I love Empire on highland. As a currently enrolled student, my application process was easy and quick. The teaching and administrative staff are very professional and they will make sure you get everything you need to succeed. The school overall sets you up for success and get you motivated to be in the professional beauty industry. The students here are very professional and they love what they do. This school is definitely a place you want to be if you want to go far in the industry.

The person working the front desk had an attitude and was sooooooo rude and disrespectful. She was even yelling at me as I was leaving without get my hair done. My mother, retired Shelby Co. Commissioner, referred me and my friend to them, and I have NEVER Been treated so horrible at a black owned establishment. The manager need to teach her students Customer Service and Business Etiquette.😕

You all def.l need someone better at the front desk answering phones. Attitude on ghetto

This place is not what it used to be. I came for a updo and the young lady who received my ticket couldnt even twist my hair. Another student proceed to do my hair, however she advised me that my hair was a little rough (by rough she meant i need a relaxer). I know my hair was thick thats why i wanted an updo. I had my last relaxer back in February however i tried to get my hair relaxer every 4 months because too many relaxers can make unhealthy hair. After I was done, they put that edge control on my hair which i didnt ask for and it left white stuff all around my edges which took days to clear up. I thought that they supposed to ask if you wanted edge control on your hair. The style lasted a week which is typical for a student whos in training. After taking down my hair I notice that my hair was extremely hard. I overheard one of the students say that they are closing the school soon. I was not pleased with the outcome of my hair and texture after I took it down. This school is very talented and i hope next time I have a better experience.

At this school they will tell you they can do the style but can’t, it takes forever, plus 3 to 4 people in and out your hair. The worst I ever been to and mos definitely will never go tht direction again!!

Had a young lady by the name of Sabrina. She was patient with my natural hair and took her time which I appreciated and I was happy to tip her. Where it lost a star I called the day before for an appointment and wanted a different style for my hair, when I got there they had no one that could do it. Other than that, good service.

Ms. Kim is a great enrollment advisor. She is really caring and understanding. Ms. Kim goes out of her way to ensure that us students at Empire get what we need done to be our very best. We are extremely grateful to have an adviser like her at the facility. She gets the job done and is very kind hearted and uplifting. This school did a great job in choosing the best advisor. Keep up the great work Ms. Kim.

I love the great experience from when i first enrollend and started my journey here. The instructors are very knowledgeably and the information im obtaing i can use anywhere.the school overalll is great i love the experience.

They can not do hair took my daughters their for a up do and they couldnt braid or twist. Some them got bad attitudes how yall mad at the customers because yall cant do hair. Wish that girl name jarisha was there I think thats how you spell it.

Empire Beauty school Career planning specialist Ms. Kimwana is an amazing lady. She is very helpful with making sure you have everything you need for the enrollment. She takes her time with the students and try to change lives by bringing them into the beauty industry. Ms. Kim has an loving energy about her she is always walking around with a smile and making sure your day is going well. She can walk in a brighten a room with her energy. She is a great career planning specialist at the highland location.

Wilson, Paula,and Rebecca did a great job on my hair. These ladies are very nice and really enjoy their work. The instructor was also helpful. I give them a 10 and a 5 Star. May God Bless you all.

I enjoy attending Empire Beauty School. The learning atmosphere is warm along with the educators and director. The knowledge and attention that they give towards cosmetology is unmatched. I would highly recommend this school for any aspiring cosmetologists.

Students do an excellent job on your hair. They are aspiring to become great hair stylists. Instructors are encouraging, knowledgeable and helpful. They want to see the students excel.

Went in twice for a simple ponytail. Both times tmit became undone within an hour. Will not be going back. If they cant do a simple ponytail then they definitely lack with a more complex style

I have been to several different schools for services. I had the worst experience at this school. I went to get a pixie cut. My hair was butchered. I got there at 1:30pm and was there until 5:15pm. I was taken back pretty quickly but the cut was horrible, the shave was horrible. The shave and cut is so uneven to fix it, I would have to shave my head. I cried. I am still crying. It was butchered to the point of no fixing it. It looks like a two year old cut my hair. I feel a two year old would have done a better job. I had to go buy a wig to cover up the butchered mess that was left for me.

I am very disappointed with this location an school. The staff are very unprofessional an the kits are cheap an students dont have products needed. Something fishy is going on with financial aid for those students an they are left with debt an kicking students out when nearing completion. They split there checks up then when they get the hours stop paying an send Bill after they drop them..... Local News NEEDS TO INVESTIGATE A.S.A.P...... Excellent service

I went in to get a basic shampoo and flat iron. My hair is naturally thick. My stylist had to flat iron my twice, because it was still thick. She flat ironed it again and it looks as though my hair hasnt even been touched. I was very disappointed because my instructoror nor did the receptionist ask if I enjoyed my services. My hair was so thick that I had to put it in a ponytail because it looked as though my hair had just been rained on. Needless to say I will not be returning to this location EVER! The staff lacks customer service for sure. Since, I had already been there for three hours I told her not to worry about doing anything else, but I definitely have to go home and redo it myself.

The reason y i love this place because it can help me alot on what im tryin to do in life. And thats why i chose to come here so I can learn more at this school and become a good beautician one day and have good clients comning to me.
