I decided to learn Krav Maga after a traumatic incident that I wish I had self defense knowledge for. I took the intro class and decided to give it a try. The best decision I have made in a long time. The instructors are great, the people are friendly, its a good workout and you are learning a lifelong skill. I highly recommend Alpha Krav Maga Scottsdale. Sam and Bert have been the absolute best instructors who clearly care about their students and improving their skills. As Ive gotten older, theres been a sense of insecurity when it comes to my family and my safety. Coach Sam and Coach Bert are extremely knowledgeable and have the awards, championships and certifications to back it up. They explain the why and they are very detailed with the fundamentals and the correct process. No shortcuts here, you want to learn the right way this is the place. This is all they do and they are passionate and take pride in their training.This is a great facility with 2 areas for Krav Maga and combat fitness classes.The environment is very welcoming, friendly and super clean! I started with AKM in Gilbert which also was excellent and moved to Scottsdale and could not wait to start here after taking a self defense work shop with Coach Sam there.The training is very well structured and they take the time to work with you on your technique and skill level.Lots of stretching and strengthening specific to the training and yes you will sweat! Great place to burn some steam and learn excellent Krav Maga ! Sam & Bert really take the time to help verbally and physically teach everyone so you feel like your getting one on one help with everything. The classes are reasonably sized and spacious. Great place. Very clean and professional. The instructors are world class. Sam and Bert make every class very interesting and educational. From the self defense classes to fitness classes, to kids classes there is something for everyone.

Wasnt sure what to expect when I decided to try a krav maga class. I had experimented with karate as a youth, but found it to be dull and impractical for real self defense. Alpha Krav Maga Scottsdale is the exact opposite - highly effective yet surprisingly intuitive self defense methods. The classes typically combine technique instruction and physical exercise. Real-world scenarios are practiced, such as how to respond to a choke, a bear hug, or an armed assailant. The instructors are very knowledgeable and have decades of experience in several different martial arts, in addition to their specialization in krav maga. I recommend Alpha Krav Maga to anyone interested in learning self defense or adding variation to their workout.
