I’m very disappointed with the customer service the director and staff offered at Lords little army. I was contacted by a staff member to inform me that my son would be able to join the fall season for preschool academy. We discussed fees, I mentioned his birthday when I put him on the wait List in May. Also I had a discussion when she called back about how he cannot make it into the public school system this year because he was short of 5 days since his birthday well on Sept 5th. The staff member confirmed his orientation appointment. I unregistered him from the Pre-K program he was enrolled as this fit our budget. We met up at the school on the day of the appointment only to be informed that they have strict policy about how they follow BA school calendar for birthdays and he would not be able to attend the 4 year old class. There was no opening in the 3 year old class, which I thought wouldn’t be age appropriate for him. I was willing to let it go as a incidence of miscommunication. I’m aware of professional mishaps and everyone has an off day. It would have served the school better to admit it. But what turned me off was that instead they began to defend their staff member and said she’s been in the team for years and would never make a mistake like this. They assumed I was lying in hopes to get my son in. At the end of the day, it’s professionally ethical to accept the customer is always right. I’m not sure I would recommend the academy only because of the way they handled this situation. It makes me doubt how they would handle other parent-teacher conflicts.
