I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM AND THEY TAKE SUCH GREAT CARE OF MY PRIDE AND JOY!!

We’ve been with Children of America since our first son was 11 weeks old. Both of our sons loved all the people who had been with them over the past few years. One of the best parts of the day was seeing my young son run up to Miss Shirley in the mornings and giving her a hug.You can tell the staff really get to care deeply for the kids they take care of here. I’m going to miss seeing everyone, and I know my kids will miss them all as well as we move away.

Have had the best experience after my son started going here! The staff members here are always so nice and have great personalities. Ms. Latoya is such a great person and always makes my mornings a more positive day :)

My child has been going here since 3 months old. I had my doubts being a new mom but picking my daughter up from her first day at COA and seeing the smile on her face gave me such a piece of mind. She is now 5 months and I can’t stress enough how awesome the school and staff are.

I worked with COA for (combined total) just about 8 years and I love the company. But I have to say that as a new mom, THIS school is the only place I would trust to leave my son. I know he is in the best hands. Having worked there for close to 5 years, I know the ins and outs of the every day going ons and I know the teachers that work there are AMAZING and they are lead by two equally amazing directors.

Both of my grandsons whom I have custody go to Children of America there is not a day goes by that I dont notice something they have done for my boys well beyond their job. All the teachers and staff are always ready to hold out that helping hand. They are family to us and we love each and everyone of them. I go to work knowing my boys are safe and well taken care of. And the center itself always nice and clean with all the childrens artwork hanging out on display for everyone to see making it a very warm environment. Thanks to everyone there for all they do. My niece and nephew attend this location. I’m completely impressed every time I visit!!! Nice teachers that genuinely care about the children. They are so loving!!! Its so much more than a daycare. The director is sweet! She knows how to make a human connection and still be professional. She is very attentive, positive and has a great attitude. Hands down, the absolute best!!!

I am a single mother and it is wonderful to see that my kids love this daycare. My little one who is 2 had issues letting me go at another daycare and now she cant wait to leave my arms to go in. My oldest likes it so I dont have to pull teeth to get her to go in. Is also really sweet that my girls give the sweet ladies upfront hugs. This daycare is awesome. Miss shirley the director is the sweetest along with all the ladies there.

My son started at Children of America when he was 6 months old, a year and a half later we still love it. All of his teachers so far have been amazing and caring. My son loves going to school everyday and some days its hard to get him to leave his friends. Management is great and is always helpful whenever I have questions.

My 8 year old feels very much at home here at the COA Deacon Rd. The staff is excellent. They are warm and friendly and encourage the kids to be on their best behavior. There is structure to each day and the kids seem to genuinely enjoy themselves. I am very pleased with our experience at this day care.

Mrs. LaToya and the staff are wonderful! My children love it here. They are so thrilled to go back everyday. From day one they have been very welcoming and very sweet to my family. The best daycare ever!!!

Ms. Latoya and her entire staff are like extended family to us and we cant see ourselves going to any other daycare. The girls are so happy with the amount of love they receive here and I trust this team wholeheartedly. As a working mom, it is not always easy handing my children into the care of others. The first center we originally chose when my son was first born, we figured out very quickly that was not a place we were comfortable. At 6 months of age we moved him to COA. He is now five years old in Ms. Audres class, and our daughter is two, in Ms. Candaces classroom. They are both amazing. Each teacher works so well with my children (who are not always the easiest). I can honestly say that when I drop my children off, I have no worries for them. I can see that they are cared for and loved. There are so many wonderful teachers at this school spread out between all the classes. They each have a special place in the heart of my children and in turn with me. You can see that the teachers work together to support each child in a manner that is best. As a mom, they listen to my concerns, communicate with me often, and are routinely working to see that my children have what they need. I consistently seek there guidance, advice, and compassion. However, the teachers are not the only ones assisting us. The Administration, Ms. Christine, Ms. Shirley, and Ms. Amanda take interest in my children, understand their needs and support their teachers in order to provide them the best care possible.

This is a Great place for your children to come. My nephews have been going here for 6 months now, and they have thriving in their learning and making great friendships.

This is the best daycare to take your children to. Its a 40 minute drive from me but it is totally worth it! Ms. LaToya and the rest of the management team are the best. I can always count on them! They make sure to greet my son and me and make us feel welcome every day!!

There have been several instances where I have walked into a room and it is several minutes before the teacher has realized I was in. I have seen teachers yelling/screaming at children, playing on their cell phones in the corner of the room, a child at the top of a cot pile in the bathroom and not utilizing sanitary precautions. I have met with management on at least 3 occasions expressing my concerns and do not feel actions are being taken to correct. It is always this will be addressed. With that being said I do not feel COA is a good fit for our family anymore.I do want to give praise to Ms. Candace. Her upbeat positive attitude and joy of teaching him and his classmates is something other teachers could learn from.

My son has been going here for 2 years now. The teachers and staff have been more than helpful with my son adjusting. The teachers always take time to talk to me about how he is progressing and even let me know when he was acting out during his terrible twos phase. Everyone knows my son and greets him every morning. The staff and teachers at Children Of America are our extended family!

Children of America has some excellent staff members. My nieces and granddaughter went there and really enjoyed the staff. One staff member in particular, Audreanna Braxton, really made me feel comfortable leaving them and made them feel comfortable in staying. The girls really loved Ms. Audre. Shes compassionate, hard working and a dedicated teacher. Thanks for all that you do.

Ms.LaToya and the other staff are AMAZING! I recommend anyone looking for a true center for your child to learn and thrive, they should come here. The staff is knowledgeable and they love what they do!

To say that I love this learning facility, is an understatement. My children attend their afterschool program, and they too, love it. Mrs. Latoya and her staff are welcoming and seem to never have a bad day. They help me tremendously by getting my children to start on (& most times finish) their homework. My children look forward to their days off school, just so they can be at COA all day.

I love working here. I enjoy the people I work with. This is a team effort.

Staff is inconsistent and management has changed 3 times in the 2 months my son has attended. There is insufficient communication with parents and the holiday schedules change with little to no notice. All payment issues are communicated to the headquarters office in Florida. Overall, only thing that is beneficial about this center is location.

It is with great joy and honor to write a review for Children of America (Deacon Rd). We are VERY particular and keen on details. We are initially from NY, and our children have always been in good schools. BUT this school is EXCEPTIONAL. COA is home away from home. We feel COMFORTABLE knowing that our 2 yr old child is SAFE at COA. The Directors (Ms. Christine and Mrs. Shirley) are truly professional and on top of things in this school. They are the face of Children of American. When you walk in COA, you will be greeted by them. They are NEVER in their office. They let nothing pass them, especially Mrs. Shirley. Ms. Amanda is so sweet and sees well in every child.The teachers are EXCEPTIONAL. They are not only teachers; they are nurturers. It was hard at first to see that, but I realized that it was needed for our son Matthew who we thought would have found it hard to adjust. Now COA has become his second home. He doesn’t even look back to say goodbye. Mrs. Candace, you are an Amazing and Fantastic teacher. You are patient, caring, dedicated and knowledgeable. Before Matthew moved on to his next class, you made sure he could count to 20, was out of a sippy cup and working on potting training. Although our child moved on to another level, he looks forward to returning to see you. Ms. Meshia (MIMI) you are awesome as well. Because of you, our child can count to 10 in Spanish as well as his colors. You always show tender care to the children.COA truly was the best part of our stay in Virginia. As we embark on our next journey to Texas, we hope to find a school as good as COA. You are the benchmark for the other schools we will assess moving forward. COA staff will be missed.Once again, we thank you for your excellent service.

Mrs. Raven is such a awesome teacher, I would recommend her to anyone she is bright, kind, and as a parent looking in you can tell she loves the children!!

Mrs.Toya the Director is a true gem, very professional and patient with the kids and that attitude was shown by the teachers aswell.The school is always nice and clean and my son never wants to leave once I pick him up.Definitely would recommend this location.
