Our 3rd grade son started at AMA almost on a whim. He and a friend enrolled in a class that was starting the very next day. We had no idea, really, what to expect, only that we wanted to provide some after school enrichment for him. This was a kid who loved video games and imagination, and really disliked organized sports. He thought his karate uniform made him look like Luke Skywalker, haha. This was an activity that grabbed his interest almost immediately. The class kept the kids focused and moving, all the while teaching them personal responsibility without them even realizing it. There is a very clear curriculum that incorporates both physical skills and universal values. With short term goals of each class and longer term goals of the program to be achieved, all earned on your own merit. He learned that the more focus and effort you put in, the more you’ll get back.He stayed with AMA all the way until he left for college.During his time he progressed through the juniors programs and into the teen programs; landing a coveted spot on demo team and ultimately being invited to join the staff. The benefits of the martial arts he learned in the AMA environment affected how he approached his school work. The skills he was taught as a staff member on how to teach kids and interact with adults, two very different skill sets, while he was on staff set him up well for future employers.(PS - Watching your kid go through black belt testing is intense!) (as a parent you see that your kid is capable of more than you even knew)(but yeah, there is a lot of amazing work that goes into achieving a black belt)

Went to a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu course at a 1045AM as a beginner. The class was great! The instructor Chris is very patient. The class size was small, 4 people so lots of individual instruction and critique. I was told by the owner the evening Jiu-Jitsu courses are similar in size. If you are new to BJJ and want to try this, I highly recommend this facility. They didnt require a gi for the first class.

I started going to alpha martial arts a few years ago and have nothing but absolutely positive things to say about the program. Every class I have taken (crossfit, kickboxing, and muay thai) have pushed me both mentally and physically in the best ways possible. Not to mention, all of those classes are great ways to get in shape. The coaching staff is incredibly motivating and supportive. Mr Herrman has created a wonderful atmosphere where everyone feels welcome and taken care of. I have continued going to Alpha, not only because of the rigorous workouts that are fun and challenging, but also because the community is simply irreplaceable. Whether you are looking to change up your workout routine, try something new, or just want a good kick in the butt, I could not recommend Alpha enough.

This is a review of their Chaisai Muay Thai Program, in particular the beginners classes. The classes were extremely large with very little floor space. This results in very little personal attention from instructors. For the most part they do not correct improper technique. The instructors are not particularly friendly. I trained there for close to 8 months and Im pretty sure the head instructor never even bothered to learn my name despite the fact that I was attending his classes 2 sometimes 3 nights a week. They may boast of having a world MT champ heading up their program, but I can tell you first hand that my skills have increased exponentially since switching schools and working with instructors who take the time to correct technique. I feel like I had to unlearn all the bad habits I picked up at Alpha. Perhaps these issues are taken care of in the advanced classes, but the whole experience put such a bad taste in my mouth I left before ranking up. I would actively recommend against training at Chaisai Muay Thai.
