Alex is the real deal he is a world champion in life as well as jujitsu. He provides a great example for the kids and is always professional. Definitely one of the best bjj schools in texas and a great over all martial arts program.

I stayed in Dallas for a few days for business and wanted to stay fresh and train. I researched a few academys in the area and Alex Martins BJJ showed at the top of the list. It took a minute to find the location because Google Maps sent me to the main street side of the building but I was able to find it when I found Beatrice St. The parking lot was deceiving because as soon as I walked into the door I was mind blown at the facility. This was definitely the most beautiful and professional jiu jitsu gym Ive ever trained at. Its thing you only see in UFC embedded shows! I took a 12pm class that was taught by Alex Martins himself. The way he teaches is the best in the industry. His ability to break everything down and keep everything simple and focused makes memory retention so much easier. I also took a private class from Professor Max. This was one of the most valuable private classes Ive ever taken. He helped me tune up my half guard game from the bottom that will forever change that position for me. I cant thank Alex Martins and his top staff for keeping me active while in Dallas and the professional service and communication. When Im back in Dallas again 100% Ill be coming back. Also Alex Martins is a top competitor and world champion so you know you are getting the best of the best at this academy.

This has been our first experience in martial arts with our 6 year old and we have been so happy. The coaches are wonderful with children. Such a fine balance of teaching discipline along with having a good time. I would recommend this for boys and girls of all ages!

We make the 30 min drive just for our son to attend classes. I did tons of research and havent found anything close to what this place has to offer. Instructors are the best and have extensive knowledge working with children. The kids classes begin with workouts, move into training, and end with games. You can definitely see the bonding between all involved in the program.

I had really bad experiences in the places I visit and I can tell you that he is the best Jiu-Jitsu teacher in town. My son (5yrs) has only been going here for a little over 3 months but hes already learned so much. All of the coaches are awesome with the kids. They are especially patient and extremely compassionate with all of the little ones (some as young as 4).Professor Alex does an EXCELLENT job of teaching the young kids Jiu Jitsu and everything that comes with the training. The respect for the sport is always emphasized and instilled throughout practice. This is a great training environment for all levels. I was welcomed with open arms and treated with the up most respect. The schedule works great for everyone with many different classes throughout the day. Attention is given at a group level but independent instructions will be provided for anyone struggling on a move. The teachers are patient and go through every lesson thoroughly so that everyone is able to understand and replicate easily. Advanced members make sure that newer individuals are getting in the training they need and provide tips on how to execute a move. Overall great atmosphere!

I was in town for a week and needed a place to train nearby. I saw Alex Martin’s gym and the reviews looked excellent. I contacted the gym and was offered a free class. The location is extremely clean and beautiful on the inside. Alex himself came out to introduceHimself to me and to make sure I was comfortable. Class was great, the students were very kind to an outsider and I could not have asked for a higher quality of training. I will definitely go back for additional classes and for some private training.

The facility here is lively and full of energy! The kickboxing class is exciting and everyone is really cool and nice. I always leave here with a good sweat and a great laugh! I recommend again and again and again! 2 thumbs up!!

After a few trials at different establishments this was clearly the best choice for our 5 year old.

We came to AMBJJ while we were in Dallas for the week. What an amazing school to train, the kids did both Gi and NoGi. They have a huge kids program with amazing coaches, Professor Alex taught both the Gi and NoGi classes.. The kids were challenged and pushed to perform through the whole class.

AMBJJ has been a great experience since our daughter started classes. They’re engaged and classes are perfect sizes for one on one interaction to truly teach the kids the fundamentals.

I have traveled all over the world and this is by far one of the coolest jujitsu gyms I’ve ever been to. Does not matter if you’re already a champion or just starting out great vibes good positive energy and super clean. Exactly how you want it!!!!

My girlfriend and I take kickboxing here and her son takes Jujitsu. This is a great spot. A lot bigger than I expected. The trainers are very friendly and professional. We cant speak for the adult Jujitsu classes, but our 5 year old boy LOVES the kids class. Theyre great working with kids.My only issue is that the powerlifting gym that occupies the same space overlaps with the kickboxing area and things can get a bit crowded, but that may just be a temporary issue.
