKE.Shes unprofessional, she spent more time discussing her personal life and bad mouthing her past students.DO NOT waste your TIME and MONEY at Maxima School Of Makeup Artistry. Salpie Tatka is NOT professional NOR will you learn or land work by attending this course!!
