10/10 Recommend this school for anyone looking to get their Natural Hair/Braiding license. Ms. P is the teacher for that course & she is absolutely AMAZING. Hands down best teacher/person I’ve ever met. Going to this school, I definitely learned a lot and not only about hair. I learned how to be more confident and to stop second-guessing myself because, I got this. I’ll forever & always be grateful for this school!

They took there time and did a excellent job. But when I got home my ponytail came off. I hope they can fix there mistakes

The staff and students were very professional and friendly. Ive been to various hair schools, but this one tops the cake for specializing in black hair care. For those interested in attending the school, the staff try to teach students practices in helping people with natural hair to care for it in the best way possible. It was a plus to learn about the history of its school and the owner. Truly honored to visit this gem in Chicago.

I went to the shop yesterday i got the same service as last time but it was 15 dollars more. I was over charged should have said something.

Was looking for someone who could just braid my hair I called the school of Beauty Culture The instructor Miss P recommending a treatment for my natural hair it is call Pacome. It works wonders you will get such great service from Leslie Vivian Layla even the owner Dr. D is Very nice lady to talk with years of experience of natural hair relax hair and it’s black owned if you are having problems with your hair growing this is the beauty school to go to I will continue going there check it out you’ll love it five stars from me

I am currently a student here and I love it!! I chose this school because of Ms. Dixons story. After talking with her I knew that Your School of Beauty Culture is where I wanted to attend. The ladies here are very knowledgeable about the industry and always willing to help and teach you new things. Ive only been here for a month now but Ive learned so much in this little length of time!! So before I end this I just want to say that Im really looking forward to the road ahead & every new opportunity for me!

They are an amazing salon. I went for my birthday to get ”sexy”. I will be returning for the great service.

I will never come here again. I called & inquired about walk-in and the price of a haircut. She seemed uncertain about the cost of this haircut. I walked in and they made me feel very uncomfortable. Trying to push me off on each other as if Im some 2yr old. I went to Supercuts (my regular shop) . I will continue to patronize them. Its sad when your kind can be so rude.

I found the best beautician that i have ever had. Her name isMildred Dixon. i was recomended to her when the person who was supposed to do my hair was not able to do it.thank God for her.

I am currently a student here and I love attending here! Every instructor is professional and have their State License posted for every client to see! I am a Nail student on scholarship and a soon to be Esthetics student going into 2017! The school has been in the Bronzeville community for YEARS!!! Dr. Mildred Dixon and Miss Lily C are well respected in the Beauty Industry and the Community! Their grand daughter/niece Miss P, is doing a great job as leadership and maintaining their legacy. I never dread a day going to class! Those ladies need their own reality show because they are a HOOT! Full of Positivity, Love, and a whole lotta YEARNING FOR SOME LEARNING!!!! The school is affordable and FREE PARKING for the WIN!!!!~@SASSSBEAUTY
