Mrs tracy schreurs did an outstanding excellence on my hair today considering i was her first male customer to do partial highlights..i would recommend any of my friends or family to her to get their hair done by mrs tracy ..i would make her my personal hair stylist..thank you mrs tracy for the effort you did wonderful on my hair and i would come back to have you do my hair again....good luck in school cause you are on your way to graduate school..

Went in to inquire about getting my wifes hair done. And about the school enrollment program. The staff member was very short with both of us. We spoke to the Director who was also short and shooed away because she was too busy to help us. I would definitely not reccomend this place. We have never felt so belittled.

Was not aware that they will be closed until August 2020 due to the virus. Only students are there now. No customers being taken yet. Cant really rate because I didnt get to have an experience.No choice but 1 star due to not getting to go yet for quality.

I went here the day before school started and they wouldnt serve me because i wasnt 18... My mom had to come and sit in a chair for 6 hours. When I finally got in the salon chair the lady that was doing my hair was very gentle. It isnt really a problem... I asked for bone straight hair and got frizzy and creases whenever I put it up... I STILL HAD DANDRUFF in my hair.Since I only got a flat iron done to my hair, It was $20. the real price should have been 11 because thats how much they cost. They shortened the price, not because it was wrong, but because we waited for 6 hours. Im not gonna say Im not coming back because Ive been coming (with no parent) here bc I have good experiences, but theres no reason as to why my mom had to sit there when I have gotten my hair done on my own before.

Girl was very sweet but definitely not confident in her ability to do my toe nails and fingernails. Had the instruction book next to her that she referred to quite often. I felt sorry for her. She was doing the best she could. I thought it was funny when she and no one in the building had clippers to cut my toes nail. Definitely not the professional service instructed to these students that we did when I was a cosmetology instructor. Hopefully this sweet girl will be successful when she graduates.

So just recently I came in and asked for dark color on the bottom and highlights at the top and a trim to have a diagonal forward. I could not be more pleased with my hair!! I have had so many compliments on it! people have stopped me everywhere wanting to know where I got my hair done!! Empire Beauty School on Dixie highway! My stylist was so friendly and funny! She kept me laughing the whole time! it was great therapy! I will definitely keep coming here to get my hair done! I cant wait to come back for a facial, and Im super excited that they now offer makeup services!! Will for sure be getting that done!!!

I love the school! The students and staff are so friendly. They have the best talent that comes from this school. The teachers are very knowledgeable. I love the team work they display at the school! It is in a great location!

A year ago I went to this school because the one I normally went to a bardstown Rd closed the student they gave me didnt know how to wash or comb hair I was getting a thermal flat iron the girl was told several times by a fellow student she needs to apply heat protection she got smart & never used the heat protector and she didnt even part my hair to flat iron it just took chunks of hair I ended up leaving without getting my full service to not compromise the Health of my hair any further ... Here we are a year later I decided to give this site another shot this time I specifically asked for a graduating student the girl was really pleasant but she didnt put any conditioner in my hair are shampooing and she didnt detangle my hair before flat ironing it which made the flat iron clumpy at ends my hair was dry due to no conditioning and looked 4 days old fresh out the chair I think Ive given them a fair shot but at the expense of my hair healthy I wont be returning to the Dixie site

I always have a great experience there!! Everyone there is super nice and friendly and they do an amazing job for very cheap prices . Id definitely recommend them for anyone wanting a service done !!

Fr! Like they have this price list on the wall for braids its $40 for short 35 for med and 30 for long. They charged me 40 for my daughters hair which is med. Smh.. then they had a sign in the window for 3$ deep conditioner but told me it was five. These people got me all the way pissed. I will never come in this place again.

Loved it! The students were so talented and the educators were so helpful! Definitely recommend.

This place deserves negative stars. The “manager/ instructor” was very rude when having to bring a teenage client back after her simple trim and thinning was botched. I was almost physically attacked by another “instructor” as I was speaking to and getting constantly interrupted by the “manager/instructor”. This is the most unprofessional, non-customer service based business I have ever been to.

Very unprofessional and uncoordinated place.i waited 2 hours to get placed with a student that had no knowledge of the simple style I wanted and the teacher was unwilling to assist her until she attempted to do my hair first. Nasty attitude and very unwelcoming ghetto environment. Needs major improvement there!

Went in on a Saturday morning which had been told they would be open 9:15 to 1:00. I get here with why family and we was turned away. They had no waiting. They had 4 students with clients. We was never asked if we wanted to wait. Our cuts would not of taken long. She said some girls was only there for four hours. Could of said it will be this long if you want to wait. Not from around here new to the area but heck ALOT of rude businesses around here.

This place is a great start for your career move.

A very bad experience!!!! My mother sat in a wheelchair for a long period of time. Nobody helped her. People were coming in after her and being taken care of. I called the lady which was very rude told me to make an appointment. Really you have students sitting on their butts talking to each otherand doing nothing. But they were waitimg on appointments they had. How hard is it to wet some hair with a spray bottle and cut 2 inches off.Never again will anyone in my family go there!!!!!!!!!!
