I love my gym!!! Class today was extraordinarily awesome. The owner, Jeff, is a great coach. He pushes us to keep going and give more into our workout. Ryne and Craig are awesome coaches too! Theres plenty of class times to chose from for kickboxing and its pretty clean for a gym. Overall, Id recommend at least trying it for yourself...youll probably love it too!!

It was a cool experience and nice building overall. When it comes to working with you when things come up they really dont want to.Ive paused my contract and they still charged me and insisted on giving me a credit and some big shpeel about their system instead of just refunding me.The kickboxing was fun but too intense for my body so Ive chosen to go with Tai Chi and cancel but they havent returned my email which to me isnt professional.

I first joined 8 years ago and was pretty consistent going a few times a week until work and then relocation got in the way. Excited they are now in Decatur. The space is GREAT! Airy, bright and modern (not that I had issues with the old place). I love how much I get out of just one kickboxing class, full body workout and mental therapy. I also like seeing the same staff from when I first joined. It was nice how even after a prolonged absence I was remembered. Looking forward to many more years!

I came looking to try Jiu Jitsu for personal fitness and was surprised at how much I fell in love with it. Fortunately Unit 2 has top class teachers who know what they are teaching. Professor Jeff Boudreaux is the real deal! Beyond that they offer various martial arts, kickboxing..etc. They offer free classes so you can experience it risk free and find out what area you would like to pursue.

Unit 2 fitness was my first experience trying kickboxing and they made me love it! Everything about this gym, from the atmosphere to the entire staff/trainers is professional but friendly. They make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in the door while also training you to know exactly what you need to do to get the results you want! I am so bummed I moved, otherwise they would be my go to gym forever. Highly highly recommend checking them out!

I have been training at Unit2Fitness since 2016 with its striking program (Muay Thai, kickboxing). I have learned a lot since then and greatly improved my martial art technique, and physique. It has been a great experience and healthy routine for me to come to Unit2 several times a week. Jeff and Ryne are great people, passionate and professional. Jeff has been paying great attention to the experience at the gym and constantly striving to let people make the most of the gym. Especially during the COVID, he has implemented several social-distancing and cleaning routines that helps keeping the gym safe. Ryne has awesome personalities and his kickboxing classes are super enjoyable and rewarding. It is going to be even better with the gym relocating to Decatur, which has natural sunlight and bigger space. I wound recommend it to my friends and in fact I have already done so with two of my friends.

The community here is seriously incredible. The staff is down to earth and always wants to help you improve. The BJJ classes are some of the most fulfilling experiences Ive ever had and the instructors are fantastic. They know when to give you detailed instruction and when stay back and let you figure out your own way. This is a place to train, make friends and gain new skills. If you like no-BS approaches to training and genuinely friendly people this is the place for you. I have nothing but respect for the folks Ive met here. Go learn BJJ!

I’ve been a unit 2 member for over a year now and it was one of the best things that happened to me in 2020. Kickboxing helped transformed my body and confidence and I was in the best shape I’ve ever been. If you want personalized attention and good quality equipment this is the place for you. Jeff and Ryan are the best trainers out there and will do wonders with your body and confidence.Rahul

Unit 2 is a fitness community of kind, passionate, unique individuals. You will be greeted with openness and consideration when you show up for their kickboxing, cross-fit, or BJJ classes. The staff maintains cleanliness and safety procedures during these times which allows for a healthy experience.I cannot recommend this place enough, for they have supported me and all their other members beyond any other gym I’ve been to. They cultivate an environment where you can ask for help, discuss your goals, and celebrate your accomplishments. Try their free week but expect to stay because it truly is a lovely place.

I did CrossFit at Unit2Fitness for five years when they were located at the Midtown location. I absolutely loved the coaching, community, and personal attention as I started my fitness journey. I was someone who couldnt do a pull up when I started and can now do muscle ups. The results were amazing. Jeff is an extremely passionate and dedicated fitness professional and always willing to work with clients to help them achieve their goals. They are no longer continuing with CrossFit in the new location but wish them all the best!

Started training BJJ at the end of January and instantly became addicted. The atmosphere is unlike any other fitness gym I’ve been apart of in the best way possible. Coach Ryne helped me knock out my BJJ 101 classes easily by using his gift of being able to explain techniques to beginners in a way that is extremely understandable. I highly advise anyone who’s on the fence about learning BJJ or just wanting to get in shape to come in and try the free class they offer. It could change your life like it’s changed mine.

Small, but great gym. I had boxed in college and was looking for a boxing gym upon moving to Atlanta. Found this place in Midtown, went through the free week trial, and finally decided to sign up. The instructors are fabulous and the desk staff is nice. For the price of kickboxing ONLY, it is not bad, however the other classes are a bit pricey and the contract has a lot of limitations and rules. Due to my busy work schedule, I unfortunately am not able to make some of the classes on a consistent basis, so I wish there were more options regarding class times. The parking lot is also very limited and fills up quickly, so I recommend getting to class early.

Good gym. Took a trial class there and couldnt walk for a week was so sore. Be sure to warm up prior to the class and at least watch a youtube video on how to kick correctly. Being a newbie I didnt know and hurt my ankle. The coach was good but the routines are a bit of advanced if you have never taken a boxing or kickboxing class before.

Great training if you are 100% healthy and life is going smoothly. Need to consider the what if scenarios before signing their contract. They are not customer focused in trying to resolve issues, all about sticking you with the bill at the end of the day. Therefore they will convince you to sign a contract that is beneficial to them and then use that contract against you if any issues arise.I signed a 12 month contract (August 2015-August2016) after they recommended it despite me informing them that I was in the military and would have to leave at a moments notice. I soon realized I needed knee surgery and therefore could not use the facilities to train. After the 3 month freeze (they will not let you go longer than that) Unit 2 fitness continued to charge me the monthly dues (about $100) since I was under contract until my military orders came into effect. Without those they would continue to charge me despite me having medical statements from doctors and rehab therapists stating I could not use the facilities due to recovery.

I walked in here about 2.5 years ago on a whim and it changed my life. I really cant say enough good things about this place, the instructor, and the jiu jitsu community here. Jiu jitsu was a catalyst for being healthier in my life; mentally, physically, and spiritually. The coach, Jeffery Boudreaux, is a good man (sometimes hard to find in a profession predicated on violence), and dare I say... a friend. What can this jiu jitsu gym offer that no other gym can? Top notch instruction from a legit, tournament-winning black belt, who teaches every class. A great training environment for people of all body types and skill levels, and a small but enthusiastic and successful competition team if that is what you want to do. And most importantly, training partners that are warm and welcoming and will treat you like family.

Unit2 is a gym that is small, but mighty. Ive been a member since 2016 and have taken kickboxing but mainly sick to lifting weights and Crossfit. The coaches and trainers here are top notch - Im over 40 and find that they are able to make sure I am training hard but not going to injure myself, the coaches are very good at scaling and teaching good form - weather for beginners or masters athletes and everyone in between.I wanted to mention cancelations as it seems some reviewers had issues- My daughter did have a membership and I needed to cancel it. The cancelation process was really easy and not a hassle whatsoever. I just had to email the gym with a 30 day notice and they stopped the billing at the end of the 30 days. Unit2 is a great gym for anyone who wants to get fit in a no-frills atmosphere.

Ive been at Unit 2 since the end of 2011, and Ive been happy with the place. I came here for the jiu-jitsu. If you dont know, Roberto Traven is the BJJ instructor here. His team is a competition team that does quite well in tournaments. Many of Travens BJJ students win or place in the major tournaments.I saw that someone else left a bad review saying they were sent to collections when they tried to suspend their membership. Ive heard that a lot of gyms are notorious for not letting their members cancel or freeze their memberships, but Unit 2 has always accommodated me when I wanted to freeze my membership.

I will give it to you straight.Unit 2 is not cheap nor is it pretty. But you know what? When fitness is your priority those things should not matter. And Unit 2 is pretty awesome for that. You are not paying to walk on the treadmill for 3 hours. Nor are you paying for tons of mirrors to take selfies. Nor are you paying for folks to flex around the machines to talk about how hard they train. You are paying to work out with top notch trainers who train you to be as fit as they are. You are paying to work out with trainers who have a mixed martial arts mentality. That is NOT a LA fitness mentality. Its a way of life and they are serious. They help you, but they dont pat you on the shoulder and accept your excuses. And the gym is not pretty. Its not fancy machines or lockers rooms with saunas. Its a gym with a boxing ring, with heavy weights, barbells, kettlebells and a kickboxing ring with heavy bags. The back has mats for the MMA stuff which I dont venture into because I am not closely qualified for that stuff. There is kickboxing and crossfit for us normal folks. They offer:KickboxingCrossfitJiu-JitsuMuay ThaiYea the serious stuff. And other serious stuff.I recommend Unit 2 for some serious training. They focus on things like form, nutrition and getting healthy as a way of life. I remember once a trainer said to me regardless of what you do in the gym, if you cannot move your own body weight in a life saving situation, you are in trouble. I been hooked ever since.Oh and they have kids classes too. No, not a kids rooms, kids classes. Yesterday they were punching it out in the ring while I was kicking a bag. I can appreciate kids getting some real activity in their lives.
