As a Talent Manager and being in the Entertainment field for over 30 years, I can say they are the best. (As well as being a Mother of two daughters who have gone to MAC) I have seen the results this studio and its Teachers can produce. It is amazing. These instructors are the absolute best in the business and we are lucky to have them in Cincinnati.

Karl Resnik knows more about the tenor voice and how to develop it than anyone Ive ever known. Ive been taking lessons as an adult for a few years now, and I learn something new each week!

The Musical Arts Center and its team of superior instructors are wonderful to work with. By studying with MAC founder Karl Resnik, Ive been able to take my vocal technique to new heights and apply this additional knowledge to my work in the theatre and in my freelance vocal performance, voiceover work, and more.

I am a faculty member of The Musical Arts Center, and I have my MM in Voice Performance and Pedagogy. I am extremely proud of the quality of teaching, as well as the character of those I work with and for. The teaching at MAC is top-notch, with a kind and caring heart for each and every student. The quality of the vocalists produced here is astounding. To do what these teachers do so consistently is something that should be applauded. That is why I am a proud member of the faculty. Young voices need patience, knowledge and care as they grow. MAC is one of the most pedagogically sound schools you will find. Not only do the students learn healthy technique from quality instructors, they also consistently place highly at competition, and get into quality university programs.

Karl & Sam are the best! Bekah in the office is a pleasure to work with. They helped get my son ready for college auditions, and now he will be back this Summer to have continued training!

Troy Wright has been a great mentor and teacher for my sons musical aptitude. Troy has enabled my son to surpass our expectations in his guitar skill development. Our son enjoys every minute of the lessons hes had weekly for the last three years, and we absolutely will continue lessons for many more years to come!

I began taking voice lessons with Kathy Cammett in early September, and within the past two months or so of working with her, I have noticed a tremendous improvement in the overall quality of my singing voice. She is a wonderful teacher and has given me a lot of tips and tricks that have greatly improved my technique. I highly recommend taking lessons from Kathy, or any of the wonderfully talented staff at the MAC, to anyone who is considering taking music lessons.

My daughter has worked with Troy for six years. He has been such an inspiration to her. His positive outlook makes her want to improve her skills. She absolutely loves her lessons with him. The amount of growth I have seen in Morgan since she began with Lincoln as a freshman is amazing! Her vocal range and abilities have expanded and become so much stronger but the most important part is the confidence she feels. Both of my daughters spent a combination of over 10 years taking lesson with Marilyn Zelcer at the Musical Arts Center. She is an excellent voice teacher and has a gift for bringing new singers to their fullest potential. I highly recommend her studio. Both girls also were members of YAPP with Lincoln. Again, I highly recommend this program. Their singing and performing skills improved tenfold under his direction.

Logan began taking voice lessons from Karl Resnik about 2 years ago. Karl has helped Logan develop, not only as a strong singer, but also as a very fine young man. Between voice lessons, piano lessons and YAPP, the entire staff at The Musical Arts Center has always gone above and beyond to make sure Logan has the confidence, skills and resources he needs to succeed. Through all of the recitals, competitions and auditions, Karl and the rest of the music educators at MAC have been a constant support to Logan. And the accompanists are second to none! My daughter has been taking voice lessons at Musical Art Center for several years. All the instructors are super talented. Right now she is taking lessons with Kathy Cammet and she is wonderful. She has improved a lot. She is also doing the YAPP program with Lincoln Chapman and he is great. Marilyn Zelcer and Linda McCalister are also great teachers!

The Musical Arts Center is outstanding.My son studied with Karl Resnik for 3 years and with Lincoln Chapman for a year, plus 2 years in YAPP. The preparation was excellent. As a result, he was selected as a member of the Cincinnati Opera chorus at age 16 and for college went to the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, majoring in vocal performance.

My daughter has been studying voice with Karl Resnik at the Musical Arts Center (MAC) for about 10 months and she loves her lessons with him! We came here because we had heard of Karl and his school’s excellent reputation, and they have truly exceeded all our expectations. Not only has Karl really helped her grow & improve her vocal technique, but he continues to instill in her the confidence and skills that are so important to a young person. He is very nurturing and encouraging, and we are so lucky to have such a talented teacher who loves what he does! Karl and his teaching team (Lincoln, Marilyn, Roz, Elena, Kaylee and others), also do an amazing job preparing students for competitions and auditions. Lastly, my daughter loves being a member of MAC’s Young Artist’s Preparatory Program (YAPP), one of the only high school opera programs around, led by Lincoln Chapman.Overall, a fabulous place to study music with great teachers - our only regret is that we had not started here earlier - highly, highly recommend!

The Musical Arts Center is a fabulous place to study music, develop your talent and have fun! There is no other place in Cincinnati that provides such expert training in a nurturing environment. My son, James, studied at the Musical Arts Center for six years. During this time, he took voice lessons from Karl Resnik, was coached on languages by Elena Kholodova, participated in the Young Artists Preparatory Program directed by Lincoln Chapman, studied piano with Roz Resnik and took electric guitar from Troy Bausch. James entered Juilliard this fall as a freshman in vocal music. James is at Juilliard due to the wonderful coaching and encouragement he received from the teachers at the Musical Arts Center. I highly recommend the Musical Arts Center for anyone who has a child interested in music.

Seeing negative reviews of the Musical Arts Center is very frustrating. I suppose there is a petty personal grudge behind this persons actions? And the choice weapon for cowards seems to be the internet post. So here are my two cents:Im a professional musician with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and have daughters who wanted to study privately. Entrusting them to music teachers could have proven difficult--then we found Karl Resnik, a genius of voice instruction with a love and passion for young people! What a tremendous blessing. Everything Ive heard, from the summer Young Artists Preparatory Program (a one of a kind opera scene intensive for high school students led by Lincoln Chapman) to the summer musical theater program (led by former Assistant Conductor of the CSO, Vince Lee)--all of it is performed at the highest artistic level. NOT TO MENTION THAT WHEN I ATTEND KARL RESNIKS LESSONS AND MASTERCLASSES--I LEARN!My two cents.
