My experience was really amazing. I had wonderful, talented instructors that taught me a lot of great skills and techniques to make me a better MUA. The school was really warm and professional and I am so happy that I chose to attend this academy. The lessons were fun to learn and experiment as a new upcoming artist. I’m not a MUA I am a actor/model. I was lucky to be used as a model for the students. And let me tell you I almost signed up for the 5 week class! The teachers are awesome helpful and super talented! The students didn’t disappoint either! The whole vibe of the school is creative and fun. Music pumping up everyone and just keeping a positive atmosphere for everyone. Plus as a new fresh model in the industry they offer trade for work! Which is invaluable to us models as we get fresh updated photos with new and unique make up looks! Honestly I would be gladly available to be a model again and again for this amazing school!

I had an excellent experience here. The instructors are very knowledgeable and highly skilled in the many fields within the makeup industry. They are helpful and encouraging, and aim to bring out the best and help you master it all in the short weeks of the course. Best way to gain the most out of the course, is practice on all your acquaintances between classes. It was somewhat difficult finding models for each of the classes. If you can, press all your relatives and friends into service!

Although I already understood the basics of applying makeup, I am still so grateful I decided to challenge myself by taking the master makeup course at the make-up academy. I gained so much more than I expected to from this experience (building a portfolio I am beginning to feel proud of, refining several techniques, becoming a sanitation specialist, networking with other models/ artists & feeling much more optimistic about future career options.) All of the teachers and staff are so full of life both in the classroom and in the studio; their positive attitudes completely transformed the month I spent learning here! I will definitely miss seeing everyone and spending time there each day, but truly believe this has kickstarted a beautiful journey for me. Thank you for the motivation, tough love, and inspiration.

I started makeup school on May 3rd, 2021 and it was the best decision of my life. The classes are smaller which was a plus for me because I felt like I got more feedback on what I needed to work on. Everyday we had a different instructor which is also a plus because we got to see different techniques and applied what best fits. The photoshoots were fun and you get to experience what it’s like to work with a photographer. You get 9 professional photographs to start building your portfolio. I’m definitely leaving the school with a lot more confidence and prepared to know what I need to do to succeed in the makeup industry.

Hello, if you are deciding on attending this school as a newbie or an expert, I would definitely recommend it. They are very professional and help you throughout your makeup up journey as a makeup artist. I am student right now and I am really enjoying it, the teachers there are very extremely helpful and professional. Not to mention these teachers are very friendly. Each teacher has different techniques on how to apply makeup, which I find helpful, especially if you want to try a different technique and find one that would be easier for you. As someone who has ever touched foundation before, after these classes I feel more confident about using it and applying it on others. Attending this school also helped me become more social and interactive. Overall I am really enjoying my experience at the school and making new friends.

I took the 5-week extensive makeup artistry course and the 3-week hairstyling course. And by far, it’s the best decision I have ever made.I never thought I’d learn how to do any hairstyles, but I did. Lauren, our instructor spent time with each step and was patient throughout the entire process.The makeup classes were also very hands-on-deck. I enjoyed the creative lessons and the photo shoots were very helpful. I took a solo three-hour class at the school. Taylor was an amazing teacher! Took me right through from the basics, answering every question I’ve ever had about make-up and how to apply it properly! Not to mention brush-technique, color-theory and all the mysteries of how to best chose products to suit my skin tones! She was also VERY fun to hang out with. Will definitely be back.

I am studying at the best makeup school in New York and this is the last week of my studies. I will miss school very much. During these 5 days I got used to it and made friends with all the teachers and students in the class. These were my best 5 weeks in a while. A very positive environment! Cosmetics are provided entirely by the school and are presented with a cosmetic bag with cosmetics. I came to school with absolutely zero knowledge, but now my makeup work on models is great. At school I learned a lot of makeup techniques and the most important thing is now I can do absolutely any makeup. I am very grateful to this school! And I will come again for new knowledge! Nina Mua makeup academy is an amazing makeup school. I’m doing extensive 5weeks makeup program and also 3 weeks hairstylist program, so far I’m enjoying it. In less time I have learned a lot. We have hygiene and sanitation lesson in makeup which is very important now. The school also provide us Professional makeup kit which includes Foundation, concealer, contour etc. We have a photoshoot, which I’m exited for. The teachers are friendly and everyone have good communication. Hopefully I’m growing up my makeup passion, Thanks to Nina Mua makeup school. 😃👍💄💕

I attended the level 1 makeup and beauty course. They were extremely unprofessional and not worth the money. The owner Nina herself is extremely rude to the students until she realizes it will affect her company. There was so much unnecessary drama. I saw teachers have temper tantrums for no reason, body shame the model I brought, and was extremely racist to me. Me and a fellow classmate were the only ones she would ever call out even when we didn’t do anything. There was only one nice person that worked there and she left and also didn’t like working there. Don’t go here if u have an option I’m telling you from experience. It’s not worth it they are so unprofessional.

I recently completed my 5 Week extensive program at NinaMUA makeup classes NYC. Id like to start this review with expressing how much I loved my experience. From the first day that I decided to take a tour of the school I knew it was going to be an amazing place where I would spend my next few weekends. The entire staff was super welcoming and encouraging. The school of itself was super clean and bright and it was set up like every makeup lovers dream station. I was so nervous when walking into my first day but soon realized that I had no reason to be because my instructor was literally amazing. Lauren is so educated on every part of what it means to work in the makeup industry. With her extensive knowledge and super bubbly, friendly personality, this class was even better than I could have ever expected. Im sure all the instructors are great but my recommendation is that if you ever consider coming to NinaMUA, ask for Lauren and have no fear because she will make sure you leave educated and confident and feeling like it was money well spent. On our final day photoshoot, Sue and Lauren ran the shoot smoothly and without a hitch. Sue is a talented photographer and it was so fun being on set with both of them. I look forward to taking the hair course next and possibly continuing portfolio building with this school. I have no regrets and neither will you.

Attended the Makeup Level 1 program. The experience was great. Developed a friendship with the other students who attended. 3 out of 4 teachers we great. Very attentive, helped you and guided you when needed. Explained everything in details. The other teacher was ok just wanted to be more of a friend which is great but I’m here to learn so show me what I’m paying for. Overall location was great to get to, the studio was nice. And at the last lesson the photoshoot was amazing and so much fun. Doing making, taking pictures, dressing up. It was a wonderful experience. I am going to miss going to class but I’m thinking of taking another makeup course and maybe hair course. Overall Nina MUA was a great experience.

I absolutely LOVED every single second of attending this school. I graduated from the master makeup & the hair styling programs. I learned so much. Although, I’ve been doing makeup for 5 years, taking the master course allowed me to truly perfect so many creative looks with more structure & a better visual with new & advanced technique. The hairstyling class allows you to be more marketable as an artist especially if you wanna work on set so that was totally worth it. (Never had interest in hair until I took the course!!!) I recommend this school to everyone; my models who’d come in people I know from work (retail makeup industry) thought the environment was sooo amazing even just as a guest for the day! I previously attended another makeup academy and didnt finish the second half of the course and then it closed so I found this makeup academy and was blessed by its amazing instructors and professionalism. There were different instructors to show different styles and techniques and I learned so much about the makeup industry. The atmosohere is very lively and friendly, It motivated me to further perfect my makeup techniques. This is my favorite academy hands down.

I took hairstyling classes with Nina Mua and it was absolutely fantastic. She taught me lots of different hair techniques, brides and updos. Classes were held in nice and cozy studio. She was also very friendly and I got so much attention. Its definitely place to go for aspiring stylists. I am going to come back for makeup classes.

I am rating one star because as a private class I was expecting more information about make up. Also the class wasn’t completed. We stopped right when we were supposed to choose the lipstick and the girl thought me I should get another class..... so I use my own lipstick.... when I asked questions she said we should schedule another class.... well I do not agree. It look like they just wanna get your money .... not professional at all.

I loved this company! When I lived in New York I took their classes and learned so much. I learned how to contour the right way which I was thankful for. The staff was very friendly and I loved the fact that I got a discount at a few different makeup stores for 40%. It was very convenient because I was working as well so they were very flexible with my schedule. I would definitely recommend these makeup classes.
