This education and all the help I got from Lincoln tech was exactly what I was wanting from life. I am all set with an amazing job in welding and fabrication at western industrial contractors! I couldn’t have done it without everyone helping me! Special shout out to Mr. Lopez for pushing me to be the best welder and always picking me up when I was down and when I finish my education the help from Joyce in job services was outstanding! Didn’t give up on me and is the reason I am at this job now. I love everyone at Lincoln and I hope other people see this and join their programs to succeed like I have. Thank youπŸ€™πŸ½

The school has amazing teachers that actually make an effort to help you. Mr Starr has been by far one of my favorite teachers. He teaches several classes but his basic electrics class has been very helpful. He will go out of the way to help any student that needs help. The school offers a lot of hands on training and we even get the chance to work on our own vehicles. Feels good to be getting back to normal and experience the feel of how the school is actually ran. Great school with a great night diesel program and great staff.

The welding department at Lincoln Tech of Denver has a lot of advantages. The teaching staff is awesome- Brian Bennett, Shane Kohn, Robert Rabino, Joel Lopez, Jerrod Brown, Joe, Todd. These guys have worked in the industry and they can answer almost every single question you could have. The facilities are top notch. There was always plenty of space to work. Plenty of welding machines to go around. And they were always stocked up on the necessary supplies for stick, MIG, and TIG. When it comes to learning how to weld, having the right tools and supplies is crucial. Lincoln supplies every student with a laptop and all the necessary tools a welder carries. The program was 7 months. The first month or so is all safety stuff and general theory of welding. After that, it’s pretty much all classroom time. I should say that with Covid, we had alternating days online, so I felt we got a lot more theory than we would have in previous years, but I think that’s a good thing in the end. Lincoln did a great job and adapting to covid and keeping students engaged while working from home online. Career services also does a great job. The welding department’s student rep, Joyce DeSantis, runs a tight ship helping students with resumes and job placement. Lastly, the Dean of Education, Dwayne Isbell, and the President of the school, Kelly Moore, both personally made themselves available for me when I needed them. I highly recommend Lincoln Tech of Denver. I definitely feel like my education from here is going to take me a long way. Oh and I got a job offer before I even finished school.

When I say dont go here unless you have the money to waste I mean it. My 1st experience there when enolling was I wanted to do wedding. The recruiter knew I was a young artist. So he took me over to the autobody side. He talked me into doing autobody instead of welding which is about 25% more money to pay for. I dont think the instructors are bad people they work with what the school and government will give them. But I should have never listened to the recruiter. Autobody is a demanding industry and the only reason I got a job was because they outsourced to another state for their employment services. The outsourced employee did the job in 2 days what took the regular assigned career services person a year to not do the assigned person kept sending jobs I was not qualified for even after I told her that the only thing she was sending me was 2 years experience plus. Most shops know the quality of the school so they dont count that experience as a full year even. The only reason she was persistent is because the school was being audited. They called the shop Im at now on accident. When I was in school the pandemic hit. There was cut time and the school never made up for it even though I paid full price. There was 20+ students in each class so maybe a 3rd of them could learn at a time before the pandemic. Poor experience over all. If I choose to do welding I will not be going to Lincoln.

Todd was a sexist and condescending instructor. If I would ask him a question in class he would say things like, β€œThat’s common sense.” Of course it’s common sense to him. He been welding for 15+ years. I just noticed he treated me dramatically different than all the other male students. Welding is already a male dominated career. He did not make me feel welcome or safe as a women in the welding world. Just wanted to say thank you for making my first introduction into welding as a women a very uncomfortable and unwelcoming environment.

My experience with Lincoln Tech was definitely a limit pushing journey. I learned a new quality everyday, an even qualities about myself I never knew I had. I learned time management, professional, patience, I learned to be observant an to never settle for the little picture in front of me. An so much more. My instructors were great, but above all Jesse Ramsey showed me the most an all that I needed to know during my last course. The most important qualities he showed me were realism, an to relax an take things one step at a time but never stop pushing until everything falls into place. Never stop working hard, it doesn’t matter what you do it matters how to take pride in it. Last but not least, I want to give the hugest shout out to my Representative John Vasquez. From high school, to college he has been with me every step of the way. He is loyal an very persistent, he made sure I stayed motivated at all times, an wanted to keep me on top of my A game. He never stopped pushing me , an he still continues to push me. If anybody has the chance of having this man as there Rep , they are in great hands! He’ll push you in a direction that won’t fail you, it will teach you to be responsible an take action. This School has sculpted me into a woman I never knew I was capable of being. Do As I Say Not as I DoWelding program & Pipe ProgramAll in all Lincoln Tech Denver is just like the other for profit colleges I have been to. There are flaws in everything and everyone.Too often here have the upper management shown inconsistencies and out of touch in their part of interacting with students. Many students were asked by management at one point to sign a paper offering us an opportunity to speak out for issues that we have at the school. This never happened so our hopes of improving the school through our suggestions and constructive criticism fell very short and without explanation.During enrollment I and others were told that after the program we would be certified welders. This is honestly a lie. You are not a certified welder, you gain NCCER (which hardly anyone even cares or knows about in the real world) certifications through online testing for knowledge based book work. The only reason I didnt give Lincoln Tech 5 stars was for 1 reason only. That 1 reason is a teacher named Ramsey. Ramsey goes unchecked with his terrible attitude and bullying style of teaching that shocks many of us students in that he is still employed. We (many students) have verbally spoke to the dean about his behavior and nothing seems to solve his lack of empathy or his constant whining about his personal issues that we never asked to be apart of. I didnt enroll to hear sob stories and be forced to look at his pill bottles in some deranged attempt to manipulate us into doing what he demands we do. Leave your personal issues at the door.If it werent for Ramsey this would have been a 5 star review.I have nothing but good things to say about these teachers as they personify what an instructor should be like. I am not saying they dont have their flaws but their excellence in teaching is undeniably high end.Brian Bennett was the first teacher I started off with. Not only does he strike a neutral respect with students but is a great listener and will take his time in teaching you and show you several different ways along the way. Thank you Mr. Bennett for all your hard and patient work you do every day.Joe is probably the #1 teacher in that you can expect the same standards every day from him. That always brings me confidence as a student to go to him with my problems in welding. He is very knowledgeable in seemingly all aspects of welding. His confidence does not rub off as arrogance but as something he wants to pass on to as many people as possible.I really appreciate your stable attitude Joe, thank you for everything.Todd is a wizard at welding and will give you honest feedback on how to improve your welding. You can always ask him for a real world perspective. He will not talk over you and will answer you to the best of his abilities or he will go research the issue or question and get back to you on it.I greatly appreciate everything Todd.Mr. Lopez is the jack of all metal. If you dont mess around and respect the time he takes to show you how to do something he will gladly give you new constructive advice each time he helps you. He has his stories but hes got a genuine heart to help students grow throughout their time at Lincoln Tech. So thank you Mr. Lopez for being the right amount of tough and fair.

I am going to tell you all the story of how i wanted to better my career. It all started out when i was sitting in my car, before work, hating that i was wasting my life. I knew that i loved working with cars, and on cars. so i started to look into what exactly i could do to go learn. when i came across Lincoln tech, i knew this had to be the place, and i got so excited that this was going to be the changing point in my life, i went and enrolled in school. When the first week of class was over i knew something was wrong, but i couldnt put my finger on it. going through the classes each month was a joke. being a 4.0 GPA and a almost perfect attendance, i felt like the training we got was not going to be enough. and i was starting to feel that i wasted all my money for a school like this one. one where i needed to help teach other students. and where the students themselves were saying that the teachers just dont know what they are saying or doing. and i agreed with them. and another big issue is that Lincoln likes to claim that they have some of the best equipment to be learning on. which is sorta true... they have one new piece of equipment, for 30 plus students, and its set up to where only a hand full can learn at one time. meaning that not everybody gets the same training. its terrible. an actual joke that you have to spend that much money. and they claim that they will help you get a job, which they dont really do. they get you jobs in terrible shops. so far away that it would not make any sense to get a job there. i have a job as a body tech, only because i got it for myself. the school did not help me one bit. and then with this whole corona virus stuff it made everything worse. i do not recommend coming to this school and wasting your money. the two best things i got from this school was my discounts on tools, and the 2 certifications i got. that is it. its not worth 24 grand to come here

Let me be clear right from the start that my review concerns only the school and the value itself, not the welding teachers. The welding teachers are, in fact, really great and they share a lot of the frustrations Ill be voicing here.I started school after the initial COVID shutdown and the subsequent restrictions on attendance. I am attending school on campus every other day and spending time on my off days doing less than five minutes worth of work to fulfill assignments and its basically a waste of time. What that boils down to is Im paying full tuition price for half the education the average student has gotten. The institution is so money hungry that theyre taking the full amount of students and giving them half the time instead of extending the program into double the time or cutting class sizes by half so we can attend every day.The school got a grant because of COVID and decided to give it to students in an amount of $500 each and made sure to tell us they were doing us a favor.Im entering my final class term now and as a bonus kick in the teeth, theyve informed us that the president of Lincoln is coming to the school and as one of our class day assignments we have to clean the welding lab. We are paying money to clean and miss out on a day of school. Weve already missed one campus day per class schedule due to snow and now were assigned cleaning.I happen to think that if it were a real school worth anything, the president would show up unannounced and see whats really happening, not give the school time to put lipstick on a pig with the bare minimum improvements. As for the welding lab itself, most of the stingers are beat to death and barely work, the MIG machines go in and out of commission as the teachers try to fix them and make sure there are enough functional machines for each student (in a half-sized class!), there is one TIG assembly section for final projects so mostly you have to hope you have a small project that will fit in a welding booth, and all of the students who rarely actually attend school still pass because classroom assignments are weighed more heavily than welding skill. In short, you can work your tail off in and out of class and Tyler the screw up will still pass right along with you despite the fact that he only shows up one or two days per term.Dont make the mistake Ive made. Find another school that actually offers a degree instead of a certificate and make sure youll be getting full attendance time one way or the other. Lincoln Tech is a hard pass.

Went to this school for HVAC and it was a complete joke. Bottom line is money for them. Teachers constantly quitting and little to no help setting me on my career path. Don’t overspend. There are better methods for getting into the HVAC trade.

Hands down the best experience I have had. The teachers in the welding are very knowledgeable and make sure you understand every aspect of welding. Mr. Ramsey is the best, has made welding easy to get and understand.

Overall i would say this school does teach you a lot but the higher ups, as in the deans and administrators dont really keep up with the demand of the programs. For example, the welding class ran out material constantly and we were delayed 1.5 weeks because they didnt have the basic materials to start the very first phase. We ran out of metal constantly and rod on more than one occasion. You will learn how to weld because of the instructors like Mr. Moreno, Mr. Stone, Mr. Paul, and Mr.Kirby

This is THE best choice I’ve made in my life, the shop instructors are the best in the business. Ceasar especially. He knows welding inside and out, he is exceptionally knowledgeable in the process of tig I was not picking up how to do it at all, he came over showed me some of his techniques and it was so easy to follow and listen to what he was saying his teaching is phenomenal if you are debating on going here it is so worth it!!!

The Automotive program at Lincoln Tech is great. In just over a year I went from knowing nothing about the industry to being employed. Youll only get results if youre willing to apply yourself and unfortunately I saw many students expecting results without effort. The instructors are well experienced and with the help of courier services I had 3 job options waiting for me when I graduated. Well worth the time and money.

UPS is proud to employ Lincoln Tech students... whether as entry level package handlers as they work their way through school (with the help of our tuition reimbursement) or as Automotive Fleet technicians. We have been nothing less than thrilled with each of graduate that comes through and will continue to source candidates from Lincoln Tech.

I’ve been attending Lincoln tech for about 2 months and I’ll tell you what I’ve learned so much from Mr. Lopez. It has been such a pleasure to have him as one of my instructors. He has been there for me since day one, and he has always helped me when I’m struggling with welding. I’m honored to have been taught by him, and will always will remember as one of the best teachers I’ve had.
