Our infant was in bright horizons before we moved. I cannot say enough positive things…but I’ll try1) communication: absolutely phenomenal! The director always immediately responded to any of our concerns. She is a great listener and effective communicates (Ms. Catherine is amazing!) additionally the app for updates and pictures is so nice and makes you feel like you are going through your child’s day with them2) quality teachers: it was so clear our daughter was loved by her teachers and they would be so excited to share her new milestones with us.3) safe environment: safety was outstanding and a clean environment for our child to be in every day4) Covid protocols: as an ICU physician working with Covid patients I cannot say enough about how impressed I was with bright horizons Covid protocol. Their vaccination rate among teachers was excellent and the mask adherence was excellent.5) Transparency: transparency was one of the most important aspects for a daycare and the director Catherine would make it a point to ensure the utmost transparency about upcoming changes , issues that arose, etc.I would recommend Bright Horizons (along with their awesome director Catherine and all our daughters infant classroom teachers) to anyone!

I 100% recommend this daycare to any parents seeking care. They have been amazing and have truly done an amazing job with safety under the current circumstances of the pandemic. My toddler, who has delayed speech and at home for 1.5 yrs, has progressed so much at North Durham BH. Hes pointing, saying words, communicating, and overjoyed every time he goes in. From the teachers to the director to the admin, they have been helpful and wonderful. Price is reasonable too! If youre thinking about it, trust that your children are in good hands here.

Bright Horizons at North Durham has been a main stay for our family (LGBT) since our son was 6 months old (he is not 19 months). We have had nothing be good experiences for him. He claps in his car seat when we pull into the parking lot. We are welcomed each morning with a smile and thorough covid screen. Prior to covid we were able to walk the school and see how safe and clean everything was. Since returning to school once they opened after covid we were happy with the protocols put in place for entry each morning, cleaning, and in terms of communication. I am an ICU nurse with high expectations for cleaning and safety, especially now. We have gotten to know the staff over the last year and have/would suggest this center to anyone wanting great care for their kids. We especially love all the outdoor activities and planned learning activities.

We absolutely love this center. His teachers, the administrative team, the cook, everyone is so welcoming and amazing. I will say that this whole COVID thing is a mess and we made the hard decision to send our son back to school, part-time. I was 100% a wreck about the decision, especially after we spent a lot of time together in the spring and summer. I tell you, they have been incredibly professional, on top with communication, and beyond helpful. It took our son one week to warm up to all of the face masks, but after that period, he now literally runs into school. When we mention, “today, you go to school,” he runs to the door and calls for us to hurry up. He loves the place, which is tremendously helpful given this crazy time. He is also learning so much and coming out of his shell. I am so thankful and highly recommend this place to others.

BH was great with my older child but did not handle our special needs child well. Because of an awkward situation with him being a foster child (now adopted) they would not let my older son ( also at BH) visit with him during a temporary change in custody. This lead to high stress to both children, They also repeatedly gave my lactose intolerant son milk. The Pre-K teachers overall were great but I do not trust the administration.

Great little daycare. Tucked into a safe, low traffic corner amidst a bunch of medical offices. Its right next door to a good pediatricians office, too.The teachers we met during our kids time there were excellent, especially Miss Tivona. She was super patient, enthusiastic, and genuinely loved her job. The toddlers treat her like a rock star when she arrives in the morning.

I couldn’t be happier with the quality of care that I have seen at this center. As soon as I walk through the door I feel how warm the atmosphere is and the love that the team has for the children is present!
