I called them maybe 20 times to get information about the prices and other things as well. Each time the person said I’ll send an email to you but he made fun of me not sending anything. The last time I called again and he said check the website! What? Why didn’t u say it at the beginning and waste my 5 days!!!!! A school with NO RESPECT for people. If you do not want to give information, why do you put your contact number? If they are not that interested in the registration stage, I am sure that they even will not look at our faces after registration.

I decided to come back to LSI after my first experience here. As an international student learning English prepare for my master studies, I feel very fortunate when finding LSI. First, the teachers are excellent! My first teacher was Christopher. She had a unique way to make 4-hour classes become very interesting and enjoyable. Lucy, my second teacher, had special way to teach grammar. Once she went through any grammar rule, I thought I would never forget. Second, LSI has a good way to collect great students who come from many countries but are very friendly and kind to each other. Maybe we all enjoyed the classes so all of awkward moment on the first day passed by quickly. I had experienced with some English schools in NYC, I think LSI is one of some schools that I can trust. LSI’s director, Kerry, and her staff are very enthusiastic and professional. They helped me complete the registration process and obtain my F1 visa so quick that I was surprised and happy. I liked the experience at LSI. I gained so many good friends as Im learning English. The activities were nice and I think this is the most important thing that makes LSI different than the other language schools. I also enjoyed my time there because all the staff and teachers were very understanding, friendly, and helpful. I would like to come back for next time if I have time. I only attend an afternoon class 2 hours daily for 4 weeks at LSI. So I cannot say anything about the morning class.My course is called Business English and contains a good mix of different topics. Just do not expect too much Business... its not like in an University with deep insights into vocabulary of Management, Economics and Finance - not everybody of the group has a strong interest or background in these fields... but ones learns new helpful expressions and improves the general English, for sure!To sum up this seems to be one of the good language Schools in New York. Classrooms are big, comfortable and good aerated. The class-size is small. my lecturer Michael was great!I have also seen some other language schools which basically more work as Immigration Centers. If you want to improve and practice your English seriously, I recommend LSI !!!

I have spent time working at LSI NY as an activity leader, which puts me in frequent contact with all of the students. I can see how they learn as they progress through LSI and it really helps. Of course, not everyone starts on the same ground but the students who are not as proficient in English makes significant strides in just a short amount of time. LSI is undoubtedly one of the best options for someone looking to improve their English speaking and writing skills.

Learning English in this school was one of the best experiences I have ever had. Traveling alone for the first time is something very scaring, being it in a completely strange country is quite more difficult. I’ve spent the first hours of New Year´s morning reflecting on the last twelve months, and one of my personal highlights was definitely my trip to New York City. Looking back on 6 ½ exciting weeks. I was keen to improve my English and took part in an intensive course at Language Studies International (LSI) New York in TriBeCa. I felt comfortable there from day one. The staff was welcoming, supportive and professional. The arrival of the new students and the grading test was well-organized. The second day my advanced course started, and I became part of a class full of wonderful people from all over the world. I appreciated the opportunity to learn about their different cultures. Travelling alone, it was great that I could meet my classmates for dinner, drinks, shopping, art exhibitions, open-air cinema, a Broadway musical or just inspiring chats. I made new friends and we are still in contact. Michael, our class teacher, motivated us with his lively and dynamic teaching approach. He made learning fun and inspiring. We talked about interesting and current topics, reviewed grammar and gave presentations. Michael created a fun and easy-going atmosphere and encouraged everyone to participate, but also expected a certain level of motivation and cooperation. Furthermore, I had private lessons with Lucy to work on my conversation skills and business communication. She is a cordial and empathic teacher, who corrected my mistakes in a very supportive way. The one-on-one lessons with her were fun and very effective. She is also the Assistant Director of LSI New York and will help you if you have questions or worries. LSI New York is a place that you want to go if youre looking for a combination of: Learning English from natives teachers + Meeting people around the world + Traveling in the Big Apple, probably the greatest amazing breathtaking city in the world. I maen, think about that: You wake up at 8am, go to school and improve your English from 9am to 1am / 4pm, then you go out with your new friends to see the Empire State building, take some unbelievable pictures from the 86th/102nd floor, and finish your day with a nice musical on Broadway... during the weekend you can walking around Central Park or fifth avenue, or just waiting for the night to enjoy in a bar or in a dance club - if that isnt heaven - so what is heaven???

I studied at LSI New York in Spring 2013 and it probably was one of the greatest times of my life. I swear, Im not exaggerating. I had always dreamed to come to New York but when the dream started to come true, I was also worried about how I would manage on my own and how I would fit in in a structure I knew nothing about filled with people of very diverse cultural backgrounds. But LSIs staff and students made my worries disappear in an instant. At the end of my first week there, I already felt at home. Victoria was so sweet, nice and welcoming when I got there.Then I just had the most delightful time with Lucy, a wonderful, caring and very competent teacher who provided me with the perfect Cambridge Preparation training to ace my First Certificate of English exam. What was awesome about her class is how she made everyone feel at ease in the classroom. In a general way, LSI offers a very safe and comfortable environment I think. Its perfectly located, its premises are very nice and modern, everyone treats you with respect... But it was really in Lucys classroom that I felt even better. She had the gift to make the dullest grammar lessons interesting, she was great at pushing us to constanly challenge ourselves in our writing. She was of outstanding support and I admired her patience.I also loved all my classmates with whom I believe I bonded pretty quickly. I learnt a lot from them and they helped me overcome my shyness. I even have to say that today I deeply miss studying with them, chatting with them and Lucy. They were all so kind and friendly and motivated to learn English. I surely never had felt this happy being in a classroom before.I also was very fond of Los and Christophers classes that I took after my Cambridge Preparation course with Lucy was over. Lo, as Christopher, were both one of a kind. Lo was probably the funniest teacher Ive ever had, I liked how energetic, enthusiastic and quirky she was. She made me feel more confident about my English speaking skills. As for Christopher, she was a fascinating character, I was completely hooked by her stories and all the topics she brought up in class. She stimulated fantastically our capacities to think and exchange in English about news issues. She gave me the motivation to keep reading English as much as possible after I left New York.In short, my experience at LSI was more than positive. It surpassed all my expectations, made my realize a lot of things about myself and and improved my English writing and speaking dramatically I think... or at least, made me feel better about them. I went there for about a month and a half during my stay in New York.I have a lot of classes for different language levels, and it was very helpful to be able to consult and reselect the class each time.I took various classes, but Ian Zuckermans class was especially wonderful. We take classes because we cant speak English fluently, so there are many things we dont understand or give opinions during class. Meanwhile, Mr. Ian uses simple words that even people with low English proficiency can understand, and sometimes he / she advances the lesson so that he / she can understand while showing images. It was a very professional class because it was excellent in creating an atmosphere in the class so that people with low English proficiency would not feel inferior.There are few Japanese students and they come from various countries, so it was one of the pleasures to go out and communicate with everyone after school.

Excellent place to learn English. I arrived knowing absolutely nothing and the truth is I am happy with this great experience, Professor Ian was great in his very dynamic and entertaining classes, he masters teaching language very well. I leave grateful and with the promise to return. 🇺🇸🇨🇱

I took a course together with my husband for 3 weeks, in addition to feeling super welcomed, we advanced considerably in our knowledge of the English language, the classes are dynamic, the teachers are rigorous and friendly. We were often working in small groups, so we could exchange with other students and share what we know.I absolutely recommend this school !!Excellent school !!
