We have been attending this lovely little school for 9 years! When we started we were within walking distance and we were looking for a place that would teach kindness and community to our preschooler. We now live 20 minutes away and my KIDS made me promise that we would not switch to a new school. They are happy to wake up early for our commute. In our time at OLMCA the school has received the Blue Ribbon twice! The test scores are consistently high and the students who graduate, not only get into the top rated high schools in the city - but they continue to succeed though their high school journey.As parents we have integrated ourselves into the school community and participated in the many social activities available to both parents and children. Our children have made great friendships and been mentored by the wonderful teachers and staff.The efforts that went into e-learning in the spring of 2020 were truly remarkable. Our kids continued to learn and be engaged despite the remote reality. This school year - we are blessed that our school offers both in person and online learning. They are going above and beyond to ensure our students remain safe during this unprecedented school year.We are so thankful to have found this school and the amazing families that love it as much as we do!

It’s Catholic Schools Week and I can’t express enough how much we love and appreciate the teachers and staff at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Academy Chicago. This school and community were special prior to the pandemic and they have been even more AMAZING educating and caring for our kids in-person throughout the pandemic. If you are tired of the CPS drama check out OLMCA - I guarantee you will love it!

Both our children attend OLMCA and we are all very happy with the experience! Class size is small, teachers are wonderful, great leadership, and there is a real spirit of community amongst the parents! We are very glad to be a part of this! The pandemic response in the spring was set up quickly and worked well-virtual classrooms, e-learning resources, engaging teachers...win win win

Please don’t wait or second guess taking your child or children to OLMCA. My children were at a nearby public school and we are so glad we made the change. We love the school, parish and parents who make up this community.. The teachers and admin staff are outstanding. Our children have flourished academically and socially.

I am without enough words to share how much OLMCA means to my children and family. It is so much more than a school. It is a community a resource and a support network. My children are in 7th and 4th grade. This school has been a treasure in our lives. In my opinion the best school in Chicago! From education to after school clubs, student council, sports, there really is a way for kids to try everything.

Our children have been attending OLMCA for the last 6 years. We commute 30 mins by choice because once we found this school, it was a perfect fit for our family. The teachers and staff care tremendously for the students and their families. The community is close knit and down to earth which is a great contrast to living in a big city. The school has won the National Blue Ribbon twice and I have complete confidence in the academic performance of the school. OLMCA has really stepped up to the plate during quarantine with excellent e-learning resources, teacher availability and individual attention. The home school experience has only strengthened my confidence in the school.

Amazing school and great staff!Our son transferred mid-year from a school in Georgia. He loves it at OLMCA! The teachers and staff are excellent. They went out of their way to communicate with me before our move. I went to this school for 9 years and graduated in 2018. OLMCA is a smaller school and I think thats absolutely perfect. Everyone knows each other and students + staff are like family. The people there are very nice and the teachers are so helpful and know what they are talking about. Im currently in high school and have very high grades and thats thanks to everything I learned at OLMCA. I still visit the staff and students with some of my friends because we all miss each other and the school itself so much. This place is truly another home for students and you can tell that the teachers really care about the students. I still love this school so much and am so happy to call this place my elementary and middle school. Thank you for everything :)

Great school with great teachers. They really know how to teach your kids and prepare them for high school.

This is the school I went to for grammar school and it was both a fun and pleasurable experience. The teachers here are extremely nice and I loved nearly every moment I was there. The staff here is amazing and all the people Ive met here treated everyone with kindness. This is a great Pre-K through 8th school and I highly recommend it.
