Karate for Kids is such a friendly environment and establishment. Both Shaun and his wife Jennifer are beautiful people and have passion for Karate, their pupils, and the quality of work put into each class. Both Instructors are helpful in so many ways and make Karate fun and the goals attainable. No use looking anywhere else for affordable and high quality Karate when Karate for Kids is the only place in my book!!!

This is one of the best family owned karate places. They pay good attention to the family dynamic and work very hard to make sure that your child does well. It’s an investment for their future. Also very helpful when you have children who need a little extra discipline, because they give you a safe place for your child to grow. 5 🌟

Mr. and Mrs. Simpson along with their son Mr. Putnam. Are perfect role models for our kids today. Their professionalism and strive to create a healthy, safe and “strong” place of business is key which they show and demonstrate to each and every kid that walks into those doors...bows and says “Hello Sir, Hello Ma’am”. My son has been doing martial arts at Karate for kids since August, 2017. He loves the physical part, by I definitely love the discipline, character and respect that Mr. and Mrs. Simpson teach him. This is a great program!

Ive been an adult student with Mr. and Mrs. Simpson for 13.5 years. Sure it was awkward to start in a class with kids much younger than me. But going through the color belt ranks, I did have other adults and teenagers to look up to. I made it to first-degree black belt... and then I kept going. I just tested for my fourth degree. Being a martial artist is a journey and there is always more to learn.Im impressed that our black belt class keeps growing. We havent had this many before and that is very encouraging to see.Being a black belt isnt easy, nor should it be. The expectations are high; so are mine of myself. Im always finding ways to incorporate the life skills and black belt attitude into my personal and professional life. Heck, Id say Ive learned more about leadership in black belt class that I have in formal classes.Its easy in todays world to feel inadequate and to have others perception of you determine your own self worth. A black-belt attitude has helped me overcome those feelings many times.I can only echo what other parents have said. Ill be bringing my kids here for martial arts training when they are old enough.

We started training with Mr and Mrs Simpson when my son was 8. He was having so much fun, I decided to join him! We attended until we both received our Black Belt II. The lessons we learned regarding leadership, discipline and overall defense are still used today. I highly recommend Karate for Kids.

We love Karate for kids! My son is making a lot of progress in discipline, self confidence and fitness, safety and self defense. He enjoys the class very much.

My 6 year old son gained a lit of great knowledge from Karate For Kids. He learned what discipline looks and feels like and the rewards that come with it. While they did learn karate, he also learned other great self defense tools for a little kid.

We have been very pleased with the improvement in our son in self -control, politeness, and focus since starting Karate for Kids. I like that the training emphasises self defense and how to prepare for, and respond to, bullies. Mr. and Ms. Simpson are excellent instructors and my son has enjoyed their humour and benefited from their high expectations.

Our kids enrolled in the black belt program at Karate for Kids when they were 5 yrs old. In addition to learning the various forms of self defense and sparring techniques, they learned life skills. Mr. and Mrs. Simpson taught our youngsters how to have self control and confidence, as well as core values such as honesty, integrity and respect. The taekwondo classes helped expend much of their energy and gave them a sense of calmness.

These are wonderful, kind people who are great at what they do. They work with passion and from the heart. I dont hesitate to recommend them!

My grandson has attended Karate for Kids for 3 years. I was surprised at the benefits learned with the martial arts skills. He learned respect for authority, self-discipline, confidence, leadership and fitness. He is continuing to attend after having earned his black belt to work on his second degree black belt. It has taught him the important life skills.

After three years within the ATA organization, one of those being in another city and state, I am thoroughly impressed by the skills these students learn and demonstrate(particularly at this Beaverton location). Self honor, discipline, strength, respect and honesty are merely some of the characteristics learned and reinforced on a daily basis. The instructors love what they do and demonstrate their passion in every training session. The facility is always clean and well kept. Beyond all this, my child absolutely loves going into class every week and looks forward to seeing classmates and instructors. I feel as though the offensive/defensive skills learned in the early stages of training are equaled by the carachter building traits mentioned earlier. Bottom line is that I plan to continue the course here and I would encourage any and all other to do the same. Kid tested, parent approved.
