This review is for a class taken pre covid. The teacher we had was impatient so I had a negative experience. Will not be returning unfortunately.

I had a free trial from Classpass so I used some of my credits to sign up for the Beginner Hammock class. I had no problems checking in. It was a fantastic experience. It feels pretty weird and awkward at first, because a lot of the moves involve hanging upside down and being in positions that youre not used to, but once you realize that the hammock really does hold you up, and you wont fall, it becomes really cool. The fabric hurt a little bit at the beginning, even though I was wearing long sleeves and leggings that covered my legs, as recommended, but I got used to it after a while. The moves involve a lot of lifting yourself up and flipping yourself. There are only two hammocks so they keep class sizes small. My class had 6 people in it, and we took turns doing the moves in front of the rest of the class. That part made me nervous knowing that everyone was watching, and I think that made it harder for me to accomplish the positions, but I eventually got them down, and the instructor is super helpful and patient, as were my classmates. My arms and abs were sore for a week after this class! I loved it!

While the teachers are nice, the front desk staff particularly on Sundays continues to make me feel unwelcomed here. Sets a bad tone when first person you encounter has an attitude. If front desk was as pleasant as actual teachers it would make a big difference.

I love everything about Aerial Arts NYC. I was one of those kids that always dreamed of running away and joining the Circus but it wasnt until well into my adulthood (49 years old to be exact) that I finally plucked up the courage to take an aerial arts class. The instructors at Aerial Arts NYC are top notch, they know their stuff (and are really nice people to boot)! Safety is fundamental but they dont coddle you, and each class brings its own challenges and rewards.

This place is amazing, the contortion and handstand class with Topher is my favourite. But regardless, all the teachers are great and all the classes are fun!

Staff is very nice and super welcoming. They know their stuff! Safety always comes first. The class sizes are perfect for feeling like youre really getting the most out of your hour (or however long your class is)! I keep coming back.

I was in the city over Christmas this past year and signed up for a rope class. I definitely was challenged the entire class long. Excellent instructors, great facility. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
