Peridance has been a cultural hub in the east village for years. A totally top notch New York City institution. I’ve been taking ballet classes with their excellent teachers since the nineties. It is an international dance destination- for all ages and all levels. I have profited so much that adult beginners and intermediate- non professionals— can get professional training. They are fully committed to teaching all kinds of dance to students at every level. Love it!

My daughter attended the Global Summer Dance Intensive at the School of Peridance and loved it! Over the course of two weeks, she was exposed to a variety of dance classes and professional choreographers. She gained a new love of dance while increasing her confidence. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

It is always a pleasure working with Peridance Center. The facilities are always clean and the studios are kept in great condition. Fantastic sprung floors and vinyl surfaces too!

Bringing a group of college dance students to Peridance was a great way to get them integrated in professional classes with artists from the city. The teachers were patient and challenging while giving excellent classes and feedback!

My teenaged daughter is thrilled to be able to go back to dance classes, and loves both of her classes this semester. I appreciate the option to do trial classes to be sure you have the right fit, and their communications are excellent.

My first experience at Peridance was also my first New York in-studio experience since before the pandemic. The facility seemed well prepared and I felt safe as a result of their precautions. The best part of my experience was taking Teddy Tedholms contemporary class. Teddys welcoming energy as he introduced himself to the class instantly set the tone for what was about to be an hour long journey of self discovery through unique guided artistry. I wish he was on the schedule more frequently so I could come back to take his class again.

Took Grants Beg/Int Jazz last Thursday at 6:45pm in studio and it was so much fun! Felt so good to be back on sprung floors with plenty of space and large mirrors and feeling the energy in the room. Spots are sectioned off and masks are required so it feels very safe at Peridance.

Our now 10-year old daughter has been dancing since age 3 and based on our experience with 3 other schools, one in NY and 2 in Michigan, Peridance is the single most amazing studio weve encountered. First, they are real -- its not a dancing school -- it is dance as culture and way of life and that make such a difference in our daughters experience. The staff -- teachers and administrators -- are genuine and accessible -- and the diversity inherent to the Center -- of age, race, culture, and dance style makes for remarkable space for learning and personal growth.

Peridance has been such an amazing experience for my daughter who is passionate about dance but started learning fairly late. They are serious dancer/teachers who are amazing at teaching technique and are generally super nice too. This has been our best dance experience in NYC by far.

I didnt get to go because of an unforeseen event, but they were very kind to accompany me in my application. Very very good attention!

Peridance has a good mix of instructors and a demanding set of conditioning., tailored to the core and style of dance that is being demonstrated. I recently traveled to nyc for work and decided to take a dance class at Peridance Center. On the day of my scheduled class, the A/C line was suspended. I immediately contacted the front desk notifying them of the issue and the fact that any alternative route would put me after the 15 minute cut off timeframe. The woman on the phone told me that she could put the credit back onto my peridance account, but that it would expire in 14 days. I notified her that I would need to travel back home the following day and asked if the credit could be extended. She then told me that there was no manage on site at that time, but to email the front desk about the issue in order to have this done. After emailing the front desk and manager twice, I still havent heard back. Ive taken dance classes at various studios throughout the city, but this would have been my first time at Peridance. Overall, its extremely disappointing and has given me a negative view of the customer service of the studio.

I love taking class here whenever Im in town. Lovely studios, teachers, and environment. Highly recommend

Peridance is one of my favorite places to dance in the city! They have a lot of charm with nothing super fancy, but they get the job done with what matters and provide excellent dance training in a comfortable environment. Small studio feel with top-notch teachers who seem to really enjoy teaching. There are so many different classes for beginners to professional students, really a great place to dance for everyone. Also love and appreciate that they offer student discounts for college students - really makes classes more accessible for working students! Hope Peridance can start in person open classes soon!

First time taking class here - friendly staff & fun class! Everything was clean and everyone was social distancing as well as wearing masks (this was before requirements were lifted).

The Global Summer Dance programme run by Peridance Centre has been a great success - of course it’s such a shame that Peridance Summer Intensive this year couldn’t take place in person in New York studios but the online version was very engaging and enabled students to still learn a lot. We are very grateful that Kaja could experience Peridance all the way from London. She loved it and enjoyed exploring such a great variety of dance styles. No doubt it helped her to grow as a dancer. Special thank you and mention goes to Kelly Voelpel, the Programme Co-ordination - Kelly made that experience special and personal, thank you for your support. Peridance is the best. My six-year-old daughter is taking a beginner Tap/Ballet class and just loves it. Because of COVID, the class has been Zoom only, but the instructor (Alyssa) has done a wonderful job of keeping the class engaged virtually. My daughter looks forward to it every week. The staff is very user friendly and helpful with suggesting the best classes for your student, handling sign up, and communicating zoom credentials and other scheduling issues. My daughter previously struggled with shyness and stage fright when taking dance classes, but her instructor has helped her come out of her shell. We cant say enough nice things about it. We look forward to some in-person studio time one of these days!

I have taken a variety of dance classes at Peridance since moving to the city and I am impressed by the range of dance genres and high caliber teachers and instruction provided. Have improved in my technique as a result of training here. Some favorites are Billy Blanken, Diana Warren, Breton Tyner Bryant, Grant Chang, Kate Loh, for ballet and contemporary. Many studios, times and teachers to pick from, also more affordable than some of the other studios in the city.

I had an amazing time and education at Peridance. I love that they have a versatile range of dance styles , that is really important. So many great teachers.. I hope I will come back soon

Our son is his tenth year as a dancer. Weve experienced many studios and organizations: none come close to offer the mix of warmth and excellence that Peridance does. Its teachers seek high but realistic standards. They know when/who to push and how to keep the love of learning and dancing at the fore of their classes.

I feel so lucky to have found Peridance for my daughter. She loves to dance and Peridance is a great school for any kid who has a passion for movement. The School at Peridance takes dance, posture, movement seriously and teaches lots of fundamentals which is great. They get to know each student and make recommendations based upon how to help them grow as dancers. And during the COVID shutdown, Peridance has moved so much to online so that my daughter could continue to connect with her dance community and grow as a dancer.

I was able to focus on my studies without distractions. All the students are serious about their studies and the teachers are able to coach ALL levels. With focused study, you can really go from beginner to exceptional skill at Peri.

I majored in ballet in Korea, and I took a Peri dance class during my trip to America. The classes were so good in various curriculums that I wanted to study abroad in Peri dance. Thank you for providing me with a good class.I really want to go again.

This is the first dance studio that Ive been to since I moved to New York. They have variety of classes from youth to adult, ballet to hip-hop that taught by talented dancers and artist. I appreciate their proficiency and hard work and highly recommend this place for people really love dance

Peridance is my favorite studio to dance at! There are many studios of different sizes and a lot of them are sprung marley floors, which is really good for your feet and jumping.The adult ballet classes are welcoming of all levels and the teachers are knowledgeable and very good at teaching. Everytime I go I learn something new. My favorite class there is Kats pointe classes. She is very good at teaching and is not shy about pointing out what you are doing wrong and how to improve it. The class consists of adults and children of all levels: long time adults looking to continue their craft, adults just starting out, and girls looking to get extra work in before their summer intensive auditions. Sometime, Kat invites male dancers to come and teaching us partnering work that you cant get anywhere else. In those partnering classes, shell teach you everything from how to work better in the center and how to not kick your partner when you do pirouettes. I highly recommend coming to Peridance and, if you are doing pointe, to come to Kats class!

Peri Dance Center has absolutely some of the best students to come out of that studio. The teachers are dedicated and the students work so hard to achieve their dance goals. Would highly recommend to anyone who is serious about their training.

My daughter started ballet a month before the pandemic. From the beginning, the staff was terrific and very welcoming to my daughter, especially Kelly. Everyone is professional and kind.When we went on quarantine, it was halfway through her session. We emailed Kelly after the email was sent out about the new schedule and precautions, and told us we could get our session refund in classes. She was very kind and gave us lots of info about our options. You can find ballet equipment there at the studio, just in case you forget those ballet shoes at home, and the prices are not very pricey, but just enough. We will most definitely be returning for their classes this fall!

Peridance Center is an incredible community of talented artists and dedicated students. I a always feel so comfortable walking in there to take any class; reception is always warm and friendly and the classes are open and welcome to novice dancers and professionals alike. Peridance has beautiful open studios and plenty of space. As a professional freelancer, peridance is my go to for class! 10/10

I used to go there twice a week before COVID to take African dance classes. The teachers there are definitely the best ones to follow as they give authentic moves and music. I wish reopen will happen soon!

My daughter attended the Peridance Capezio Summer Dance Intensive program in 2019. First time in New York without me and it was a three week program. She stayed in residence and shared a dorm apartment with four other girls. Peridance provided a RA, for trips back and forth to the studio and outings. I was apprehensive at first, but then I spoke with Rachel, from the Peridance facility. She eased my worries and ensured that all the dancers would be well cared for. My daughter left Peridance with a greater level of confidence. She was excited to get back to her home dance studio to start implementing everything she was taught. She came home knowing that she wants to be a dancer, without a doubt. Her experience at Peridance was phenomenal and the personal insights she gained is something that can not be measured. If you have the chance to send your dancer to this summer intensive do it, it is so worth it!

My daughter dances here going on 6 years now. She started at age 7. She loves it and is still doing it remote during these cover times.

My 7yo daughter loves the classes here from ballet to modern to hip hop. They have done a remarkable job getting classes online and maintaining a sense of continuity, allowing my daughter to keep dancing while in lockdown. The staff always have been amazing and great at communicating.

In April 2019 I had been attending various weekly courses at Peridance Capezio Center. I very much enjoyed the contemporary and ballet courses, were I met very professional Teachers and very very nice people from all over the world. My best dancing experience ever, in a gorgeous city. I have always loved taking classes and doing intensives at Peridance. They have been so amazing adjusting to distanced programs during this difficult time. I absolutely love taking classes and speaking with all the faculty!

My child was accepted to attend the summer camp there, I paid my money and canceled at the beginning of March well before camp was due to start. When I followed steps to request a refund I was told by Peridance I could not receive a refund due to the pandemic they did not have te funds to give back at this time. Peridance later said they offer online classes, as I told them we wasnt interested because thats not what I was paying for. No one from Peridance have gotten back with me since nor have I received my refund or attended any camp.

As a professional dancer I participated in classes at Peridance, and I have also been a member of the faculty in the past. It is a wonderful institution.

Peridance is superb among dance studios in NYC for professional training. They have a wonderful work study program to learn the background of the dance world, a wide variety of classes starting at 7am and ending late in the evening (even on a Saturday night,) and a warm community of dancers, choreographers, musicians, teachers, students, kids.You’re bound to meet someone new or run into a long time friend in the halls. I highly recommend taking class and studying at Peridance. 🦋

The set up of the theater is very convenient for dancers to be able to warm up in a studio and then perform in the theater. The staff they have for shows is second to none! It is so refreshing to work with such knowledgeable, enthusiastic, supportive, excellent professionals! You wont be disappointed here!

Since the lockdown, Peridance hasnt failed to give us back to back virtual classes with professional teachers within/globally. I personally have enjoyed all the classes thoroughly even with little space at home. But I feel very grateful to the Peridance family for such hard work thats been put in and I do really appreciate their work. Also as an international student in their school, they have really taken care of us.

Alison Cook Beatty Dance performed in APAP in 2013 and 2018, as well having our New York Season in both the Fall and Spring of 2018. We were so happy with Peridance we will be having our 2019 New York Fall Season, two weekend run, this November 1st, 2nd, 8th, and 9th with guest choreographers! We highly recommend the theater. The staff at Peridance is outstanding. The location couldn’t get any better, the lighting plot is absolutely beautiful which aids in a great video production. Our audience members gave wonderful feedback in terms of the comfort of the house and seating. As well as the dancers themselves enjoyed performing on the beautiful stage. We highly recommend renting the theater at Peridance for a performance, and the best thing is the price. For the quality they provide compared to other Manhattan theaters it is a great deal. It is a joy that they provide a space for dancers to perform in this way. Thank you Peridance!

One of my most memorable times was when I volunteered at the 35th Gala and made friends with artist I will be friends with for the rest of my life.
