HOFT is not just an Institute, is also a family. Staff and classmates are great. The English program is very good. I have studied a couple of years and my English has improved a lot. HOFT is the best English Institute in Austin.

Studying at Hoft was amazing. I really enjoyed not only classes with skillful instructors but also cultural experiences with many friends from all over the world. I especially liked the class taught by Blair. His lessons and corrections were helpful to me to move on to a better level!

Lengthy but worthy read ahead!I participated in the pilot session of HOFTs English teacher training program, and I am blown away by the standard of education I received. I had taken a couple of online TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) classes and certificate programs before but was nowhere near prepared enough to run my own classroom. I first approached HOFT to complete the practicum hours required by the online certificate program I was completing at the time. After finishing the base hours, I was given the opportunity to further my education a bit with them, through staying on as a volunteer conversation partner and then taking part in the English teacher training program. Through several weeks, the instructor and guest instructors took us through many different topics that may come up while teaching English as a foreign language and paused for discussion and questions, instead of just spewing information at the students. There was even an entire session taught in Mongolian so that we (the students) could experience what its like being in an intensive language class in which you understand little-to-nothing. I walked away feeling more prepared and ready to succeed in any English teaching job. This is a quality school for those wanting to learn how to teach English as a foreign language, or for those wanting to learn English. I highly recommend it!

Its such a great place if you want to learn English. the best thing that they have many classes in each level, so the students can have their opportunities to ask about every thing in the class. they take a really good care of their students and their attendance. the staff their are friendly and kind with the students. you can ask them about anything they will be happy to help you. I studied there for one semester and I saw the improvement by the end of the semester. I knew about them because many of my friends recommended them to me.

The teachers and staff at HOFT work hard to make sure that everyone feels included and supported in and outside of class. When you come to HOFT you aren’t just a lone student, you’re now part of a community. They set up events, activities, and clubs for the students to get to know each other better and to take a breather from the stress of work, class, and outside life. During Halloween there were themed events like pumpkin carving and a Halloween party, alongside the recurring ones, such as a work-out class, Korean Student Club, and more. During Thanksgiving there was a Thanksgiving party, plus the VP of HOFT took students who wanted to participate in the Turkey Trot (a marathon that gives 100% of the proceeds to support the homeless, working poor, and documented refugees in Travis County) to the marathon and participated with them. They also have conversation club, where the ESL learners have a chance to converse on their level with fluent English speakers to advance in conversational English. There are so many things to love about HOFT and the inclusive and supportive learning environment and community are no exception. This aspect of the institute makes HOFT shine even brighter among the other institutes in Austin.

I had an amazing experience, meeting people from everywhere and improving my English to its higher level. Besides that, the staff is also fantastic, they had been very kind and helpful. I hope one day I get the chance to go back to Austin and visit this awesome school!!

I strongly recommend the hoft institute. My learning experience was a valuable one and the staff was so amazing. After six weeks of trainings with one of their best toefl tutor (Nelson), i increased my score from 65 to 87 and by the way i got my desire score more easily. The staff at HOFT goes above and beyond to provide their services for students local and even international. Its rare to find an institute as dedicated to their work as they are! The staff is incredibly welcoming, friendly and always willing to help, especially with their remarkable testing and tutoring services. I highly recommend HOFT to anyone in need of extra assistance in those areas!

I can say without a doubt that the staff at HOFT genuinely cares about their students. Justin and Amrin specifically are extremely attentive and involved with making sure students are satisfied with their experience in the program. I am a student in their gamelab program, and I have found that they are extremely responsive to any needs or concerns that have occurred during my enrollment.

This is really one of the best services Ive used. I am a remote student at a university in Chicago and ended up having all of my exams proctored at House of Tutors. They were always super helpful and went out of their way to make sure I had a quiet private room. They always charged me a flat rate even though some of my exams were 3 hours long, and they even had someone proctor for me on a day they were closed when I really needed it. Cant recommend this place enough, they are great.

The HOFT Institute goes above and beyond for their international and local students. All of the staff here are very polite and willing to help you out with anything you may need. Would recommend.

Very good intensive ESL school with an experienced staff that works with all languages and nationalities

House of Tutors was the ESL school I attended and graduated from; it gave me a scholarship to study English as a second language. I came to the US with almost no English, but after seven months studying English in this school, I was able to apply for St. Edward’s University and join the Master’s program of Organization Development. I do not consider my relationship with this institution as a formal relationship, I always consider it as a family relationship.

The HOFT Institute is positive learning environment for students of all ages depending on their educational needs, and staff and teachers really make you feel at home with their hospitality and politeness. This is a great learning institute!

Great tutors and super nice staff! I had my tutoring session written down for the wrong time but when I showed up they were very kind and accomidating and let me reschedule for later that same day.

I had the best teachers that Ive ever met in my life , and the staff are very friendly and helpful especially the boss she knows herself !!The only problem that I noticed is that the numbers of Saudis student are too much.
