I am a current student at PIMA Medical Institute- Denver Campus, enrolled in the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Program. If I had 3 words to describe this program, I would say rigorous, organized and rewarding. A common misconception with this degree/program is that it is an easier version for becoming a physical therapist.. that is not the case. You must be willing to put in time and effort to your studies to get through this program. This campus has been blessed with the most incredible staff. The professors are SO intelligent and they truly go above and beyond to make the students feel loved, understood, and supported. They are the the perfect combination of tough yet loving and nurturing. The program is an incredible growth opportunity for young professionals to grow not only as medical providers but as kind human too. I am honored to be part of this program and learn from such elite masters in the profession of Physical Therapy. The teachers have a passion for what they do and it is not an easy job on their part. They take time out of their incredible busy weeks to meet with students and ensure everyone is as successful as possible. Not everyone passes these classes and gets through these programs as people say in the past, you have to show mastery, dedication and competence. This program is extremely rewarding and I am thrilled to have the knowledge and confidence I do going into my clinical settings. Thank you PIMA and PTA staff!!

I had a very positive experience with PMI Denver, I took the Sterile Processing course with Mr.Heisey and though we did not get very much face time (thanks covid), the time we did have on campus was extremely hands-on and interactive. The labs were challenging but very enjoyable and the instructor was very high spirited and helpful. Overall, I recommend this school and course for anyone who has an interest in sterile processing, instrumentation, or instrument sterilization.

Put this off for too long; I was in the PTA program. Three of the staff who were DPTs were excellent, but the fourth (I’m not even sure she had the proper credentials to be an instructor) was the most in effective, Ill mannered, unprofessional, immature people I’ve ever met. My last memory at this school will be taking a proficiency with the shingles virus brought on by stress and sleep deprivation, and not being able to see out of one eye. Then looking at the blurred vision of a unprofessional, nasally voiced joke belittling and dehumanizing me. The most enraging thing was hearing her laugh about it with another instructor right in front of me afterward. I feel like I should be refunded for the classes I took with her but I know that won’t happen. I still have legal blindness in one eye to remind me of my time there. I wouldn’t expect anyone there to know or care; my only communication with them after was making sure I had a way to pay them. Thanks for the memories.

I’m a recent pharmacy tech graduate student from Pima, and I had a great experience while attending school. My instructor Lori & Shawna we’re always helpful when it came to class work or setting us up with on the job training assignments. It was very helpful for to learn & experience what type of work we would be doing in the field. From time to time I still keep in touch with my instructors. I’ve even thought about attending Pima again for a different program. I just want to say thank you for giving a wonderful experience. 😊

I used to be a student here about 7 years ago. Beware of this school. The school is only nationally accredited and not regionally accredited. Also, this school is definitely a for-profit school and will over charge you for credits that will not even transfer to a regionally accredited school. Also, they do not understand if a person has disabilities. I would not recommend this school to any person looking to further their education.

I just Finished my Medical Assistant Program and my Experience was Great! Loved the instructors, and yes you have to commit to your program and stay focused. They have a low tolerance policy and want to send the best out. If you cant give 100% then this is not the program for you. Save your bad review and go somewhere else. I love you Pima. Thank you for all you have given me .I recommend them to anyone whos serious about there future and what they are offering.

The experience in their Veterinary Assistant Program was great, they gave a first aid course computer time to finish any and all projects. We were given great Notes to Help study for tests. They even help you build your resume so you can get a job afterwards. Shadow day was the best it give you the experience you need working in the field youre going to school for.

I would not advice anyone to attend this school! First of all it is extremely over priced & any real college considers it a Cash Cow school... if that isnt a good enough reason then please read on... I was accepted into the Respiratory Therapy program and immediately regretted it! Most of the teachers are highly unqualified! Whenever any students had any questions the teachers & the instructor of the entire program (Mark) would tell you to just Google it. When your paying 40k for a 2 year program that is just unacceptable! His classes were an absolute joke to begin with, he doesnt teach you anything he just stands in the front of the class telling stories about his experience in the medical field and then gives you homework over things that were never taught. I dropped the program within 2 months because I was being harassed by a man in class and when I went to the instructor about the situation he spoke as if he could care less and didnt have time. I was then punished for false allegations that were made by the same man who was harassing me.. all in all I was charged almost 4k for less than 2 months of being in the program. I have now hired an attorney to deal with the matter. Save yourself the stress and go to a real school with better prices and qualified teachers!

Pima’s CNA program is really nice. Chrysta and Virginia are both amazing instructors who work very hard to make sure students are gaining essential understanding and knowledge as well as giving good time to practice hands on skills, preparing you well for the state board exams and for work as a CNA.I first heard about Pima from my brother who is fulfilling the respiratory therapy program. I highly recommend!Pima also has an amazing group of career service workers who give great information and helpful tools when it comes to applying to jobs, interviewing skills, resumes and cover letters, and even editing and revising your resumes and seeking out potential employers for you!

This is the worst school to attend! And way overpriced to go. On top of that, the equipment they use is so outdated, and they never had enough supplies for the entire class. My boyfriend I both attended and we regret it. The teachers dont care about you or try to help you out if you dont understand something. I would give zero stars if I could.

I wish I could give this zero stars! This place and the whole institute is a complete joke! They make it seem flexible but its not! They do not work with you if you have a job and are heavily penalized for needing to miss a class for genuine reasons. And nobody takes the credentials here seriously! I have wasted over $12,000 on tuition here and it was for nothing. The teachers are NOT QUALIFIED. The teachers are people without degrees and have worked in the field, sure, but thats it. Do not waste your time, invest in going to an actual university or community college.

NO STARS! This place is an absolute joke. Went through 5 teachers in 10 months. Veterinary Assistant program. Had to dissect cats. School administration told us to just dump the corpses into the dumpster which is COMPLETELY ILLEGAL! Chemicals and all. I didnt learn a damn thing at that school except how to memorize all the test answers (every test we were given to study for had the answers) Memorize the answers because they never moved around the question. Dont waste your money

Stop your bitching and do some research before throwing 15 grand for a school! It’s a for profit school - school that only wants your money and as long as you pay them they will help but once you don’t have money they will throw you out. Do some research and apply for a community college. School ain’t bad just make sure you have the money and good luck finding a job lol

My fiance goes to this school currently and they have been nothing but terrible to her. Her grandfather just passed away and her grade was penalized for her not being in class. She is being harassed by other students as well for being the outspoken intelligent women that she is and the faculty there wont do a damn thing about it. This is a terrible school. I honestly believe the only reason she has made it this far would be because she has self taught a majority of the material and made arrangements on her own for her externship. She has been so stressed and so upset because of this school. I can not wait for her to be done. I can promise you we will spread the word to everyone about terrible Pima Medical Institute is.0 STARS!

This school just wants your money. Gloria was an amazing instructor in the VA program. When i almost finished my externship Shawna never respond back to me and she refused to help me. She only help certain people. I am very offended on her attitude towards me. My friend had Shawna as well and treated her the same way. I got told that i will get help to get a job if we dont get hired at our externship. The place I was extern at was not currently hiring and they made it clear that they do not hire VAs. I let shawna know that and she made it seem like I was lying. Now I am NOT in the field I want to be in. I have to figure out how to make pay my student loans. Pima the best choice is to fire some counselors other than the instructors over something dumb. Shawna refused to help me.

I normally dont write reviews but the lady who gave me my tour at pima was very rude. Her name was Leona. Im interested in three radiology tech program and the first thing she said was this program is highly competitive, is there anything else that interest you? I felt like she was telling me that i was incapable of completing this program. She also rushed through the tour and showing me the radiology tech program last, she never turned any of the lights on in any of the rooms. My daughter was with me and Leona kept complaining that i needed to feed my daughter because she was fussy. Unfortunetly i do not want to attend pima because of the way i was treated.

I found the they substitute instructors that do not know the information to be taught and the instructors are not professional in their responses to the class. I am paying for the expertise of the instructors, and to support institute, and feel my money and education is/was not taken seriously and would not recommend this institute unless, they realize the students should be first and not be places in a classroom that does not feel safe or informative.

My girlfriend goes here and says this place is horrible. The teachers degrade her and say inappropriate things and shes constantly stressed over it. They have to do “check offs” in front of their teachers which is a big part of their grade and one of the teachers shows up late to them everyday, they didnt set aside enough time for everyone to go this week so now my girlfriends going to recieve a zero because she didnt get put in at the top of the order. She also tells me that they play favoritism and grade you depending on their mood. She is so stressed out over this joke of a program and has already payed too much money to quit now. I hope this place gets shut down because it sounds like a scam.
